Go ahead. If you have the time, look up on my comments about the X Box 360 announcements for The Witcher 2. You won't find a single negative or crying foul from me. Just like prodiZA said, I even congratulated the 360 guys for getting the The Witcher 2. The only one negative statement that I did say was when a console gamer said that now that they've made a console version, future Witcher franchise should stay on the consoles/become console exclusives.
And CDPR spent ...
I don't have any complaint much about the UI. It's the impact such a move on PC gaming that worries me. Every time I hear an announcement about Windows 8, they will always slip in or emphasize that it is compatible with mobile devices. There's nothing wrong for a company to address to market changes but look at what MS had done to PC gaming when it shifted focus to console gaming. You hear them promised to give the PC more focus every darn year (when they are asked at E3 and other...
When Surface (a windows 8 tablet btw) was announced, MS used a classic PC game to show what it's capable of.
Then, MS predicted that PC sales will decline by 2013 and tablets will rise.
That doesn't give me much confidence with MS's "commitment" to PC gaming. Especially when W8 is heavily promoted to be optimized for mobile devices first, PC second.
When the X box 360 came out we see tons of MS games for it, nearly none...
I'm holding my cpu back. I'm still using the stock Intel heat sink that came with the package.
Good God, man. WHY!
Violence is mostly due the person itself.
A house mate has been very hostile towards me since last year. Spiking my drinks with salt, pouring water into my work shoes and peeing on to my mattress (3 times). Not really sure why he hates me.
He's lucky he had me as a house mate. The rest of my family and relatives are hot headed and vengeful people while I'm the most docile. I have a machete and a cane at my bedside but never once I've fantasied usi...
Nope.
They could release their games within a year and improve on the previous one while adding a chapter to the story. They are continuing the aftermath of Crysis 2 so why wait years for that?
They could also develop a game for so long that by the time it's release it's so different from the last one and it's made for the new generation of gamer. The story and gameplay will be different from the last time we've been in an alien-infested New ...
A knee-jerk response type of article.
A mobile game sells more copies than consoles - It's the future!
A mobile game look as good as a console game - It's the future!
A mobile device with a quad-core GPU and the same resolution that human eyes can see- It's the future!
One of the funniest things that mobile gaming supporters said is that they don't need the raw power of the home consoles or gaming PCs to enj...
Armored Kill reminds me of a BF2 modded/custom map I used to play. I forgot what it's name was but it was a desert map with rolling sand dunes and banks. There were a lot of capture points, a lot of vehicles and a lot of TOWs flying around.
So how that leave The Last of Us? It's pretty and focus on the emotions of the main characters.
That was the shortest article I've ever read.
It's only natural for them, id and Epic in particular, to do this nowadays. When they first transition to the consoles, they said a lot big stuff about how the PC is too hard to code and the consoles can provide a more more streamlined and easier development process with piracy being thrown in just for fun. PC versions being NOT the primary SDK or priority in their to do list.
Of course at the same time both studios used the latest PC hardware to show off the highest reso...
Yeah he's just lucky. He even admitted that(kinda) in a recent interview saying something Minecraft is a one in a million fluke- that those after him won't be as lucky.
Really, I understand the appeal of the game's concept but the graphic it too bland to get me to try it. Then, I saw a recent mod that plays around with the shaders and suddenly the whole game look so darn pretty. After that I thought : "What the hell is Notch doing after all these years when ...
I haven't bought the BF3 Premium thing. I don't know why.
"why would it turn to COD if it went on console???"
....Operation Flashpoint : Dragon Rising and Red River, anyone?
@Smkt
Yeah. We'll still have to see when Windows 8 comes out to get/give the final judgement. I'm just not uncomfortable with MS ever since it shifted focus towards the X Box and cared almost nothing for the PC. The only times MS praised the PC is when it needed them to sell Windows Vista, 7 and now 8. Other than that it's all about X Box. Even the 360 gets the latest MS-designed hardware such as the Kinect and Smart Glass. The PC...has yet to see any of those apart from a...
The indie devs who were swooned by XBLA got a harsh reality check when there's barely any promotion about their products and the long certification process.
Windows 8 will have XBLA handle the gaming portion-the very thing that made most XBLA indie devs branch out to Steam.
A couple of years ago a friend asked me which game platform he should buy. I recommended the PS3 for him since he is a big Gran Turismo fan back during the PS2 era and he was asking about GT5.
A couple of minutes later I saw him tinkering something on a writing pad. Something like codes...like the one in this article's screenshot. Wow, he hasn't made up his mind whether to buy a PS3 but in just mere minutes he already downloaded a sample save file and busy decrypting the...
It's unethical for Steam to sell Linux versions of its games? But Steam is also selling Mac versions of its games. So why is selling to one version is ethical but it's unethical to sell to another? MS doesn't even want to promote Alan Wake for the PC and during last year's E3 MS was too busy promoting the X Box 360 version Call of Duty MW3 instead of the Windows 7-exclusive BF3.
Steam is a form of DRM? Yes, everyone knows that and accepted this form since it...
I used to be a staunch supporter of physical media but a number of factors have made me changed my views.
First is the online distributors' discount offers are too hard to resist. Currently Steam is my top choice followed by GamersGate which always give such aggressively low discounts but Steam has faster download speed. In my place games are sold at full priced all the time and I rarely see them getting discounted.
Second is that both of my top online di...
