The N64 wasn't really wildly successful. It's held in high regard, yes, but people will argue that it was the beginning of their fall in the market. It sold much less than any console they'd released prior (excluding the ill fated and conceived Virtual Boy of course), and the cartridges' limitations and high cost drove away many 3rd parties, including Square, which have really yet to return. Remember that until the N64 there were 6 Final Fantasy games that had never been relea...
The great thing about Smash Bros is it's simultaneously both a fun party game and a very deep competitive fighter if you're playing without items/seriously.
I have yet to miss a Nintendo console. Sure, sometimes I lament the lack of games on Wii U, but I by no means regret purchasing it. I've had loads of fun with every game I've bought.
Are you sure? They may have missed some steps, and you know, fell down the stairs completely, but most people that work in the industry tend to hold Nintendo made games in the highest regard. Nintendo IP makes bank, and they have some of the best designers and programmers in the industry. As long as they can make something which appeals to customers, and continue to create and hold themselves to high standards in software, I think they'll be okay.
I'd say most gamers in general could be considered casual. What percentage of every console owner do you think checks gaming websites and follows the industry every day, or plays a wide variety of games from many different countries? Your standard "casual" gamer buys Madden, CoD, Battlefield, Fifa, UFC, Grand Theft Auto and probably some racing games like Need for Speed, Forza or GT. Not that that means those are by any means bad games, just very mainstream. Ask eight out of ten...
Their games are all about storytelling, which they do a phenomenal job. It's definitely not for everyone, but I thought TWD and Wolf Among Us were fantastic experiences. I'd consider them more of an interactive comic than an actual video game however.
No Zelda?
The Pokemon games are definitely better, but if we're going by the original animes, in Japanese anyways, Digimon is better by a landslide.
I've been holding off on the game, but would buy it immediately if this feature is enabled. Most of my friends own a PS4, and it would be pretty awesome to be able to play with them on a different platform.
Because this is all about you, right?
There's a few reasons we haven't seen a new Metroid game in awhile. Most of the leaders that worked on the Prime series (head director, lead art designer and head programmer) have left Retro. Also, the Metroid series, although universally acclaimed, isn't really a fantastic selling series. Unless it's side-scrolling, the costs may not justify the resources necessary to create what fans are expecting of the series. I'd imagine Nintendo has assembled a small team to start wo...
I agree with your Bethesda comments; I still don't think that they've managed to top Morrowind yet. Oh, how I'd love an official remaster of that game.
I loved it man. I do however much prefer Xenoblade Chonicles. I'd go so far as to say that's one of the best RPGs of the last decade. This is all purely opinion though, as I also consider that one of my favorite games of all time.
Monolith Soft says hello?
Most negative ads like this, unless intelligently arguing a point or situation, are invoking controversy solely for ad revenue. It must obviously work, seeing as how often it's used.
If you use the internet without a damn good VPN, or carry a smartphone, you already have lost a good amount of privacy. Did you know that surveillance equipment and facial recognition software is at the point now where if a person is spotted multiple times with someone with a particular criminal record, it can be automatically logged as an event, and label a person as a potential accomplice?
I would consider this article clickbait. Calling the game chauvinistic because there's no female Link is not a valid reason to say that the demo wasn't of quality. Cites dated mechanics that have been used in the genre for years now, but I can't name too many games where you can chop down a tree and use it as a raft freely either.
So you want From Software to make a Pokemon MMO on PS4 and Xbox? Let me know when you find that universe lol
I hear you man. These days a game has to be truly special for me to want to finish it. I work fifty hours a week, and there's too much for me to play for me to want to sink so much time into one experience. I'll play five different games a night in small blocks.
People will disagree with your statement, but I think that a good console would definitely try to have something for everyone. Not every person who enjoys playing video games wants to play every day, nor does everyone want to subject themselves to games like Dark Souls and Halo. Some just want to relax and have fun once a week, and there's nothing wrong with that.
