@darth
They did not lose access to that tech. All contracts prior to new ownership must be fulfilled by the new party. They were simply misleading the capability of the servers during demonstration. If you have a server rack in the same room, which they did, and you have more servers than realistically able to be spent on this game, which they did set aside for the demo, then of course the demonstration would be far higher fidelity and latency free.
Stop the troll damage controlling. It's not your job to do this just because you have a favorite console doing rough. There is a reason Sony hasn't given release dates for everything yet. They kept realistic expectations. If something is a launch title then we know it's a realistic goal right now. Sony rarely has delays. They had a delay from COVID restricting imports, which threw one game in line to the launch week of another, so they delayed that one because of that.
...
I'll go with what's happening today. Not what if deflections for tomorrow. Today Spider-Man isn't delayed.
Okay...
But, right now, the game was supposed to be out for the SX launch. Not somewhere mid generation like other Halo games. Don't deflect the importance of this as a launch title.
Netflix hasn't made profit. It's in the endless bout of not being able to retain subscribers without putting in the money, and putting in the money keeps them and brings in new subs, and then they don't make as much money back, rinse and repeat. This is why they've shifted as much to Netflix originals as they can muster to keep them on there forever and even produce their own.
Movies and TV shows can't put in microtransactions, DLC, loot boxes, etcetera ...
Just playing Halo CE the other day. The AI in Halo 1 were actually reacting and moving around when getting shot. In Infinite they just stood perfectly and dull. The graphics are on a next-gen console and they look like last-gen. Not even current-gen. That's the issue, not the art style. Everything looks washed out and the view distance is greatly hindered by a thick fog, the poly count on weapons and severak objects in the environment, and the hexagon pillars on the mountains, scream that...
The One X, granted it's a mid-gen refresh. It was a slow start without substance to show its worth near launch.
4 employees, two left shortly after. None were critical or leadership roles aside from the Customer Relations person. The other is a regular developer with no senior role.
Phil Spencer is the system seller.
The only game to be played is the waiting game.
/s... but, not really /s
"How many times this gen has a big game been delivered below par and only really reached its potential after a year or two of patches and dlc.
This is why as a primary Xbox gamer.."
Therein lies the problem. This is why dedicated fanbases on these websites and reddit pages are not having it with MS. Rarely releasing games, and releasing them unfinished. The same ridicule No Mans Sky had gotten so fiercely, but not pointed out as often as XBox ga...
From where? Where did you hear this info? Why does everyone lie and pump fake ideas up to be so hyped just to inevitably be disappointed?
The One X is already not gonna have true 4K gaming in every game. It's going to have lower resolutions with upscale and reconstruction techniques as is. A 1080p box? Well, it's going to be fighting hard just to get next gen games at 1080p.
If it's roughly the equivalent to an XBox One X. Then why upgrade at ...
Ohh, yea. Because, conveniently MS released arcade racer Forza Horizon and FPS Halo 5, this is something important for PlayStation to have.
When was the last time MS released a 3D platformer, action RPG, horror game, story driven choice game, action adventure, or even a really good game?
You think lumping camera perspective together fools anyone into disliking what they see? It's a camera perspective. Not genre. You'd only fool fake gamers who a...
@zeuanimals
It's not black and white. They did have phenomenal 3rd party exclusives that didn't release elsewhere due to format and development differences. But, Sony did in fact always have incredible first party games. It's no different today. They still make amazing first party games and third parties still release amazing games, only they are now nearly all multiplatform.
@cigi
Act like an adult. Even if someones being fanboyish. Don't get so angry and throw harsh insults.
Stevej336.
It's a game policy. For the act of playing games. Not something as simple as clicking play on a video you've selected.
What is there not to understand? Stteaming a game is different from streaming video. It's a different use of streaming. It's not like Netflix, Youtube, or HBO Max just because streaming is involved. That's like saying a truck is like a car because driving is involved.
Dang.. That was 2 Furious of you
The person you replied to literally said they don't allow it because they are competitors and need a cut. Comprehend and assess what is being said, and don't be so rude and toxic.
They weren't comparing the type of services. They were comparing the way a service allows access to its content on another platform.
Mods, check his comment history and get the hammer ready.
It's a certification sample. Not the consumer piece.
I always hate how as soon as numbers can technically be labelled like this someone will make it sound bigger than what it is. Like if I go to a party and only see 3 people, it's not really a party.
@Imalwaysright
You are indeed correct. I retract my statement of Sony rarely having delays.
