Well that sucks. Why is it so difficult for developers to bring a spy game to the market that is worth a crap? There have only been a few that come to mind with any real value. Anyway I'll give it a rent and check it out for myself.
It'll be fine. As people have said, it works great in COD4 and that is the level these games tend to aspire too in terms of multiplayer. I'd guess this is the reason gears doesn't do 10 or 15 vs. with their MP but dunno for sure. Plus the people I see online wouldn't know what cover was; they just run-and-gun with a tossed grenade mixed in occasionally for good measure.
No game should ever receive a perfect score. There has simply never been a game worthy of such a flawless rating. Many have come close but never a 10/10. At most, a game should receive a 9.9/10 because there will always be something that developers could have done that would have improved the experience no matter how small.
Great news. Riddick was an awesome game.
How can anyone take them serious with that type of quality video? Were they playing gamecube on a 25" floor model from the 70's? That was such a waste of time like all these comparison articles and vids.
I agree with the gun balance and the insane amount of ammo you have to pump into someone before they croak. They are crazy out of balance. Otherwise I like the look/play of it so far but i've only played a few games - too busy tearing up Fable II and COD:WAW beta. Plus it's out soon anyway so I'll get the hang of the weapons then.
I actually grew attached to my two rugrats in the game until Lucian wiped them out. As for killing children in the game, like most of you I could care less either way. I would not do it personally but it's a game and as long as the feeble mind of the gamer playing it is consciously aware of that fact then he/she should be able to do so with safety off. I did however save all the little sisters and not harvest them so that's where my moral compass points.
Not too surprising. A movie in capable hands would be amazing. Too bad Guillermo del Toro is busy with the Hobbit for the next four years. Ridley Scott looks available though. Let's just hope it does not end up with a hack like Boll behind the camera.
Uhh what? I like the beta but the best they can hope for is that they beat FC2. Luckily I'm getting all four and in my order they finish fourth. Gears, R2, FC2, and COD:WAW in that order I'd say.
I agree that it should have ben pushed back a few months. I picked up the LE 360 version today but having already purchased LBP, Fable II, Dead Space and Farcry 2 in the past three weeks; I am preparing for gamer overload. Not to mention the upcoming games on the horizon. I am just going to split my time with them and the family as best I can but a few of these games coming out later or a couple months back would have been welcome. Either way, it's a great time to be a gamer.
Maybe. it's is a clever booby trap. When you see it, you have to examine it more closely then BOOOOOOMM!
They are virtually the same as far as this video goes. You can't go wrong with either version but I picked up the 360 game due to friends choices more than anything else.
I probably am a fanboy but I just don't realize it. I own the big three consoles as well as PS2, PS1, xbox, DS Lite, Ipod Touch and an atari 2600. I showed the 2600 off to my kids last week. They played Berzerk and were not impressed whatsoever. They didn't even think it was a game. Oh well, they did like Qbert. As for the 360 and PS3, I own 27 360 titles and only 5 for the PS3. The thing is that all my friends are playing the 360 only so it dictates the console for which I purchase games. I ...
It'll sell just fine over the course of a year or so. I'll get it because I'm a loyal follower since the PS1 days. There are simply too many tween boys to let this title slide. :) I am hoping that it'll be a solid addition to an otherwise underachieving franchise. It is looking good graphically and the last effort was pretty good so my hopes are high but reservedly so.
As for Uncharted, I really enjoyed Naughty Dog's beautiful effort. I would have preferred more of an adventure ...
I bought mine already and I am very pleased with the purchase. The choices available are pretty cool. I got two wives and a baby from the very first "encounter" with the second one. That sucked. Alway use protection!!
That is just sad. Fanboys should be flayed over firepits IMHO. Anyone who played the beta can not seriously in good conscience give LBP less than a 8/10. I would say 9.8/10 personally but it certainly isn't for everyone.
I haven't experienced any of the problems Fatardo has written about here. My loads times have been 5-10 seconds at most but I have not progressed too far either. The game is a AAA title IMO but I haven't tried co-op yet. It looks amazing and plays really well plus you have have orgies and kick chickens :)
I am loving the game so far, only bout 4 hours in, but I haven't tried co-op yet. After playing for awhile I can see why some people would see co-op as a deal breaker but they'd being doing themselves a disservice for not playing it anyway. The gameplay is really good and the graphics were not done justice by the online vids. It really pops on my plasma and I'm digging the visual artwork more than I expected.
I'll take IGN over Gamespot any day of the week. They usually parallel my own scores.
I had an issue on the 360 version this morning when a quest didn't update down in the metro so I was wandering along aimlessly. Fun nonetheless but it shouldn't happen. It cleared after I did the 3rd task so the 4th was obvious. The game is loads of fun regardless.
