Until Witcher 4 is announced and everyone explodes lmao. And then buys it day one.
Yeah, Witcher 3 was really bad at launch. Framerate problems, quests breaking, etc. People forgot about all the drama with the graphical downgrades of the game too. If I remember correctly, there was also a really bad save bug with the game, where you couldn't save, and saves would get corrupted. They stuck by it though, patched the hell out of it and gave alot of DLC for free, which was fantastic. CDPR is also really, really good at storytelling.
Everything is going to be AI upscaled in the very near future. Leaves much more resources for everything else, and no one will be able to tell the difference without a Digital Foundry like breakdown.
Runs well (bugs aside) on Series X as well, but basically this. Anyone without a new console or high end PC pretty much has a barely playable game at the moment. I'm sure it will be fixed, free DLC, etc, but we're talking months. Anyone playing this game for the first time a year from now is going to have a much better time than everyone on day one. And that sucks, because the game itself is amazing.
And worse than that in some areas like marshes.
It's not very well optimized at the moment, even on Series X. I've gotten crashes, frame drops, stuttering, loss of audio, game freezes.
Witcher 3 was REALLY rough at launch too though. They patched that game dozens of times. People also seem to forget all the shit they caught for the change in artstyle and graphical downgrades. In the end, they fixed it, W3 was amazing and they're held in high esteem because of it. Hopefully all will go the same with Cyberpunk, but considering how hyped the game is, people might not forget this time.
Yeah, even on Series X it really needs some performance patches. I've had some freezes, loss of audio, complete hitches for 10 or more seconds, stuttering, glitches, shaky and nausea inducing camera spazzes. The atmosphere and story are excellent though, and I imagine the game will perform much better in a few months after some major (MAJOR) patches.
This game is great so far, but it's kinda obvious that they were in over their heads as far as ambition. Probably could have used an extra 6 months or so to cook, but obviously couldn't afford to do so in any capacity. Expect many patches over the next few months.
Old games, like the one that came out yesterday?
I was just thinking the same. It's really starting to seem like they pushed the launch forward by alot to release alongside PS5, so they wouldn't have some marketshare. Haven't played my Series X in like two weeks. Although, Cyberpunk when I get home from work!
Put PS5 in title, receive clicks.
It doesn't even matter at this point if it's the best game on Xbox One, because next-gen is already here. It's unfortunate, but a graphics expectation has been set by consumers, who primarily use that to judge alot of games. The Series X patch will have to be absolutely transformative. Although, I have no doubt that the gameplay will be excellent. Halo 5 multiplayer is still really, really good. They just need to nail the story.
I don't think it should be launched one Xbox One at all. Having a next-gen exclusive game would actually give new attention to the Series consoles, and probably would have eliminated most of the backlash they've seen. Development has obviously been troubled. Now even with the extra work, and as much as I love Halo, we're still going to be getting a game that can run on the base Xbox One, which with the release of Series and PS5, is absolutely antiquated now. I have a Series X, and...
Yeah, I wouldn't wish a bad console on anyone. Competition is good for all. I'd really like to see crossplay open up between PS and Xbox, would do wonders to keep certain games thriving.
Because there's a 45 GB difference between what's on disk and after the day 1 patch. Basically a completely different version of the game. Doesn't make much difference to me, but kinda sucks for anyone with slow internet, or who doesn't like to connect their consoles. The game was shipped unfinished and they ran out of time. This is CDPR though, so I expect they'll be patching it constantly and giving free DLC over the next months, like they did with Witcher 3. Just looked...
They misspelled Chrono Trigger lol, or Trails in the Sky SC.
Seriously though, looking forward to playing Cyberpunk soon. I'd like to hold off until the next-gen update, but not sure if I'll be able to...
Bloodborne isn't even FromSoftware's best game lol. It's great, but Sekiro's (and probably even Dark Souls 1) got it beat!
I'm pretty sure some people down vote every comment they see, or use a bot to do so lol. Don't let it bother you; It doesn't matter.
What about Persona 5 Royal? That game is a damn masterpiece as well.
