I will add to the MP issues as well. It can take ages to find a match and then your booted back to the lobby to wait all over again. I haven't seen too much lag but I've only played thirty or so online matches do to the long wait times. I've just been playing with brother and nephew over private instead which should not be the case. I really like the story mode but it isn't nearly as epic as promised but it is loads of fun.
I have a big issue with getting into matches. It has been taking way to long to find a match. The other night it was taking me and my brother 5-7 minutes to get into a match. We eventually just played COD4 instead. I want to play the game not spend an hour a night looking for a match.
Meh, I expected it to be bigger. :) They got my money and it was well worth the wait and the price.
Gears 2 is a visual tour de force. After seeing all the crappy vids online I was beginning to question if it was Gears 1.5 but after playing it six hours nonstop; it's an amazing game. The story, graphics, and gameplay are all first rate. There is so much color this time around. It never ceases to amaze me how much better games are when you have great writers aboard. I don't think it's too much to pay for some games but let's face it, not all games warrant that price (Area 51, Turning Point, etc...). I have between 35-40 xbox 360 and PS3 games (14 for Wii) but I'd have double that if the prices were in the $40-45 range. Either way, in the past month I picked up Gears 2, FC2, LBP, Fallout 3 and Dead Space so the price doesn't deter me if I'm interested in it.
It's about darn time! Just revisited the first one last month and enjoyed it more the second time around.
I have both consoles and bought the 360 version. I then rented the PS3 version. Guess what? They are both fantastic. Yes there are slight differences but the gameplay is the same and that's where the game shines. Comparisons are just a waste of time unless YOU compare BOTH on YOUR setup.
I've never used one since my electronics cabinet is climate controlled but if I were to use it; I would do so only with the AC adapter. You don't want the 360 powering the intercooler because that'll likely cause more issues than it prevents.
Anyone else having connection issues? Downloaded last night but after twenty minutes of attempting to connect just after midnight (east coast), I gave up. It connected for a brief moment on first try but after that just stuck on connecting screen. I got multiple errors but all seemed to do with timeout problems. Will try again tonight but just curious if others had any problems.
My XP was been frozen at 280 for over twenty matches now. I'll have to jump on and see if that has been fixed. Love the game but the bugs are a major headache in an otherwise amazing experience.
As with all humans children are the sum of their experiences. Since he was a child then the only fault lies with his family, upbringing or genetic. The parents always have a hand in the outcome of children both good and bad. As a parent it's easy to just send a child to their room and let them get lost in video games but a good parent has to balance the time between fantasy and reality. I feel that this game is much less overwhelming that Oblivion which was just too massive with way too much to do. I am loving Fallout 3 to the point that FC2, Fable II (beaten already) and LBP haven't gotten any play in the past week. It just pulls you in and won't let go until your eyelids refuse to go along any longer. As for comparisons to Fable II; there isn't one IMO. It isn't in the same league even tho I enjoyed it. Fable did do one thing much better and that was with the dog companion...
Cya. I hate that place. Customer service sucks bad but it's sad that so many will lose their jobs. That being said if they had done their jobs better then who knows. I have never had good service there and have long abandoned them for BB. I could walk around that place for an hour and no one would ask if I needed help.
The game was really good but definitely not my favorite in the series. It just didn't grab my attention like the first two and the freaking cutscenes were too many too often for my taste.
I don't know the answer to that but I am enjoying the great visual that Blu has rewarded me since getting the PS3 and snaking the HDMI cables thru the wall to the plasma. A beautiful thing it is. I am not against downloads whatsoever but I love the physical format. I enjoy alphabetizing them and thumbing over them to chose what we'll watch on movie nights. For me the physical format is irreplaceable. As for Laserdisc, I have 17 movies in that amazing format.
I am enjoying the beta. I like the maps I've seen so far for the most part and the dogs are freaking awesome. I thought it would be gimmicky until I had them sent out after me. Yeah it's COD4 with WWII painted all over it but that's a good thing IMO. The MP will be the same and judging from the numbers that still play COD4, they did the right thing there (if many of them switch over to WAW but dunno the answer to that). I really enjoyed the game but it was far too easy. I will visit again though to see how bad I can get things to be in Albion. The achievements were pretty easy as well. I got 760 on the first play. They were fun too for the most part. I wish it was a little more open but the experience for me was worth a purchase aside from the STD's. :)
Amazing! They took two really cool concepts and made them as bad as humanly possible. I actually tried to play Turning Point and after about fifteen minutes I turned around and went back to Blockbuster. Sadly I will probably rent and attempt to play this as well.
I really enjoyed the game but it has its issues. It came in at about 11 hours for my brother and I on co-op so that's respectable. Sadly I didn't get the Friends with Benefits achievement which only adds to my list of glitches in the game. I hosted the game so if anything my bro should have missed out so very odd.
