"The PS3's version of the Nunchuk, does not have a motion sensor, according to a developer I was speaking to. There's a chance that is not final, but that is the case with the controllers at Sony's showcase event today. But that's why two-handed boxing-style games were shown with two Moves."
This worries me. It sounds like you have the choice of either one hand tracking with analogue stick, or two hand tracking on rails. So if you're looking for a Zelda-like game where ...
"Ironically, the PS3 fanboys were making fun of Halo Reach's alpha build screenshots. Now you guys know how Halo gamers feel when you call their game crap based on visuals alone."
I believe most of that was in response to people claiming Reach already looked better than Killzone 2. If people hadn't been hyping the visuals, I don't think it would have been an issue. Halo hasn't been visually relevant since the original Xbox, after all.
Anyway, I loved the Gl...
I imagine it's a bit like using a mouse: More accurate, more intuitive. I also believe he was purposefully moving very little to show how precise Move is.
But you can always play with a DualShock, so don't worry. If it's not your thing, you don't have to use it.
I think the boxing game had animations that were triggered via movements rather than 1:1. Which is why it lagged a little and didn't always register.
The gladiator demo worked just fine (and looked like a whole lot of fun!). If I get Move, I'll be getting that sports game just for the gladiator game. I'm sure my family will enjoy the other stuff. I hope it has split screen, because that would be epic.

A very strong start for the latest Final Fantasy title with two thirds of sales on PS3
rroded:
3:2 for the ps3.... seems low even in the US
Who taught you mathematics?
The correct ratio would be 2:1, and yes, there's a big difference.
Anyway, this was expected. Playstation franchise (for consoles) and the better version is on PS3. Not to mention the many people who bought a PS3 for this game before it went multiplat. I'l...
D'oh! Wrong place.
I find it funny that Sony posted this on the same day...

So digital distribution is the future, but Sony's way ahead of MS on that too.. (See PSP Games, Wipeout, Burnout, Warhawk, etc.)
Cartridges are the future! ;-)
Huge differences. The titan looks much better, for example. And Kratos's chest too. The difference is especially noticeable in these screenshots I found:

Could someone please alert the idiots in the comment section that this is just a list of the top PS3 games.
Not "All time". Not even this generation. Just PS3 games. That's not a landmark feat, that was expected. If anything, they should have done this when Uncharted 2 had a 98 on metacritic. Right now this just seems silly.
As much as I love God of War and as excited as I am for GOW III, this isn't news.
Playing with C4 is a blast (no pun intended Haha). So is flying the plane. It's a shame it takes so long to unlock a lot of the cool Black Market stuff and the demo is so short.
I still haven't done the race yet.
This is definitely a rental at worst. Such a fun sandbox to play in! If you're going to make a sandbox game, make something like this. I can't wait to play around on the full island. It's a shame that it doesn't seem like you can skip the cutscenes (based on...
Wow, that waterfall looks awful compared with the rest of the game.
Anyway, cool effects. I can honestly say that's the first rainbow I've ever seen in a videogame. Hadn't even thought about it until now.

"Update: It appears that the sourced article at Fudzilla isn’t quite the full story. Reading further into this, the original German story at Heise actually states that it’s only the planned successor to the current PowerXCell-8i processor, slated to have two PowerPC processors and 32 SPEs, that will not be released. There’s no specific mention that IBM are halting the development of other Cell processors in the report, and thus there’s every chance that the...
Excellent interview.
@barom
I believe the first "before," used in this context, means "ever". The way it's structured, it's hard to pick up on the connotation if you read it wrong.
Basically, before he played the game (time), he wasn't excited to review it. After playing it, he has never been more excited to review a game.
Hope that helps clear things up.

Look how much better the game looks! Geez, the demo ...

This is basically a repost of the article posted here:

They even credited the site in this link. Did anyone else notice this? It shouldn't have been approved.
I don't understand the description at all. It doesn't sound like all the buttons are accessible from the same position. That's a no-no.
So if a game tells you to press X (or O), how do you know which one to press? Do both controllers send the same signal when those buttons are pressed?
Second of all, are they linked like the Wii? (I hope not). Does the Nunchuck have a ball and accelerometers? (I hope so).
I'm skeptical until I see pictures, this doesn't ...
"The price only applies to GameStop as of now. There is no word if this is a nationwide price cut or just for Gamestop outlets."
First of all, that's not a price drop. Second of all, I've seen the core pack going for 149.99 for ages now.
Third of all, I bought the Gran Turismo bundle on Black Friday for 149.99, $50 cheaper than retail. Not that that's important to any of you, I just like to brag. Haha.
I'm fairly certain most PS3 fans would argue the PS3 has a better library in terms of quality. The graphics are just a great bonus.
I mean, who doesn't love it when you see a graphically beautiful game that you never thought was possible on current hardware? Face-melting moments are great fun. And graphics can help quite a bit with immersion.
So the "graphics aren't important" argument is a silly one. Gameplay still trumps graphics, and games still trump ha...
Really disappointed in this. Basically this means that all the cool Dual wielding Move demos will be confined to a ring. No gladiator, or archery in a free roaming environment, at least not in the ways they've been shown so far.
I want a Zelda-like game where I can Run, pull out my bow, draw the arrow back, and fire. This isn't possible. They'll probably do it where you hold the bow like normal, but instead of drawing it back, you just hold down the trigger. It works, but it's no...
