How can anyone expect to take you seriously? I just pulled up my gamepass app and the number of streamable games is over 200 and climbing. I do not much care cor streaming, but I find it hilarious that you spout misinformation like "less than 50 streamable games".
Sony still has more, and you still tried to downplay with false info. It is also worth noting that you are attacking Xcloud like it is not still in beta, and comparing it to something that has been fi...
Not only that, but his numebrs are not even right. For shits and giggles, I pulled up how many games I could play on my phone with Xcloud on gamepass. There are over 200 games available on Xcloud right now and climbing.
A far cry from the "50" he is trying to spout. The amount of downplay this guy trys to produce is staggering.
It is not about "what ifs". What good is something they COULD do of Sony refuses to do it?
The streaming services suck on both platforms. I have a gig internet connection, and still get input lag in PSNow.
I would rather have newer and more relevant games downloadable and played natively (PSNow does not have more downloadable games than gamepass and are often older and obscure), select new games available day 1 from 3rd parties (like CrossfireX, The Medium, and Outriders), ALL first party games available day 1 as the generation goes on, 20% discounts for games I...
The Series S is meant as a cheap side dish to people who want XBox games but game on another console, or for those who just simply want to play the games and do not care about paying for peak performance.
The Series S is not a threat to anyone, but it was never meant to be either.
I like a lot of what MS has been doing lately, but the Series S was such a fking stupid decision IMO. When mid gen refresh comes out, Series S will hold everything back on all platforms since MS is now obligated to have every Series X game playable.
Only potential that it adds is for Nintendo and a Switch 2, because the gap will already be forced to be smaller than it could be.
The game was good, but definitely overstayed its welcome. Took me around 90 hours to finish, but I felt the gameplay loop did not support more than 40 effectively.
To be fair, there isn't even a grind. Anyone that buys those is just lazy.
But micro transactions for a SP retail game is BS in general, so I do not blame you.
@S2
Just shy of 50% is not most. Try again.
@nfrog
Anything included in gamepass ultimate adds to the value, so yes they get counted. Also Games With Gold more often than not offer games that are not on gamepass, so saying games are "double counted" is a reach. Just because it fits your agenda to spin otherwise, does not make it relevant. All it does in confirm your pathetic bias.
You ponies are so insec...
@nfrog
Gamepass Ultimate has about 400 games, and the number goes up each month (remember EAPlay and Games with Gold is included). All of which can be downloaded.
PSNow has between 300-400 games that can be downloaded, most of which are older and less relevant than what gamepass offers. Everything else is tied to their garbage sfreaming service. PSNow does not even have any of their own games as day 1, while gamepass does and even gets select 3rd party...
The Switch is Nintendo's current gen gaming device, and for more than half of its life will be against the PS5 and XSX (sony and MS current gen gaming devices). The comparison is justified and the mental gymnastics some people try to pull because Nintendo success scsres them for some reason is hilarious.
To each their own, but since the Switch launch I have only played about 2-3 Playstation games a year. Most of my time has gone to Switch, but I also buy all of my multiplats there as well. My job benefits greatly from the hybrid functionality, so I will definitely be getting a Switch Pro at launch. (provided scalpers do not get in my way).
And soon you can add Elder Scrolls, Fallout, DOOM, etc to that list.
I would say it is better, because the games are newer, you can download everything (which is more than what you can download with PSNow) and all 1st party games come day one with GOLD included. Now even some 3rd party games are day one as well.
I have had both, PSNow did not even make it past the trial for me. Gamepass Ultimate however, between Series X launch and now, has already paid for its own annual full price TWICE based on what I have played on it so far. And yes...
Most PSNow games need to be streamed, and more and more games are coming to gamepass day 1.
It is not bad by any means, but it is far inferior to what gamepass offers.
@nfrog
The Series X sells out in seconds, so that basically means Sony just has more stock and thats it.
Real talk though, Series consoles will outsell the X1 easily. PS5 will likely sell more overall hardware than Series, but will likely sell less than PS4 because while it will sell more, MS will cut into their bottom line in due to being more successful than gen 8. MS will be more profitable overall due to gamepass and PC on top of increased console s...
@nfrog
They are both selling out. How can you try to call out bias, and then you yourself spew more bias?
Phil already said unless there is a contractual obligation, it games will be exclusive to platforms with gamepass. Multiplatform games do not have such contracts, especially when platforms were not even announced (exclusivity may have been planned since the aquisition talks started).
Even Jim Ryan himself stated on record that he has no clue if Starfield will come to PS5 now, basically confirming no such contract exists.
I could easily see MS keeping it ...
Common tactic for new consoles really. Ragnarok and GT7 are good examples of this as well.
@trashygerbil
MS keeps bragging about BC because you can play the games natively, without being tied to a streaming service.
Thought this is mainly a shot at PS3 games, which is a large chunk of the gamepass library and only available through streaming. Gen 8 games typically do not have this problem.
