Not that I think the price should be anywhere near $60, but I do believe that the QOL improvements create a better experience than what can be achieved via emulation, unless you're talking modded versions of the game.
Terranigma.
I've played a 4 translation on a modded wii. That game was scary as hell.
I know people usually get their hopes way too high for Nintendo news, but I do believe that this E3 is going to be huge for them. It's been quite awhile since any big announcements, and it would honestly be pretty disastrous if they don't drop some big hitters. A new Switch model seems likely using DLSS or similar, it's the Zelda anniversary, and Metroid, Bayonetta and No More Heroes 3 are all long overdue for gameplay reveals. Something Mario related is almost a given as well. Mo...
I don't understand how people are still salty about RE4. It's still one of the greatest games ever made, easily.
RE8 is probably the best game I've played this whole year so far. That and Monster Hunter. Capcom has been killing it.
I've beaten every main RE game, the remakes, the Revelations series and CVX. Village is a damn good game.
Retro is a really great studio though. They haven't out out a bad game yet.
The RE engine is great, what? Capcom has been killing it lately.
I still think the Switch Pro is going to be a dock that uses DLSS and has internal storage and a dedicated ethernet adapter.
Thost are both great series, but no one buys them. If they were big sellers, Nintendo would be pumping out Metroid and F-Zero titles like Mario. The ROI for what Metroid Prime 4 (which will definitely be a much more expensive development) will bring compared to Animal Crossing is probably laughable
The village in Monster Hunter Rise has wonderful art direction.
Please people, if you're going to emulate this, buy a copy to support the series, or buy it on PC when it comes out. I'm all for emulation for preservation, improving older games, etc, but this game has been out for all of a day.
Monster Hunter 3U, 4U, and Generations Ultimate were all fantastic MH games. As great as MHW was, older titles in the series all had far more content. I'm playing Rise right now; It's excellent so far. Before World, MH was a portable series for more titles than it wasn't.
If BotW was a PS4 exclusive it would have launched a new religion on this website.
Hard to compare a game that hasn't launched yet with one that's had a few years of steady support and a full expansion. I say we compare them after Rise has its expansion and PC release.
World was an amazing game, and I have no doubt Rise will be too. Monster Hunter rules.
Was testing this update earlier on Series X, it is CLEAN. Everything loads much quicker, it's snappier, higher frame-rate in all menus. Could be me, but it seems like input latency is reduced as well. Looks great.
If they need money for the series, should just make an HD/Director's Cut version of Symphonia and release on all platforms. I really hope Arise is as good as that and Vesperia.
Those games are still available to play though, and the library is still growing. I wouldn't recommend it as the only console to own, but any person who loves gaming is missing out on great games without a Switch.
I love my Vita, and it's an amazing handheld when hacked. Probably the best use for it honestly lol. Unfortunately, Sony's first party offerings, while mostly great IP, do not make for great handheld experiences. That's Nintendo's bread and butter.
