This blog says it's phishing, whilst every reputable news website says it was a hack. Wonder who to believe
So everybody who had no problem with the controls is a fanboy?
"Fact is if you don’t like something in a game, there are probably plenty of other people that don’t like it either."
Not really, most of it is subjective.
"If the controls feel clunky in an FPS that doesn’t mean you are a Call of Duty fanboy,"
No it doesn't. But what Bathyj suggested may have some truth in it, as CoD's aiming feels very smooth thanks to...
On the flipside, I still have PS2 Backward Compatibility on my launch hardware. Those new adapters may have paid less, but mine has features that theirs don't and will never have.
As for reliability, wasn't PS3's failure rate something like < 4%?
It never surprised me that Xbox failure rate was > 40%, as Microsoft likes to save some bucks on Testing (Windows, Xbox.. )
True, but at the same time the problems will be different on each platform, so you'll end up ignoring some of them on at least one of the platforms anyway, so you might as well pick the platform that shows you the game in a form that's closest to the developer's design
The game's the same on every platform, with the exception of finer visuals.
It's also the platform that sits right in between the Xbox and the PS3, as it's a platform everyone is familiar with, allowing for a more general review.
At the risk of sounding like a hater: Hence why you shouldn't use the 360 for reviewing a game.
If a game is on Ps3, Xbox 360 and PC, and I had a strict deadline to review a game, I would do so with platform of choice in this order, based on reliability:
PC > PS3 > Xbox 360
It still surprises me that a lot of general reviewers, amongst others Gametrailers, fail to use the PC version to review the game.

Honestly... I've never noticed it. Besides, I'm just happy to have Split Screen!
Lol, exactly what I was going to say, but I guess you beat me to it :P
To keep things simple, here's two simple facts:
2x amount of RAM != 2x amount of performance
(In fact, it might perform worse due to power dissipation)
Console RAM != Kingston/Corsair ValueRAM
Consoles use very optimised and specific RAM to meet needs for the most optimal performance.
When it boils down to it, a Games Console will want to work as optimally as possible. To choose the amount of RAM, research is done into the...
"For the CPU, it depends more on the clock speed."
I'm just going to stop reading here, as this is completely incorrect. Clock Speed has some relevance, but it is by far the worst stat to look at when you're thinking in terms of performance. Its instruction rate is far more important, and is a far more accurate stat on how well a processor will perform.
Look for DMIPS and WMIPS to get some stats.
" the following disclaimer: I love Uncharted 2. Among Thieves is one of the best games of this generation of consoles."
The moment I read this I lose faith in the review, as it means the person is no longer reviewing this against the rest of the games in the market (as games are usually reviewed), but is instead reviewing it against mountain high expectations.
2GB - 4GB sounds realistic to me. It has the positive effects of a large amount of memory to play with, without the negative side-effects of power dissipation, which would have a far more obvious effect on a console than on a PC, due to the speed on which instructions need to be grabbed and data needs to be read compared to a PC.
Considering the amount of rumours we've heard on this lately, I'd imagine that it's rather likely that this is true. All rumours point t...
This vid was posted yesterday already...
"You are just a sony fanboy whitelightning so it just seems that way to you."
Okay, let's go by that logic
"There is more anti-microsoft BS on this website than anything"
There's as much anti-microsoft BS on here as there is anti-Sony BS. So that makes you...?
"and its because N4G is mostly populated by sony fanboys like yourself."
Think you already said it yourself.
Probably an addition that hardly adds anything to the Kinect, then is hyped up by Microsoft as the second coming, sells at a high price, earns Microsoft a lot of cash and leaves their customer base very disappointed.
Sorry if I sound like a jerk saying that, but they've proven on multiple occasions that it's not beyond them.
A surprise to see at as an XBLA title. But we'll see at the VGAs what it's about.
It's even worse for me. There's games like God of War 3 that I love but haven't played past the first hour, and then there's games like White Knight Chronicles, Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time, and Assassins Creed: Brotherhood, as well as Half Life 1 & 2 that I own but haven't even played yet. I'm creating such a large backlog, and University doesn't allow me to catch up :(
Looking forward to see the visuals. I've already got all 3 games on Ps2, and have a 60GB Ps3.
But if there's a visual difference, Sony can have my money for this one!
"There's a massive difference: this isn't a hack. It's simple phishing."
Phishing is a form of hacking. But that's besides the point, as that's not the only thing going on.
Phishing is very common, but what is not is the number of reports that have been coming in for the last month or so, something which started here:
