And, MS reports sales to everyone. Sony and Nintendo normally reports sales in consumers hands.
Probably to move more chips out of the door as possible.

If true, they have struggled even more than the guestimations give it. They need to use any chips they can
https://www.neogaf.com/thre...
Potentially less. Way less. If right, they couldn't be at even 40mill yet. Not to mention guestimations are still based off prior data and patterns of console sales to everyone, whereas Nintendo and Sony are typically sales in consumer hands for more accurate consumer demand.
Please, don't ever bring up Microsoft's wallet again. We've already seen their repeated failures. It's not a real factor to count on. Worry about your own money and what's worth spending on
Let's not act on rumors. MS has been "leaking" so often for free publicity it's ridiculous. But, next gen the power gap will be smaller because of the similar launch windows and necessity for a consumer price. They will likely still have the more blo...
I'd also be interested to know why they didn't. But, it's likely the developers decision and they allowed it
@shikoku
My bad. I was over thinking something about fan size
"Not mention that 800rpms air is cooler to begin with because it's moving slower!!"
So, what do these components need to cool off? Air. So, you're saying slower air is cooler? Okay, why would we need slower air for a computer? The point of cooling is removing heat. We need a medium to remove that heat. So, "moving slower" for keeping the air itsel...
Agreed. I had to de-hype my friends who were working towards her once I played her
@shikoku
There are factors at hand that realistically show otherwise, for fans of this size, smaller normally has more cfm and static pressure. Static pressure is important here for these enclosed boxes. Especially for the PS4 because of the way it takes advantage of air flow throughout the box to get to the fan. But, I don't think it was necessary to have it designed that way.
- The 1X does NOT use liquid cooling. It uses a vapor chamber, which is OLD. All copper pipes for cooling use this same method and are in every heatsink. A vapor chamber simply goes a little bit further(again, it's not new at all).
If newer things were necessarily hotter, then modern electronics would be nuking us right now. This is newer hardware on 7nm fabrications. More performance per watt. The thing is that neither console has had any issues with heat. The PS4 is ...
@uth11
Dude. So you don't understand hardware level API? I thought you were a 20+ year coder?
It sure is weird how an emulator that could have been made in some dudes garage can magically alter game engines to change resolution, texture filtering, anti-aliasing, and anistropic filtering for virtually any game with little issue for 95% of titles. But, you're trying to tell everyone that Sony can't do this on an all around much stronger hardware...
@chiefJohn117
Hope you know Chief and Master Chief are vastly different levels
@WombBat
Okay. Take this for example. The whole industry takes 30%. Even retail takes a cut on top of console manufacturers getting 30% for releasing on their console. You are a free service that gives users and developers tons of tools and capabilities that no one else does. These developers also bypass fees that retailers would have taken by using Steam. Steam is great for developers and consumers.
Now, imagine a company releases a featureless security...
@uth11
You don't understand how it works. Resolution, anisotropic filtering, and anti-aliasing require no change in game assets. It can be forced by the system if they want to. This is native backwards compatibility. You are inexperienced with hardware and PC gaming not to understand that a performance bump like this could easily give a native graphics bump if they wanted to. Running the game on an all round superior machine with the same architecture and highly similar...
@DrumBeat
No. You're not getting it. MS only finally got a good hardware design and the only edge in performance they get is from later releases, with a year gap and $100. Nothing guarantees they will go for higher performance. They can't afford a higher price tag or delayed launch waiting on new hardware releases to compete. Simple as that. Don't give them so much credit. They aren't comfortable. AMD works far more closely with Sony and Sony both understand...
You clearly don't know what a monopoly is. Steam made no efforts to control the market and prevent competition. It's just a great service without any catch. Customers gave it all the success it deserves.
Epic has a boring, featureless, and compromising client which has had many security breaches and continues to fail customers. The client is not right for customers. If developers want more money then they should just release the game standalone like back in the day...
Not exactly. Anti-aliasing, anisotropic filtering, higher resolution, etcetera should be no problem as a universal increase for PS4 titles. The Pro had risk of poor performance because it's not drastically more powerful to get higher settings without drawbacks. The PS5 should be able to tear right through the PS4 games so it could apply the changes universally unless devs patch it themselves
Dude. They only "beat" Sony in power because they released the X1X a year after the PS4 Pro launch. The Pro launched at $400 and the X1X launched at $500. A year and a $100 higher price tag obviously means more powerful hardware. It's not rocket science or insane engineering to source parts through credible manufacturers. That's just how consumer electronics are. The newest hardware only gets better. Microsoft absolutely in no way has better hardware engineers than everyone ...
Depends on di shrink reduction for the chipand if it's a newer chip with more performance per watt. If they choose an oled screen they would save battery life for equal size while having a better picture
Strange how CoD devs do the same exact thing with slight alterations that aren't hard to code. But, FromSoftware fully exploring the ins and outs of their gaming style with more variation and innovation apparently brings this issue up
@SrHalo
Lol. Obviously. I don't think the disagrees realize this is how they report sales, if they do.
