Say give up your xbox and get a PS3, why not have both? A better arguement would be (like always) if you have neither, which to buy now that prices are coming down? Well, if MS drops the price again next week as rumored, no contest-- the 360 would win by a landslide. Think about it from an unbiased customers point of view: the only people who REALLY know about the RROD problem are people who have had to deal with it and retailers. But many retailers, esp. Gamestop, would encourage people...

How is an overall score of 80 bad? Most game devs would be thrilled at a metascore of 80, or even 75, so is that what the REAL argument is about? Does Too Human have to get an overall 90 or above to be a success? Even if it sell 2 million + copies?

Too Human, as an action RPG, is going to be a big game. Lots of customization, different classes, single player and co-op, etc. NO ONE but people at MS and Silicon Knights have played the whole thing, and yet people who get the chance to try it for even up to a couple hours write previews (both positive and negative) of a game that is still not "done" and is probably too large to make an educated opinion of. So I think that Mr. Dyak has every right to challenge nay-sayers, even th...

Its been listed in Gamestop's computer as an October release for months.

A combination of things- other great FPS games out on 360 already, with Battlefield coming still BEFORE UT3, and Epic already announcing and showing Gears of War 2. (As far as why 360 gamers show little interest in UT3). As far as why it did poorly on PC- I think more and more gamers are looking to consoles for their gaming, and people that still play on PC are mostly WoW players, or more recently, involved with games like Age of Conan that take all of their time...

Blizzard was told that they would never succeed, Everquest had cornered the market, there was too much competition, the game was "to similar" to other MMORPGs, no one would pay a monthly fee to play a game for more than a year, etc. But the game proved all the nay-sayers wrong. People in the MS camp just smile and say "Too Human will do alright", and they are the ones who have seen the most of the game. I think Silicon Knights is keeping it close to the chest, and that ...

How can it be rape if no one forces you to do it? I personally consider my videogames a "collection" and don't buy a game I don't plan on keeping. Friends and I exchange games with each other to play, so not all of us have to buy every game we are interested in, either. Also, renting games is a cheaper alternative to buying/trading, and places like Gamefly couldn't make it easier. The two biggest gripes I have with this article, however, are (1)the fact that you should "exp...

Where stuff like this comes from-- PS3 FINALLY got a AAA game in MGS4, so the 360 is dead? Aside from big exclusives (of which there are more than 3- duh!), a lot of multi-plat games are coming out on 360 that are going to be awesome as well. Look at Unreal Tournament 3- been on PS3 and sold poorly. Comes to 360 with improvements in every area (graphics, speed, # of maps, split-screen, etc.) and will sell well because 360 gamers BUY MORE GAMES. I think I heard a little earlier this week a...

Is a blu-ray drive. As much as it would chafe them to give some credit (and royalties) to Sony, the larger storage space can and WILL be necessary (look at MGS4 and Resistance 2, for example). I think that digital downloads of movies, tv shows, etc., IS the future (even Netflix has jumped on board, and might be working out a deal with MS as I type this), but having a HD drive in your system for the people who want to OWN the movie on a disc is just covering all bases and a smart business mo...

Are things that most people that are interested in this game will be understanding about. For one, the focus-- that's what I want in my action game, action. If I wanted to watch hours of cutscenes or try and follow some all-encompassing, bizzare storyline I'd get MGS 4. The other problem, the camera, is kind of "the price of doing business." If you give a player a plethora of tools for destruction, an awesome fighting and animation system, and expansive and varied levels to unle...

To anyone who actually read the post that Microsoft didn't tell them how to review the game, Gamespot contacted Microsoft about the "issue" with load times... and MS was nice enough to send a response. There are all sorts of different iterations of a game - Alpha, Beta, Preview Builds, Reviewable Builds, and Retail Boxed Copies. If people on this site think that "most" game reviewers, whether at a magazine or other media outlets, including online, are reviewing "Reta...

See my comment below. The price drop is NOT a reactionary move, but something that was planned all along. From the moment MS got Rockstar to agree to release GTA 4 day and date on the 360, they have planned to make sure that more people buy/play it on the 360 than the PS3-- thus a price drop before GTA launches and securing exclusive downloadable content. You can't blame Microsoft-- Sony had the option of securing GTA 4 as a timed exclusive like the rest of the series, but even though the ...

So far. Competition there with the PS3 is fierce, in the U.S., the 360 has such a lead that when the PS3 outsells the 360 by only 10,000 units or so a week, it would take them 37 years to catch up. The fact that MS hasn't dropped the price in the US might give some people the impression that it is a reactionary price drop. But if you will remember, even back to last holiday season, the rumor was that with Mass Effect, Halo 3, etc., MS didn't need to drop the price then but would wait until...

Someone forgot to check the newswire: the next Guitar Hero is all Aerosmith songs. Might be worth a look for 29 or even 39 dollars, but for full price-- no way. I guess since Guitar Hero: Aerosmith is out in June, they will probably have a "regular" sequel for the holidays with new songs from a variety of bands, but I would rather they took the Rock Band route and just release a decent amount of downloadable content for GH3-- then you can pick and choose the songs you like and no...

And according to our computers, it SHIPS on MAY 6th, so release date of May 7th. Yeah, the week after GTA 4. I would almost bet money that this date (May 7th) will slip-- Microsoft will be on the GTA bandwagon for sure, especially with that premium Downloadable Content stuff being 360 exclusive, and won't want Too Human to get lost in the GTA sales hype. Also, if you have been following the Epic/Silicon Knights scrap, SK might have to prove that their engine does not contain any Unreal Eng...

Do everything they do in order to make money. This is called "Business." Also, when it comes to defective product, at least the 360 doesn't catch fire. Look up "sony laptop batteries" on You Tube and you'll see the kind of "reliable" products they make. Also, I was part of a class-action lawsuit against Sony for defective drives in early PS2's. Sony LOST that suit, by the way, and to this day refuses to admit they did anything wrong, even though company docu...

I find it interesting that the 360, an American system, sells best in america and the Wii (and PS3) sell best in Japan. Same thing last generation. Perhaps racial bias?

But he lost me completely when he said: What Sony does have, however, is a proven track record. They have a long history of delivering a wide range of diverse titles that constantly push the envelope on game inspiration, game play, etc. They have done this for decades while being a huge corporate entity the entire time. -- But then did not give a single example. I am not denying that this is right, but examples would bolster such a position. I also feel that Sony is in a much better position ...

To see the PS3 fans talk about "wait until 08." Dudes, you been waiting for 2 years already, doesn't that get a little tiring? I mean, Home is delayed, games are still coming out on 360 first and looking better (Orange Box), and super-hyped games like Lair turned out to be a turd instead. If you wanted to point out that the 360 had a year head start, okay, fine. But even so, by now the waiting is getting ridiculous....
