I didn't think the lag looked significant in the video and after reading this (from the DF Natal article):
"With that in mind, an educated guess on the optimistic side would be that this Breakout-style demo operates between 133ms to 166ms - effectively the same range of response as Halo 3 working with the joypad."
So Move operates as well as or better than Halo 3 with a controller. Now, given, Halo 3 is a full game, whereas this demo is just a video with si...
If you had watched the video...
You would have realized that they get the trophy by getting Kratos stuck in a wall. That's a glitch.
To be honest, I'm less impressed with the PC version than I thought I'd be, and more impressed with the X360 version than I thought I'd be.
The difference really isn't that massive. At least not as massive as I expected.
"I guess the save clock does not register all the deaths, etc. in the playtime. When i mentioned the fastest play tester finished the game in 12-13 hrs. that was from our stop watches, not what the game save clock registered."
And there you have it, SantaMonicaKen was referring to actual time, not time-stamp. So pause screens (upgrading) and cutscenes (I believe) are excluded.

Why do you think it's dumb?
Well, let's see. The first game can be completed under 5 hours, and it took me 9. AND I knew what I was doing because I had played through it before.
There's quite a bit to explore, and the puzzles can take some time. Not to mention there's faster and and slower strategies to killing the "monsters". And then there's the dying part.
There's surprisingly a rather large gap for God of War games when it comes to playing time.
A lot of inconsistency in those Crysis shots. The first shot looks awful. Which probably means that's a console screen. Killzone wins there.
In all the others, I'd have to give the edge to crysis 2.
But I have no idea which ones are PC, console, photoshopped? (as stated above), this doesn't really tell me anything except that Killzone 2 looks good.
By the way, I hate seeing screens from KZ2 outside of first-person view. When you do that, you strip away a...
I'm trying to understand the "but that's about it" part of that sentence. 90% of what you see in videogames are the environments...
Oh and Uncharted 2's textures are miles better than Killzone 2. Killzone 2 excels in the post-processing effects, but it's textures aren't as good as uncharted 2's.
That and Uncharted 2 has the best animation, voice-acting, and cinematics around.
For me, Uncharted 2 is still the graphics king for now. When God of W...
It took me 9 hours to beat God of War on Saturday. It was my second time playing through the game, but the first was a couple of years ago. But still, I remembered most of the puzzles, how to fight enemies, etc. Then again, I spent a lot of time looking for secret chests to get trophies (full upgrades, gorgon eyes, feathers).
But it's possible to beat God of War in under 5 hours (there's a trophy). So you see, the gap can be pretty large on these games. I expect God of War III to...
Shocking.
DAMN! Those screens look fantastic. They could easily be mistaken for photos.
Now obviously we won't see anything like that running on current gen hardware, but it really gets me pumped for next gen.
And yes, we all know this blows Uncharted away. But the ruins do look very reminiscent of Uncharted's art style. Imagine if Uncharted 3 looked like that.. *drools*
Good work, Epic.
"When I spoke with Kudo Tsunoda at gamescom last year, I was surprised that you couldn't point with Project Natal."
See, I can do it too. But how do you play shooters if you can't point? Good question, I have no idea.
Anyway...
"I've spoken to the SOCOM team and they've had troubles because the motion control people sometimes really kick the ass of the DualShock people. It's unfair," he says. "They're having balancing issues and ...
I bet it's a new IP...
Best Car-phone I've ever seen in a game. Ever.
Seriously though, look at the freakin' console. The detail is unbelievable. Most developers would see it as a waste, but PD doesn't do things halfway. If there's an interior view, it has to look perfect. And it does.
I can only imagine a casual playing this game in their new PS3 and saying "Holy S***!" That's exactly what my car looks like on the inside!"
Edit:
"Tentative?

KiRBY3000, seems to be the only one who actually gets it.
You're taking "power" too literally. The only "power" computers have comes from the electrical socket.
Stig is talking about potential. Sony Santa Monica did not say, "Hey, we have all this extra 'power' laying around, should we use it?" "Nah, that sounds like too much work. This will do."
God of War III is optimized to the best of their ability at this time...
The article clearly says only 4 at a time. Either 4 Move, or 2 Move + 2 Sub. Sorry.
The summary is from an entirely different article...
Which, by the way, seems to forget that there's a game included in that $100 bundle and thus completely miscalculates the entire thing.
Umm... If I wanted to, I could simultaneously connect 7 controllers to my PS3 right now. The article even mentions this.
But Move is sending a lot more information than a regular DualShock, I would guess. Or maybe it's just a bandwith issue.
Did either of you watch the conference?
There was no "Waving around" during the Socom demo. In fact, it looked like his hand actually moved less than if he was using a mouse.
Except you couldn't use just any plastic gun. Natal wouldn't be able to isolate the end of the barrel to figure out where it's pointing. So you would need some kind of glowing piece so that it can be seen in all lighting conditions. And then Natal has to figure out what angle the gun is being held at in order to trace the vector to the TV. So the gun would need some kind of accelerometers or other sensors in the gun.
And then what do you have? PS Move.
Unfortunately,...
