I'm not sure if Nintendo ever likes to release hardware specs for anything...
The most important thing, is that I'll be able to play Zelda on it xD
That's all that really matters in life.
Not saying this is the case, but what if the servers are suffering from attacks, and that's why people can't connect? Your analogy in that case would be more similar to say, you having a washing machine, and then someone sneaks in and breaks it a little or shuts it off every time you go to use it. Not your fault or the manufacturer's.
There's not really much anyone can do if some punks decide to DDoS any particular server for a given game.
Not if you can connect an external HDD to the dock, and load games to and from it. Also, I'm assuming SD storage for the handheld itself.
You can hardly get a decent phone for $100. As far as mobile technology goes, this chip is supposedly very modern.
Six children? God bless your soul. And your wallet.
I really like the console; It's honestly exactly what I was hoping for. A hybrid console with a very powerful mobile processor. I like handheld gaming along with my consoles. I think it will be successful. The 3DS was a great success after an initial price drop, with a large library. If Nintendo focuses on one platform, and if it sells (which is most certainly will after Pokemon/Monster Hunter/Yokai Watch/Mario/Zelda are released) there's not going to be a shortage of games to play on...
That's kinda like saying the 3DS being a handheld is a gimmick. This is more of a portable console with the option to dock to a TV than the other way around. Great for people that like handhelds and portables, not so great for people who like home console gaming. Honestly though, who doesn't already have a PS4 or Xbox One? I own an Xbox, and have a PC, and the Switch is still a very desirable product to me.
Once a new Pokemon releases for the Switch, built specifically for the hardware, people are going to forget all about this. Lack of 3rd party support is always a bummer, but having all of Nintendo's IP not split across two platforms is still going to print them money, especially in Japan. I feel like Nintendo wants to focus on their homeland first, and the US is an afterthought.
They described the video as a teaser. Nintendo will have a Direct and go much further into details and launch titles soon.
Mario Galaxy 3 please?
Remember the good old days? xD
The PS2 was also the first DVD player that many owners had.
Man, I don't even want a 4k TV or monitor. In fact, I don't even own a TV. 1080 is good enough for me at the moment. Not a purchase I could justify making until it's cheap enough for me not to care. I got bills son xD
That's going to be every console generation. Graphical fidelity sells over higher frame rates. People want shinies.
You had great points until you started talking about haters. Do you want downvotes? Because that's how you get downvotes.
To add to some of the below comments, Microsoft also advertises on the Xbox home, store and media screens, so gamers playing more is a good thing for them, as they can expose their consumer base to more advertisements.
Legend of the Mystical Ninja <3
Probably Beyond Good & Evil 2, but would it be foolish to secretly hope for Child of Light 2?
