Wow. If this means I'll get to re-live Silent Bomber, Tomba! 2, Brave Fencer Musashi, and Bust-A-Groove, you are looking at the happiest person ever.
This game is absolutely amazing; such a blast to play. And I'm surprised by how well the dialogue is presented. It doesn't feel like you're reading a translation or anything. I've only played 2 hours thus far, so I'm barely cracking the surface of the game, but I definitely believe I'm in for a treat. This may give Shadow of the Colossus a run for its money (a hard task, I assure you).
Art. Great. Music. Great. Characters. Great. I even like the freakin' camera. The only...
You do not have to buy videos from iTunes to put them on your video iPod. I have tons of anime, movies, and music videos that I'd already had that I just put on there.
I do believe that repetitive gameplay can kill a game. See State of Emergency for a good example of this. It's because of experiences lack that that I felt Dead Rising probably wouldn't be any fun (no, I haven't played it, but have friends who love it).
I think this game will remain fun though, as long as they change things up and have a decent amount of story and platforming. The fighting engine sounds promising, what with "feeling" the difference in stances; the c...
That list is by no means a comparison to be overlooked. It's because games are still coming out that Sony can claim their 10 year life cycle for systems. I really do appreciate not having game development stop after 4 and a half years. This week alone, I'm picking up Okami. Next month, I'm getting God Hand. November, I'm getting Guitar Hero 2. Jan/Feb, God of War 2.
I realize that 360 owners are happy with the fact that they've moved on, but I still think it sucks to just sud...
It supposedly runs quieter or as quiet as the psTWO.
That pretty much sums it up there. Despite having high-speed and everything, being able to play online isn't a huge selling point for me, mostly because I don't enjoy online play; the feel of it. Online is either racing, fps, or rpg. I can't stand RPGs, the only racing I really play is Burnout, and I can't stand the feel of just running around trying to rack up a body count in traditional deathmatches. Project Offset looked like it was going to be the game to change that for me, but now I...
I agree whole-heartedly. I got to meet them at Otakon this year; it was great.
The case looks like it is going to be in line with the blu-ray cases which are already out, which you may have noticed are squatter than the DVD-style PS2 cases that we're used to. Because of these dimensions, and for artistic reasons, I assume, they've moved the logo back to the spine on the left. I wouldn't really consider the orientation of the logo to be a measure of innovation though.
2 HDTVs, one 1080p. I'm not claiming it's the norm, but to imply that NO ONE has one is absurd. And even if only a small percentage have them, it's a plus for them, no? If they reach 1080p or not, it's not likekly to affect the performance or cost to those people who don't have such a tv.
This is one game that'd better not have any tilt-control. That's just an accident waiting to happen.
Devil May Cry is an action/adventure game. Think Ninja Gaiden or God of War (same genre, not necessarily same style). I still attribute DMC:3 with God of War's poor sales -_-.
Anyways, the reason people get so excited over it is be because the game is fun. That's . . . it, really. The first game came out and presented Dante, who was the first character I can recall thinking was really "cool." The game's always had great graphics for it's time, decent voice acting, an...
As far as life cycle goes, I don't think they mean "years till next system." I think it's more "years until we stop supporting it." Just like PS1 still had games coming out after ps2 launched, and ps2 still has a bunch of good games coming out as ps3 arrives. In May, it'll be 7 years for ps2, so another three years of putting out games (albeit, silly kid-oriented games toward the end) will conclude a 10 year cycle for the ps2. The same will likely be done for PS3.
Ahh, I see. Thanks.
Nice picture, although I've never been too big a fan of mech games. I thought Armored Core 4 was PS3 only though?
360 has a very strong opportunity to catch up or take the lead from Sony. I don't think too many people will doubt that. Admitting the chance exists, and admitting it will happen are two different things though, though I could care less either way.
People keep complaining about lies Sony's telling, or performance downgrades, etc. The PS3 is just a box. That's it. It's a box that costs $100 to $200 more than its nearest competitor. So people need to ask themselves, "why are...
They should have stuck with "Play Beyond." I liked the posters and advertisements they used for it. Maybe we'll still get that in the US.
Dangit, not that interface again :(. It's so . . . ugh. But I suppose it's the best they can do with a controller as the, well, controller. I do hope that it's capable of more than just one fast-forward/rewind speed this time around.
No, I won't. It looks plenty fun, but I still don't plan on getting it. I have no qualms about not playing every single good game that crosses the platform. I miss Motorstorm, I play Burnout; I doubt I'll feel any loss or regret for not picking it up.
Besides; I'm already picking up Okami, God Hand, and Guitar Hero II. There's just not enough time in the day for me to add 3 MORE games to the mix. I may pick it up down the line from the Greatest Hits Collection. But it's b...
I definitely think the game looks great, and would gladly just sit and watch it out of fun (love nature documentaries). But I too have trouble figuring out how it's going to translate to gameplay. I mean, there's no WAY it's a hunting game, so what do you do, just drive around? Could be fun, but not worth a full game price. Would be a cool screensaver-esque type of application. For your . . . tv . . .
