Did someone mention Rival Schools? Bat-Swiiiiiing! Shoma ruled; when the bat connects, that's literally the sickest sound effect I've come across yet in gaming.

I'm definitely looking forward to a new Gradius; bring on number 6! Or a next gen Jackal :)

I hope they announce something about the next Gradius game. Love that series.

Is there any way for us to help with the database of games in existence for the "I OWN" category under games? There are a large number missing.

I'm happy to see both systems can stream music from their hard drives. They mentioned in PSM that only the Xbox version could stream directly from an iPod, but didn't mention anything about hard drive for either system.

I already know my fight song of choice: Crystal Method's "Name of the Game." And "Go Go Gadget-Gospel" would be interesting to see how it affects the stages . . .

PSM is now the only Playstation Magazine left. They've always been pretty open-minded guys though; I mean, of course they love Playstation, but every single one of them owns and loves their 360, and they've never been afraid to point out the flaws and faults with the PS.

And if no one bought a system based on its potential, it would just die.

I feel like I've been waiting for this forever. It's gone from December to January to "hopefully soon." I'm definitely looking forward to playing this. I've had the pc version for a while, and my only gripe with it is that you can't save (it is a flash game, after all). I can't recommend the game enough though; it's an incredibly simple concept, but exudes a lot of emotion and depth. I was completely surprised to find I felt fear when getting attacked, or daring when picking a ...

This article is from last month's issue of PSM. And at the end of said article, they officially call a draw between the two consoles.

I don't think anyone truly believes that PS3's present library is better than 360's. But 15 months is a lot bigger than 3, and PSM claims that Sony has the advantage with its upcoming exclusives. I'm all for being a fan of the system you bought; it's your right. But to label others' as wrong based on your own opinion just seems silly. These ...

Not a problem; easy mistake to make.

the system just recently got upgraded to 1.5. I'd be surprised if they'd some leaped past 2.0 to 3.1. I'm wondering if the original writer meant PSP firmware instead. There's also no update when accessing the System Update from the PS3 menu.

It technically was in the first batch . . . just for Japan :(

Happy to hear new content's finally coming. Jet Moto used to be a blast, but I doubt I'd really want to play it again. I'm waiting for Silent Bomber, Bust A Groove, Brave Fencer Musashi, Erhgeiz, maybe even Rival Schools

Well, I've played through VF4 and SC3, so I'm quite ready for VF5 and SC4 to come along. I think Virtua Fighter is the most in depth, technical fighting series, and Soul Calibour just behind it. The latter's definitely much more of a "pick up and play" title though. And I have to give props to Rider, I haven't thought about Samurai Showdown in YEARS but I used to play the heck out of that game as a kid; that and Eternal Champions. Never really got into the Street Fighter series ...

I don't know. I'm hoping it's because they're trying to work on their own technology. If not, then it's silly pride on their part. Or maybe the technology just isn't that good, who knows?

I seriously used to think I was really good at this game. Darn you kid -_-

I have to agree. After I got God Hand and Okami, I knew there was only one game left before my PS2 buying days were behind me, and this is it. I just watched the 3-part demo run-through and was blown away by how beautiful the game looks, and how much of a blast it's going to be to play. To think, that huge opponent and the complexity and length of the encounter are just the BEGINNING of the game. I'm already craving God of War 3 ;)

I'm liking that I keep hearing mention of other "hero" games besides the Guitar one. I'm praying that a Drum Hero be the next incarnation of the series; the peripheral wouldn't have to be that large or take up too much space, and it's really the only other instrument I can think of that is definitely in almost any song and fun to play. Maybe they'll do a keyboard/synthesizer one?

I've had just the demo since November 17th, and I still play it regularly. It's a fun game, which is plenty of reason to get excited. As people have often said; no one pays $600 to play one game.

After the let-down that was NBA Street 3, I'm looking forward to this title big time. I like the way they've increased the interaction and customization of the controller, rather than just mashing combinations of shoulder buttons. I'm a little at odds with the present Gamebreaker system; I still like Street 2's the best thus far, not minding canned animations being used.

It's nice to see them including and recognizign WNBA players too. Ticha Penicheiro will be on my roster ...
