Neither console has any issue staying cool. Loud fans does not mean the console is even close to overheating. The PS4 just spins the fan fast to overcompensate. It's definitely a lame design choice they should have covered. Testing shows the PS4(at launch) stayed 1 degree cooler than the XBox One. Bungie confirmed a 5-year Destiny 2 commitment. While I think Bungie would be down to work with Sony on another project, I don't think it will happen. My guess would be Bungie working alongside Sony to help guide a new online game for the platform, but not developing any titles for them.

I actually like the XSX design despite taking up a rather large face on your entertainment center. I care more about how compact the internals are. I converted my desktop to a Small Form Factor 11L case a year ago despite some high end parts and liquid cooling. Obviously, not the same situation, but I hope every inch of that case is taken advantage of.
No. All media centers are built around having depth to allow a full sized TV and various devices of a standard design footprint. Overall footprint isn't comparable. Because, there is always plenty of depth with media centers. The size of the face is a much more important factor. That's just common sense. I personally don't have an issue with it.
