There is NOTHING that supports a higher analog being better. Not one thing. It's just a bandwagon. However, just holding anything else with a grip my thumb aligns more alike a Sony controller than any other. Not that other controllers are uncomfortable, but my thumb position definitely feels more natural being open and "winged" open to reach the analog rather than altering my hands position upward and thumb more closed to reach the upward analog of other controllers. Just compar...
I think they should allow a secondary drive be installed rather than replacing the original and hopefully it's a m.2. Possibly in a cartridge type of casing that is pre-installed into the console that would double as the heat sink as well as a more consumer friendly way to install the drive externally into the casing and then be inserted into a slot.
4K Blu-ray hasn't taken off though so I'm curious if the PS6 will even bother with Blu-ray anymore at this point...
@Imalwaysright
It's not difficult at all to agree on certain standards going forward despite reviewing different genres. It's commonplace with almost every other reviewer that innovation and production quality are paid attention to.
Nah. Chances are that you're tired of the same old game and would rather just go back to the nostalgic originals that didn't put so much annoying fluff in.
@BlackDoomAx
You're not here to talk to anyone about it. You aren't here for conversation. You're spam.
"We have free speech". Same old excuse for being annoying. Yes, we know free speech exists. Common sense and being a reasonable person exist too.
"If you take it personally". Lol. No. As boring as you could be to pretend you have power over someones feelings on a hobby site. I simply seek responding to ...
Why are you here? Would you walk into a place you don't care for just to express negativity? So boring.
@Septic
"How I've always described MS this gen; absolute failures who have then struggled but strived to fix their errors. Irrespective of people hating and really unwilling to admit the blindingly obvious"
How much do you really need to pamper Microsoft? You can't talk poorly of them without following it up with compliments afterward. Is it that hard to call them out without fluffing positivity at them immediately after? We've seen ...
Watch his importance on the stealth action genre. He created it. MGS1 pushed boundaries in gaming.
Unfortunately, storywise he never expected to make a sequel each time he made a new MGS. He never wrote them to be open to a sequel. That's why it was so convoluted for Liquid Ocelot.
You know most of the main Bridges characters have nicknames in Death Stranding, right? Deadman, Heartman, Die Hardman. You see the pattern there? Nicknames based on their h...
Do you even know the definition of "genius"? Someone with exceptional intellect OR creativity. Don't even try to tell me that the maker of the stealth action genre, breaking boundaries in video game cinematography, the little things like the infamous swap memory card and controller slot psycho mantus trick, the PT demo taking such a simple concept so far, and his troll moments that both are for humor for fans and to provide intrigue in the media. Gaming journalists all round cal...
@timotim
"That's what its about! Gears 5 has more engagement than Gear 4"
... You're even regurgitating their PR terms? Engagement. Really?
Anyways. Saying it sold better is different in many contexts. Did it sell better day 1? What about week 1? Lifetime? Pre-order amount? What particularly did it sell better in? Microsoft is KNOWN for spinning things that were doing well. Zune is great example of that. They said it was success...
-These games are also playable on the next console, so they can get customers right now that will still buy the next box.
-They also have to rely on this next year to sell their next console, and because of how desolate X1 has been this whole gen they are trying to make it look better for the next purchase next year.
-I still don't see Gamepass staying along the same course. It will never produce more money to release $60 AAA games near guaranteed to sell millions. What ...
It really does. The artistic approach frees up a lot of room for really filling the world with foliage, life, and grand scale.
@Eldyraen
The topic at hand is her specifically trying to adjust the perception of someone on her preferred platform when they weren't even mentioned here. Greenburg is known for lying and exaggerating.
I didn't say they didn't have the games playable. I pointed out that it's not simply just announcements and trailers anymore.
@TheRealTedCruz
They left years after the acquisition.
Several users here, you included, are peddling the same story. Whether intentional or not, you're taking other peoples words for it or others take your word for it and are rehashing the same uneducated story to push a narrative. It's what is happening whether intentional or not.
Okay, what leads left the studio during the acquisition? You surely have examples for this. You...
So, you can't answer the questions and deflect.
You're sure obsessed with trying to improve their image. The bigger issue is having playable games and not CGI trailers and announcements anymore.
Stop peddling this collaborative effort between users here on N4G. Rare's creative leads were still on board for 8 years after the deal and then almost all of them left. If they still had their creative leads then you're trying to tell me that the floor level dev team is responsible for the overall vision of the game, the screenwriting, and direction. That's not the case. It's not like they don't have input, but it's due to their creative leads that they succeeded. Yes...
Really?? So being different is only for the "sake of it" instead of trying to explore new avenues and provide creativity to the stale format? This is the same ridiculous view that the IGN reviewer had(who reviews yearly sports franchises and not story-based adventure games). You could tell he only played the popular options for open-world games like Fallout, Skyrim, and GTA.
The budget had no limit. There was no compromise for the gameplay. This is what the game i...
@Fragnum
He has poor grammar but he still points out their hypocrisy. They even apologized for it because he was right.
How is his response biased? Digital Foundry called him biased and when he responded he pointed out how they jumped the gun calling him biased for PS4 all because he said they were so specific with.God of War. He didn't ever say to be harsher on Gears or to be easier on God of War. He said they should do an analysis for Gears, which a...
@DaDrunkenJester
You never played a spelunking game, have you? Or, anything where you're not holding the left analog stick forward constantly apart from the popular exceptions.
Versatility. PowerPC architecture which are beast for number crunching. Obviously, this versatility requires tons of effort on the developers part. Some of the lighting in KillZone 2 was rendered by the CPU rather than the GPU. The game had a ridiculous amount of light sources and effects on screen especially for its time. This is why they had a ray-tracing demo with the Cell. A CPU that is efficient enough to be used to do work normally done by the GPU if need be. And, simply being very powe...
