Im all choked up. Noble team FTW
either way till people are blue in the face. Fact is, selling games used is LEGAL. If devs have a real problem with this, why aren't they lobbying congress to get the law changed? Because there is no hope of that happening- it would set a precedent that would destroy free trade and commerce. People sell used stuff all the time- Ebay, Craigslist, Yard sales, Used Cars, etc. Why aren't the people who manufacture these products demanding money from their sale used or that used sales...
A price increase is long overdue. I have never thought that paying for LIVE was a rip off. I've played games online with both systems, and playing online on the 360 is a better experience--hands down. Cross-game invites, built-in voice chat, etc. is worth the money to me. Plus, the games I like and the friends I like to play with are all on xbox LIVE, so that makes my choice a no-brainer. And like many people have already mentioned, you can get pre-paid LIVE cards for less that 50 buc...
behind multiplayer for all games is that is the easiest place to add DLC, which means more money for the developer and publisher.
I have dabbled with guitar and there is no way a game is really gonna teach you to play, sorry. The new Guitar Hero has a superior setlist, and that is what I want- new songs to play with the fake guitars I already have. To take full advantage of Rock Band 3, you need a new guitar, a keyboard, and upgraded drums-- too many good games coming out this fall, cant afford that b.s., sorry.
It points out in the article that the 360 business is the only part of the entertainment and devices division that DOES make money. With the new 360s selling like hotcakes, Fable 3 and Reach out before the end of the year and Gears 3 in the spring, MS's 360 business is sitting pretty good. People who claim that Fable, Halo, and GoW aren't system-sellers-- so what? Thats what Kinect is for. Look at the pre-orders for it-- people will bye the new xbox/kinect bundle for christmas lik...
Everyone ignores those Amazon pre-sale numbers. I work for Gamestop and can verify that Kincet is slaughtering Move in pre-orders and consumer interest. Parents are looking to get it for kids (dam Kinectimals), and hardcore gamers are buying it for the controller-free interface, video chat, and voice recognition. The $300.00 bundle, with a kinect game, will sell like hotcakes for Christmas. By hyping 3D and Move at the same time, Sony has confused consumers-- I have people ask all the tim...
Gears of War 3
To transfer info using usb thumbdrives, moving stuff to this new console should be a snap. The 360 slim has 5 usb ports
Work at Gamestop, and yesterday had a guy come in to buy a new black Wii. $199.00, he has four kids so four more wiimotes and nunchucks, (3x60)$180.00, so total price plus tax was $412.73. You only need one Kinect, so to add it on for $149.00 or get a $400.00 bundle is not outrageous at all.
to watch as it is to play. My kids wont let me play it unless they are there to watch, and they are totally hooked on it!
Just how acurate those numbers are. I know they are Europe-only, but I work at Gamestop in the U.S. and Alan Wake sold out at all 7 of the stores in our area. (so did Red Dead Redemption, actually)
Activision is using the large numbers of bugs and glitches in MW2 to avoid paying I.W. all the royalties they would otherwise be due.
Multiplayer is glitched, singleplayer too short. Should be a 360 exclusive like Forza 3.
Not very likely.
F*^&%ng game trailer ever!
Like which system has which exclusive games, most game variety, which system do multi-plat games look best on, etc., should also be taken into consideration....
I have been going to their site for reviews, previews, walkthroughs and guides since the N64 days. News like this does not surprise me. Some people seem to forget a very important fact about the game industry: it is a business. It is about companies making money for their shareholders. This type of "underhanded" or "sneaky" advertising is not new; game companies have done things like pull ads from sites that give less-than-favorable reviews to their games in the past,...
The frame rate only drops ever so slightly when changing views, maybe one or two frames per second. How many games supposedly "locked" at 60 fps jump all over the place? When you add this to all the other improvements and inclusions in Forza 3, it does look like the definative racing game of this generation...so far. If Sony ever released GT5, then who knows?
has more to do with Bulletstorm releasing in Feb.-- Epic do not want to compete with themseves for sales.
