I'm pretty sure it's been said that NASCAR will only support 16 cars. I don't think there's any way you'll see a full-sized race.
Have you played Prologue?
You're right about the trees, they need work, but the spectators are full 3D models. AND they move. In fact, they'll react if you drive too close to them and they applaud as you pass.
Do they look great? No, not really, but I'm surprised there's power left to render them at all. However, they look 10x better than what you're describing. This makes me think you haven't actually played Prologue and you're just complaining.
Edit: I...
@Lightsaber
Yeah, cause GT5 is only rendering the cars...
Did you forget about the track or something?
All in all? Yes.
But that GT PSP car pack makes me happy.
'08 GT by Citroen
'09 GT-R SpecV
'02 Enzo Ferrari
'09 Bugatti Veyron 16.4
'74 Lamborghini Countach LP400
All for FREE. Oh and that means I'll be able to drive them in GT5 on day one. That's awesome.
"You missed the point. Video games are for fun. If it is fun it's not outdated because that's what the video game is for."
No, you've missed the point. I'm making a distinction. There's a difference between a great game and GOTY. I think Game of the Year needs to take the industry in a new direction or at least do something other than just being fun. Fun is subjective. By your argument, if they release NSMBW2 next year with no gameplay improvements and just new levels i...
"I was looking for something where I could say, okay, that we're doing better. I looked at their vistas, and I think that our vistas, because it's in game, this is actual in-game terrain you could theoretically take your soldier and walk up to, our vistas are better. Naughty Dog, if you hear this, I challenge you versus our vistas!"
Is he serious? Uncharted 2's vistas pretty dang incredible. I might have to check that out.
Fun? Soo no other game that came out this year was fun? Don't patronize me.
Don't get me wrong, NSMB looked awesome at E3 and I'm sure it's a great game, but if people are going to complain about games like Uncharted 2 not being innovative, then NSMB certainly isn't. It's the exact same game that Nintendo overdid in the NES/SNES era, with multiplayer. The article basically points out how outdated this game is. If it had been released for the SNES, yes, it would have been groundbr...
Could someone explain to me on what merits NSMB deserves GOTY?
For those who don't know, Sony's motion control captures at 60 fps. But, I assume, that's not going to matter to any of you.

jjohan35 is the only one who has come up with a decent criticism of the game. That's something I hadn't considered. Hopefully, in this age of DLC, Zipper will keep the map packs coming fairly frequently. Though, obviously, there may be quite a few maps that no one has seen yet. I guess we won't know until the end of January.
Oh and by the way, I'm tired of people bringing up Confrontation like Zipper had anything to do with it. Slant Six made Confrontation.
Those tha...
Sorry, posted this in the wrong place.
^^ Hmm, according to the article, Mass Effect 2 has gotten a 15 rating as well. I wonder what that means for the stateside version?
"I see it mentions Bugatti is confirmed so I assume that the Veyron is 100% sure to be in the game =D "
Indeed it is, it's in GT PSP. ;-)
DaTruth, I get your point, but do you realize you just compared an Xbox 360 game to a PlayStation(PSOne) game?
That probably wasn't the best argument. You basically just called Forza 3 outdated.
"Only two? And 1 second to lay pron holding it in? WOW! How intuative. My previous post saying 3 was sarcasm as I displayed the proper way of laying prone quickly afterwards. LEarn to read."
So now holding down a button is inconvenient? I'm sorry, nogolis, but you don't have a clue. And perhaps before you insult someone's reading skills, you might want to check your writing skills. Just sayin'.
If MGS's prone system sucks so much, why has it been adopted by so...
The summary is bull crap. The article says nothing about fixing by launch date or not caring about the beta. Pure FUD.
I tried to play all day today, and yes, there were problems with the server. But they were fixed today, at least when I played. I played from 5 pm to 6 pm (Central Time) and had no problems or errors whatsoever. So unless they crashed again, there's no reason anyone should be questioning Zipper's commitment to the beta. They fixed the problems within hours, that'...
"3D gaming will cater the casuals more than the motion controllers.
Families that already have a wii, will buy a 3D Sony Bravia + PS3 or a PS3 + motion controls to experience 3D gaming, since there is no chance to experience 3D gaming + motion controls without a PS3"
Are you saying the same people that went out and bought the only sub-HD console with the least powerful hardware and cheapest starting price are the same people who want to throw down money on a b...
I agree and I disagree.
Yes, if it has good launch games and is marketed well, Natal will move systems.
I would consider God of War III a minor system seller, I think sales will see a boost, but not a major one. It is a popular PS2 franchise making the jump to PS3, after all.
Gran Turismo 5 is the juggernaut. However, I think Prologue's release will affect it's ability to move consoles. It'll be a system seller, for sure, but you won't see the increase y...
" If MW2 is casual then what do you consider Hardcore?? "
Demon Souls. ;-)
It looks good, but not Uncharted 2 good. Obviously the camera will be further back when you're playing, but I'm disappointed with the environments. Character models look good, but things like ground textures are kind of lacking.
Nonetheless, I love God of War for its epic gameplay and story, so whatever.
