BC2 is one of the worst for rage quitters. Often times I'm the only one left for the losing team by the time the enemy gets to out last holdout. MW2 is horrible due to all the cheating that goes on but it also suffers from all the other options as well.
As a retired veteran of numerous campaigns, I have no problem with it. Games are meant as an escape and I don't correlate killing pixels to people so it won't affect me personally but I can understand how some vets may take issue with the game. I see it as a reminder to gamers that there are wars still going on today. Even the media doesn't carry the war in primetime anymore unless a soldier or marine is up for court martial. Most Americans can't even point to Iraq or Afghanis...
Agreed. Enjoy both games quite immensely.
I'd forgotten how much time I lost due to saves or lack thereof on Morrowind. Great game but damn it was glitchy (on xbox anyway).
I've also lost about 30% on Far Cry 2 but that was dozens of hours I cared not to relive so I never went back to beat the game.
Whatever happened to Dead Island?
LP2 had such great possibilities (love the first) but that game is one giant POS. So glad I rented it.
Dice dropped the ball with BC2. Great game but I'm sick of the same maps. That being said, I also complain about the price of MW2 maps but I do purchase them. I fear MOH will be kicked aside too right after launch so I'm probably not going to waste my time buying it, will just rent instead.
Sucks is pretty harsh but it isn't that good either. Same game we've been playing just under a new name.
Not too impressed and as much as I love BC2, Dice just left us out in the cold as far as maps go. I'm pretty tired of playing the same maps over and over. The beta maps on MOH show very little imagination as well and the large map is hideous. How many times have you died running across that valley with very little cover? Talk about a sniper paradise. I agree with the article as far as underpowered weapons and hit detection are concerned, sometimes the kill is immediate and other times I u...
If you fail to identify that you are not actually killing Americans or American ideals, or Sunnis for that matter, in this game, then maybe you should not buy it or any games depicting actual battles. Having recently been retired from the military after years of dirty work in lovely places, like Somalia, Sierra Leone, Iraq, and Afghanistan (chasing Bin Laden all over the Kunar Province among other things), I can tell you that I have zero issues with which side I'm playing. I'm as good...
As long as Rage gets the amount of playtime I've spent with Fallout 3 (100s of hours) then I'll be very happy. It obviously looks better but I prefer gameplay to visuals.
Are these developers lazy or ignorant? The M14 was and in many cases still is (SEALs among others) preferred by special operations personnel. It remains one of the best highly portable marksman/sniper rifles due to great accuracy and long range effectiveness. Gotta love the 7.62 cartridge. Either way, I'm ready to see some gameplay.
All of a sudden I have zero interest in this title.
@kingme71
I believe that the book is coming out on Thursday. It appears as in stock on Amazon UK and shipping on the March 18. I'm looking forward to it as well.
I wonder how many potential customers this game has lost due to EA dropping the ball? I love the game moreso than MW2 because of the deliberate/methodical gameplay but I'd rather play a MW2 glitchfest than watch BC2 attempt to connect to a server.
Gonna get this day one. I like it more each time I see a screenshot/vid and this review has me excited.
I am more impressed by this game with each video so I plan on picking it up day 1. I'm a sucker for the apocalypse anyway.
Good score regardless. It is a day 1 purchase for me. I loved the demo and will not pick up MW2 again until the new maps/double XP drops.
This is coming from a source that doesn't even carry MAG. Must be a slow news day.
Did these people play the MOH beta? I certainly wont preorder that crap unless I see some big changes between now and then.
