Those look sweet. Getting more and more anxious for this game if that's possible. I also wonder if the ice will have any effect on Canals. I can imagine some funny and frustrating deaths coming from it if so.
Make all the space you want but I'm not going to pay $25-30 bucks per Blu ray movie. I have about 50 Blu titles (550-600 dvd titles) but most came from sales where the price was $15-20, which i have no problem paying. I still buy the heck out of used dvd's because if the title isn't heavy on computer animation or effects, then why not get 4 movies for $20? Seriously thirty bucks for a movie. ANyway glad they're expanding because I shop there a lot.
I'm on fire. First LBP beta, then COD: WAW, and now R2.
The only game that ever gave me problems with my wife is WOW. She basically showed me my addiction and I haven't touched it in nearly two years. She likes games (Bioshock, COD4, Wii Fit :) etc.) and all but Warcraft is a curse for anyone who picks it up for the first time. (just one more level then I'm done for tonight...)
This is getting crazy. Those prices are amazing. Pretty soon I can give 360's for Christmas presents. Oh wait, I don't know anyone who doesn't have one. Sadly that's why most my game purchases are on the 360 because my friends are too cheap to buy a PS3 even tho it's a steal for what you get. Even so this has to be great news for MS. I don't know how they'll keep the shelves stocked at those prices.
It isn't the graphics that makes this game interesting, it's the gameplay. The multiplayer modes sound awesome. All the vids look like great fun and I'll take fun over graphics most of the time anyway.
Pirates have been around nearly as long as prostitutes so I'd guess developers figure such losses into their forecasting. Even so, it'll eventually come back to bite us gamers who pay to play. I'd figure that MS could easily track anyone using such games, especially those who have the achievements already. I can only guess that the laws are a pain to get around in order to prosecute anyone outside the U.S. but with all the piracy talk not much seems to come of it.
Wasn't there several issues during the beta? You'd figure these issues would have been somewhat resolved considering it's the same problem. Gamers are an impatient bunch :)
I just love making maps. I did that more than play the actual game in the first title. The editor tools seem like they are going to be the best ever available to gamers; I'm hoping anyway. First day purchase just as Dead Space was today.
Meh.. what do you expect from the French? It isn't RSV so they won't love it.
It would take a lot more than that to get me into a CC. They have the worse customer service ever!! (IMHO) I even heard a manager at an adjacent bookstore send a customer across town to a BB instead of next door to a CC. rant over. ANyway LBP beta proved one thing to me - first day purchase.
It definitely is COD4 60+ years earlier but I really am enjoying the beta. The dogs are very cool unless your on the receiving end of their bites. I enjoy the boards that I've played, especially the nighttime one, forget the name. The train level is great for u sniper campers too (which I hate BTW). So far, it's all good.
I have been watching this title for awhile and am glad to see it reviewing very well instead of being a POS. It's hard to predict GOTY especially w/out playing many of them yet. As for GOTY, we'll see. My top five as of now for that award:
Fallout 3
LBP
Gears 2
Fable II
Dead Space
MGS4 was very good but like the Oscars, it released too soon and the powers that be usually have short memories. I think only Oblivion and God of War were early year...
Both look very good. I can't add anything that hasn't been argued already. I purchased the 360 version personally but either will suffice. The gameplay looks pretty good and scary too. Will gladly spend the night with this baby.
I find it very unlikely but the sales would be through the roof. The game (a little bloated IMO and not my fav in the series) is very good and should be played by all interested parties. I am not sure how many discs it would come with though. Dunno the numbers but I don't think that it sold how Sony or Hideo anticipated and it would easily sell 2.5-3.5 million for the 360.
I don't see Home selling consoles. Develop the games and they will buy. It is such a difficult concept to grasp.
I love the cnet reviews section but I don't think anyone with even half a brain can deny the value of the PS3. The problem is that consumers, in general, are cheap. They want all the features but don't want to pay. I was an HD DVD fan due to the features the movies shipped (and reduced manufacturing costs) which were better than most Blu titles are today. They lost and I adopted Blu because I have high end components and want to watch and hear the best possible versions of the films. I also e...
I think that it'll sell some consoles but I don't see it as a a savior (if PS3 needs one). I enjoyed the beta and will purchase it but it'll likely get more use by my kids and wife in the long run. It'll do well with parents but those on a tight budget are still more likely to go with the 360 when choosing between the two because they aren't likely to adopt Blu any time soon. I think a small majority of hardcore gamers will buy it and play it for a bit but it'll get dropped quickly especially...
Is this really news? Anyone who has seen the vids could have drawn that conclusion. I am so looking forward to this title.
I got no problem with that statement. However, with Gears I know what I'm getting and I like it very much but with KZ2 there is still a question of the fun factor. I liked the first one but it grew old rather quickly. It is still way too early to hype KZ2 IMO. Look at what happened with Haze (yea yea I know), another title I was looking forward to until I played it for ten minutes. Gears will be great and I am hoping that KZ2 will be as well but graphics are just one part of a gamer equation ...
