Those are good points and coupled with the larger install base of the 360, that's why games generally sell much better on that platform.
Personally, I refuse to buy games on my 360 simply because I refuse to pay for Xbox Live. So when it comes to multiplats, I'll either buy it for PS3 (and enjoy the online and get my money's worth), rent it for PS3 (and dabble with the online), or rent it for 360 (and enjoy the controller and better graphics/framerate, etc.).

Luckily, I have an 80 Gb model with BC and a fully functioning PS2 from 2002, well almost. It used to have trouble playing discs with the blue underside, not sure if that's still an issue.
And in case you're wondering: yes, I have used my PS3 to play both PS1 and PS2 games.

Actually I got one of these for my PSOne back in the day and used it quite a bit. In fact, just recently I used it to play Metal Gear Solid on a family trip. But I think the PSOne is really the only console I would ever get one of these for.

Well it really depends on what the question is.
If you go by the title, then there is no possible way DVD is "better" than Blu-ray. In fact, that's one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. Price, adoption rate, etc. is all irrelevant in terms of what is "better" as a disc medium. Blu-ray will always win because of the quality. It trumps DVD in every respect.
