I'm happy to see Blu-Rays coming packaged with the standard DVD versions of movies; that was a big selling point for HD-DVD. And going the extra mile to show you how to rip it to your PC and stuff is even cooler; it's a feature not many people know how to use. When the terabyte drives drop in cost a bit, I'm buying two and ripping my dvds to it.
Ditto. Love the series, and the games always hold some of the greatest longevity for me; never gets old.
What kind of sadist would design a game like that for a machine that takes quarters? That's just WRONG. And I thought Gradius was bad...
I've never met a marketing person, but I am an avid reader of Dilbert, which I feel offers remarkable insight into how much they should be despised.

When it comes to first-party exclusives (which I'd imagine should be the biggest factor in picking a console), I feel that sony can't be beat. Over half of the games I'm looking forward to are from Sony themselves, and they have a broad spectrum when it comes to what kinds of games they release. But I will admit 360 has had some highly touted 3rd party exclusives its...
That's my biggest factor. It's not that Live is expensive, it's just that I don't see WHY I should have to pay someone money, not even the developer of the game, but MS themselves, to play a game online with friends. Like you said, I've bought the game, paid for a console, and paid for a high-speed internet connection. Half of the replay value of the game shouldn't be locked off to me because I don't subscribe to some service. I just on a philosophical point don't believe in Live. I can ...
I have a mic, but don't use it in COD4 because for the most part, I've yet to be in a tactical match where it was useful. As of late, the biggest use for it was turning it on and tossing it somewhere so that I don't have to hear teammates talking/cursing/singing like idiots while I play. In warhawk, I always use my headset though, because there's always information to be conveyed. Not saying there aren't the same kind of people on there, but the teams are bigger, they can be muted, and the...
nothing "BUT" horrible
Well said, I feel nothing horrible for this guy for having gone through all the avenues he thought possible and having this happen. I may not be a 360 owner, but even I jumped at getting the Rooster Teeth crew's siggies on CDs and a shirt when I was at Otakon, and treasure those items; I couldn't imagine having that awesome artwork, and on my console no less. I have no doubt that it was a hard decision for him to send it in, and can't imagine the dread as he sent it in, and the disappointme...
every time I get an invite from demon, I can never join >_<
Y'all are always crowded!
I hope Bust a Groove and Vib Ribbon make it Stateside. I still have my original copy of Omega Boost, but would love to see them bring out Silent Bomber, Brave Fencer Musashi, Tomba! 2, Rival Schools, and Ape Escape for old-time's sake. I remember when I got my first analog PS1 controller, because Ape Escape required it... so new then. And CTR with online play wouldn't be a bad idea either.
Yeah, the idea of a mobile spawn point sounds kind of cool. One of those plus a dropship; that's what, 13 troops? Dropship carrying a jeep; you could relocate your entire team in two movements. Or lose them all, I guess. I was wondering how they'd address the new weapons, and double tapping seems like a logical fix. Two mine types, two melee types, and this opens up all kinds of room for the other weapon varieties.
your best bet is to just practice against the Comp a lot. start on easy and work you way up. The main tips I can give are to not just throw out your big guns for the heck of it; it's a race to five, not to killing off your opponent. There are a bunch of hidden attributes to creatures that aren't listed on the cards; you just have to learn and memorize those.
Am I crazy, or did they just state that not only will we have to buy the new cards (a given, of course), but we'll have to pay to download the update so that we can USE the cards? I love playing Eye of Judgement; so much fun, and am looking forward to expanding on my deck, but that's the most rediculous thing I've ever heard.
I care about story, but rarely get into them when it comes to FPSes, and don't have the patience for RPGs. Still though, plenty of good story arcs to be found in action/adventure/platformers.
I agree with you; it's more of a "will it maintain an cohesive, fun experience?" Hopefully, the squad based gameplay and objectives will ensure that; I mean, I still have a blast in Warhawk, so it's not like crowding's an issue, if you make the maps big enough.
You last statement reminds me; I haven't watched Jurassic Park in a long time.
I never mentioned buying a box just for that service. I just think that it's a pretty awesome perk to have. And I, for one, have wanted for nearly a year now to be able to watch these movies through a tv, as have many others I'm sure. I'd never say that it was going to move consoles, but then again, whether it does or doesn't isn't really important to me. That it's a cool feature is, and it's one that I'd love to see in my PS3. Maybe I'm the only one actually interested in it, who knows....
At the end, that actual quote from Netflix leads one to believe they'd like the service on any box they can, which I hope is true. I already use Watch It Now through my PC pretty often, and would love to have it running through my tv via my PS3 instead. That coupled with my ability to rent/buy movies in HD through my tivo = a pretty satisfying entertainment center there. If they do for some reason go 360 exclusive, that's a big thing in my eyes, because nearly everyone I know uses netflix....
Agreed; for the most part I don't mind the store as I don't sell my games, and like the idea of just popping in and depositing a little here and there to just pick up the game at no cost when it launches. But my God, some of the employees their take there position as a CSA to be some sort of credential for gaming guru, when half of what they say is wrong. Not all of them mind you, but the bad seeds just seem to stand out so much because they're so much more vocal. Smug, condescending, elit...
Not trying to get caught up in the LIVE/PSN thing, but as for the R* games, there's LA Noire, which I believe has been confirmed PS3 exclusive. If not, then there's this: http://blog.us.playstation....
From SCEA's third party guy himself, and he's supposedly not allowed, contractually, to say what the game is.
