Every other game has been able to deliver multiple graphics options. I think it's just this game that's going to be a massive disappointment LOL.

That would not be a failure of any graphics card, that would be a failure of the company making the game to to deliver a good product. Also, how many people are going to have a 4090 anyways lol.

I usually choose higher fidelity modes, but this news is concerning, because everyone else since this gen launched has been able to implement graphics mode choices. It definitely hints at performance and development issues. I have a feeling this game isn't going to run well, even with the 30 fps cap. I could be wrong, but this game might be a total shit show.

What? This is a multi-plat game that was cancelled for last-gen. If neither Series X or PS5 have a 60 fps mode, I'm guessing that means something went horribly wrong with their optimization or development. Maybe even not a dynamic resolution, just native 4K. If that's the case, I'm wondering if we're going to see some major performance issues with the game. People might want to hold off and wait for some reviews and Digital Foundry to cover it.

Most console games this gen run at 30FPS when you're targeting 4K, and 60FPS at 1440. Generally dynamic resolutions. I'm surprised there aren't options. I usually choose fidelity modes, but I know many prefer to run at 60FPS.

At least with BotW, it encouraged you to get creative with approaching fights, especially on hard difficulty. You could use your abilities, and physics/interactions systems to kill enemies. Chop down that tree and roll it on top of their heads. Start a fire and and blow it towards them if they're in grass. Drop food and stealth kill, or break the platform underneath them to fall/drown, get them electrocuted, etc. Hell, you can kill them with chickens, or steal their own horses and trample...

I fucking love AI.

That's pretty much the only way. And businesses that are making most of their money through automation, those will have to be nationalized, and their profits will have to be one of the funders for UBI.

Eventually you won't have to buy games at all. AI will be able to generate any type of media and art at will. You would tailor as many parameters as you wish to influence the outcome. People will share their creations with others, and some characters will become famous/popular through memes. You'll see a character that someone invented and generated be used in video games, movies, animation, music videos, etc. If that's able to be copyrighted, people will be able to make money sim...

And within that two year period, many people have still had problems finding them, due to chip shortages, scalpers and crypto farmers. It hasn't been too long since the prices on them came down. I know like one person with a 3080 and one with a 3090. Hell, some people still can't find PS5s lol. This generation is two years in and feels like it hasn't even started yet.

A remaster of the Fatal Frame 2 remake that was on Wii would be very welcome as well. That game is great. Scared the crap out of me the first time I played it as well lol.

I doubt they really even started active development until after Red Dead 2. That and all the money people pump into GTAV, development continued on the online mode for years.

People think this is coming out this year or something lol. We're not seeing GTA 6 for another 3 years.

I mean, they just really officially announced that the game was in active development like a month ago, and I'm also not sure if we even know when this build was from. The game probably isn't going to release for another 2-3 years at minimum. People are like "it doesn't look good." Yeah, no shit, it's probably not even half finished yet.

I think he'd be very proud and happy with how well the Switch has sold. That was his last gift to the world. Man, Iwata's death still makes me sad. The last public messages we got from him, he was endlessly apologizing for the state of the Wii U, and didn't make long enough it to get to see how the Switch would launch. :(

Tekken 8 was huge, but it's also multi-plat. GoW, we already knew about it, and I was going to buy it anyways. Stellar Blade is something I'd check out on sale, if it had great reviews. And for Rise of the Ronin, I've played so many Team Ninja games(most of them actually), and I just...always lose interest. They're decent developers, but ever since the beginning nothing they've put out has truly gripped me to the point where I would say it's a great game and recommend ...

If you don't think much of Zelda's storytelling, I highly recommend giving this a watch. The stories in those games are often told very subtly. This is a documentary that breaks down the elements of OoT's story, and it's still one of my favorite youtube videos.

There's only so far they can bring a PSP game. I'm honestly surprised they made it look this good. Seems much more on the side of a remake than a remaster. Square Enix is confused xD
I am hoping for Japanese audio this time though, because the English acting in the original was atrocious.

Man, most big Western devs and publishers are just crashing and burning right now, aren't they?

I think there will be many improvements over the original. For one, the Switch has a power advantage over the Wii U in just about every way, so some of the technical limitations they had in development with BotW can (hopefully) be overcome. More enemies, NPCs, maybe elements of a persistent world. Also, as a sequel, they didn't have to make everything from scratch, so they've had the time for years now to refine the engine and mechanics, and look at what could have been improved from ...
