That people who held off reviewing this game and didn't jump on the "Hate Too Human" bandwagon are tending to give it higher scores. The more I play the game, the more I like it, even though (to my shame) I almost bought into the negative hype and cancelled my pre-oreder. I am glad I didn't. After all the shooters and racing games (GTA 4 is just both together) playing something completely different is a breath of fresh air. If you are curious, at least rent this game and give it...
That the 360 is sold out in Japan. Think about it-- if all the stores in the country were only selling 7,000 or so units a week, then all of a sudden they sell 5 times as many, chances are they would be out of stock. Even with ToV releasing, do you think retailers are going to all of a sudden quadruple their hardware for a system that never sells? Duh! The fact that 360's are not available explains the sharp drop in ToV sales as well...
IS that in the gaming press, especially, and quite a few gamers, people have been bemoaning the fact that the game industry has been taken over by Sequelitis (you know, GOW 2, Fable 2 MGS 4, Killzone 2, Resistance 2, etc.). The gaming press especially always complains about "where's the innovation? Why isn't someone making something NEW?" So, with Too Human, that is exactly what Denis and Silicon Knights was trying for-- something new and innovative in story, control, etc. So it...
Is that Haze has been out for awhile, has dozens of reviews available to be read, and has been universally panned as a mediocre game at best. Too Human is not out yet, there are no official reviews available yet, and except for a demo, no one has played it yet. So maybe next week you could claim it sucks, this week its still unknown...
1. Fanboyism
2. Ignorance

VALVe is to blame. Gabe stated all along that the time and effort needed to program for PS3 was not worth it at the time (no middleware, crap support from Sony, small install base, etc.) But when EA signed on as publisher, THEY made the decision to port Orange Box to PS3.
That everyone who has actually PLAYED the demo, (and for some, maybe even most, it takes multiple play-throughs), seems to like it. It takes a bit, but people who give it a chance start to get what SK is going for. Too Human is different from every other game on the 360 so far, and SK has said all along that the combat (being on the right stick) and the camera (fixed, but multiple viewable angles)were something new that they were going for. The more I play the demo, the more I want the game...
I think he is right on with LBP. Its a prettied-up, fake 3-d sidescroller. Basically the same as Donkey Kong Country on the Super Nintendo. Whoo ho, you can play co-op and make your own levels. I predict that user created levels will show up in three main forms: dirty picture recreations, advertising for favorite... somethings, and impossible hard just for the hell of it. No, doesn't sound fun to me either. Should be a PSN game if anything.
Isn't that just another term for a wiener?
Oh, I get it, you are some kind of vulture...
That this is not news. Denis Dyak's name has been all over the internet lately, so a lame post to get hits in my opinion. Will say that I have noticed alot of the Too Human haters have disappeared after the Demo came out and was pretty good, lets see how it sells....
If you claim Too Human was "too short", when did you play the full, retail game?
Just like Home will show us all how to do Online right... when it releases on the same day as Duke Nukem Forever!
Use all games that haven't been released yet, when up til now, games released on both systems almost universally look better and run better on the 360. So you can whine "lazy devs" and "360 port" all you want, but it sure makes it SEEM like the 360 is the more powerful machine.
Sony, who loves there consumers so much, pulled backwards compatability with ps2, removed usb and media ports, put in smaller hard drives (40GB) and THEN were able to reduce the price. So less system = cheaper price. Duh. What about there dual-screen talk, lack of rumble in initial sixaxis controllers, etc. Gimme a break.
I think the authors point was that since Sony so completely dominated the last gen in terms of overall software and hardware sold, exclusives, third-party support, etc., that they have the most to lose this gen. As in, could lose, might lose, was apparently losing. This horserace is far from over, and how many times has the leading horse faded after the final turn? I see why Sony and Microsoft ignore Nintendo-- the Wii is an epic fail in my opinion. Look at Nintendo's E3 press conference ...
A developer has to defend itself against idiots "Holy cow, game looks suxxors for 10 yr dev cycle!" And yes, anyone who thinks, claims, or tries to somehow support an arguement for this game being in DEVELOPMENT for 10 years is an idiot. Read the article. Being initialy announced/shown whatever 10 years ago doesn't mean the same as being in DEVELOPMENT for 10 years. Jeesh.
Read the article. In that ten years they put out 2 critically acclaimed games on the Gamecube (Eternal Darkness and Twin Snakes), while ALL DEVELOPMENT on Too Human was stopped completely. So how did it take them "10 years to get their act together?"
Have you ever heard of Duke Nukem Forever? First release date was listed as 1997, still in development for possible release this holiday... its been an industry joke for, well, 10 years going on 11 now!
Is the fact that GTA 4 being so inexpensive, people who sold it, traded it, whatever, will be much more likely to purchase it again if the DLC is worth it.
