Capcom released Monster Hunter Rise and Resident Evil Village this year, and those were both two of the best games of the year.

The assault rifle in Infinite is ridiculous. Rather use that and BR over any weapon save the power weapons. Anyways, many of these weapons have their use in Big Team over arena game modes. Vehicles and such. Game just needs more maps and custom play lists.

Terranigma is one of my favorite games of all time. Damn near a crime that it never got a Western release. Amazing game.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided did it WAY better, and didn't need an open world to feel completely full. Fantastic game, and a shame it sold so poorly.

The Series S is a really good deal, especially with Game Pass if you don't already own any games from MS. I have the X, but my girlfriend has the S and loves it. Very impressive little console.

It's a Gamepass strategy. Watch a sale for Ultimate go on right about the time Halo campaign drops. Free multiplayer, if you want to check out the campaign and Forza, etc, try out a cheap subscription too.

As much as I don't really care how good the graphics are on Infinite, the original Halo games were miles ahead of anything else in the console space at the time. The OG Xbox was an absolute beast, hardware wise anyways, compared to the PS2. PS2 had a legendary game library, but it definitely wasn't running games like Halo 2, Morrowind or Doom 3.

MCC is great. 343 put ALOT of work into that game well after launch.

The Wii U got Zelda games on the Virtual Console, Wind Waker HD, Twilight Princess and BotW though. And Wind Waker HD was excellent. Streamlined story and gameplay, with an entirely new lighting system. I'm more surprised that hasn't been released on the Switch instead.
Can't argue with loving the Wii U though. Mod it and you have a great emulation system, with native Wii, Gamecube and Wii U library.

Word. I love my Series X, but I'm sitting here right now playing SMTV. A good game is a good game, regardless of hardware. Sure, someone could say the performance and graphics could be better on more powerful hardware, but you could say that about any game that isn't industry leading.

Nintendo should allow full overclock in docked mode near the end of its lifecycle, with a parental mode lock/disclaimer that it could shorten the console's life. In actuality, the Tegra chip is severely underclocked in the system and the full CPU and GPU overclock bring it up to NVIDIA Shield specs, with temperatures still well within its threshold. It makes a huge difference in game performance. Much more solid frame rates and higher average dynamic resolution. I haven't had any prob...

Mod one, and you have the entire PSP library at your disposal as well, along with fantastic PSX emulation.

Most people that hack their switch have to keep up with evolving versions of custom firmware, and definitely are familiar with manually updating their firmware. Hell, there are popular apps on the homebrew app store that do it all for you. I'm sure this is the publisher just not wanting to pay for high storage cartridges; they're expensive.

Blu-Ray discs in a battery powered handheld. Brilliant lol. What you're asking for is Nintendo to just make a regular, high powered home console. Not unreasonable to wish for, but that's not Nintendo's market anymore.

The reason Switch emulation is already where it's at, is because of the Tegra exploit with the first generation of Switch consoles. Hackers got basically the lowest level access to the hardware possible, and the Switch has been dissected and understood inside out.

No way. The animations and attention to detail in this game are top notch. I can guarantee Digital Foundry are going to have a field day with this one. This is classic game design at its damn near best. I think I'm almost at the end, and it's one of the best games I've played all year easily.

I've been playing it the last two days. The attention to detail in this game is insane.

If there wasn't a market for handheld gaming, the Switch wouldn't be on track to being one the best selling consoles of all time.

Portable laptop doesn't really have buttons and an interface that you can fit into your hand and play. Not really the same thing. Gaming laptops are also quite expensive, and obviously larger.

It should be able to, and it's a 60hz display. The best use for the Steam Deck will probably be for emulation, retro gaming, and media. It seems to be a quite capable device. I can see it being a hit in multiplayer gaming with friends. LAN party kinda stuff.
