The 360 doesn't need/have to answer to heavy rain. Why would they want to make a snoozefest to combat another snoozefest?
Congrats! You are no longer getting my money. It quickly went from day 1 purchase to a renter. Worse news of the day.
It'll sell just fine but it's an epic fail IMO due to the lack of a USB port. I'll wait on version 2 or 3 whne they have all the little nuances worked out or preferably the courier (stylus and handwriting recognition) if it ever sees the light of day. I was looking forward to the ipad but it doesn't have the couple things needed that everything else sold on the planet has (USB port and storage - 16 gig, really?).
I'm with you people. Nothing too impressive with this "revolutionary" product. However, I likely would have purchased one of these had they included a USB port but with an iphone and a laptop, what would be the point? I could have used it to make last minute powerpoint/word changes while actually in class before doing presentations, which would have been great because graduate school is all about powerpoint presentations. A stylus would have been great as well. Maybe for once MS wil...
I'm sure it will sell like crazy but no USB = no sale for me. I understand their decision to leave it out but I would have picked one up in addition to my imac and macbook. This would not have replaced those with the addition of a fracking USB. Don't even get me started on multitasking. Maybe I'll be onboard for the second gen but I doubt it.
Every single game I was in last night had some dildo using the javelin glitch.
During private party matches, some of my friends would randomly get dropped out of matches and I noticed some serious lag in a few matches over the weekend. It would be nice if the matchmaking would cap levels, or at least have the option available, such as lvl 1-20, 20-40, and so on. It seems that low levels are always in with people 40-50 levels beyond them. Also I second the akimbo shotguns.
It's all camping, all day long. Run-and-gun is very ineffective in MW2 outside capture the flag, which I prefer. Even so, you still have people who have no interest in the missions, only kills. As long as you know the gaming experience your getting into, then it's a lot of fun. It's still filled with countless WTF moments but most are funny as long as your not on the receiving end.
It's great to see a developer admit something isn't familiar to them and then hire people who know what the hell they are doing to fix that issue, instead of porting a POS broken game over to the PS3. Kudos to Splash Damage. Hope the game turns out as good as it sounds.
I'm still working through it and doing every mission along the way. I don't love the gameplay and often play in in 3-4 hr sessions. Looks beautiful but those respawning checkpoints drive me insane. I have no problem with the concept but there should not be replacements 2 minutes after you kill them all. The map editor was amazing and I'd like to see other developers adopt similar editors into their console games. There are some really good maps that were done by players.
I have no problem with that assessment. I'd say Bioshock 2, GOW3, Mass Effect 2, Alan Wake and Fallout: New Vegas in that order.
Good to hear since I liked the first one regardless of the monotony. The armor/weapon merchants will certainly make exploration much more interesting as well. I'll be picking it up tonight along with L4D2.
The launch console that my son used finally died the same day that I picked up the MW2 console. It was a nice run that reached an inevitable conclusion.
This really isn't anything new. 360 versions often sell more copies, millions more is some cases, but releasing so close to Uncharted 2 can't help your cause either. It doesn't bode well for PS3 owners who want to see more games developed on that console and ported to the 360 though. Sales drive industry standards so the vast majority of multi-platform games will continue to be ported to the PS3 with differing results. Borderlands is an awesome experience IMO and is a definite own.
That's good news. There are enough "kids" on Live as it is so the PS3 can have em.
We already own the PS3 as well and I sure as hell won't watch a blu ray on my screaming 360 when my quiet PS3 sits beside it. I personally know of no one who doesn't own both consoles so the add-on is useless for us. 720 yes but 360 no.
I'd really doubt such a quick turnaround for a AAA title sequel like KZ2. 2011 certainly but not 2010 IMO.
looks like an open box discount to me :)
Ruins the immersion of a 5 hour campaign....doubtful. It would add if anything. How many of you have actually replayed the campaign of COD4? Me neither but with co-op I would have. SpecOps mode sounds good tho.
Well this article just blew the lid off of absolutely nothing. Who here didn't know that DVD space limitations were an issue on the 360?
