The BluRay format has virtually no limitation when it comes to size, at least the companies still don't know the official stable layer boundaries. The beauty: All BluRay players that have been released so far (including the PS3) will be able to play these new discs without any update. So in theory, if a company has the guts and the content to fill a <insert rediculously large 3 digit number here> GB BluRay disc with 1 game only, you would be able to play that game by the time it comes o...

Are you one of those morons who still deny the RROD as a myth? Or that the disc scratching doesn't exist? Or the disc read error that exists on every Xbox except the one you are dreaming of every night?

You got to be kidding me...

Build in Natal has to be the stupidest thing to do. A console is typically placed in an inappropriate camera angle, due to space issues it wouldn't be possible to place it ideally for Natal, it would have to be the idea of a guy whose IQ is lower than the metacritic score of movie license game. Seriously, if they do that they could as well simply push the button that flushes them far away from the gaming industry. And it would prove once more, they have no freaking idea on how to design hardw...

2nd party is not an official term but it is commonly used, so I think it is a valid term to use. You need a way to differentiate the companies after all. That said I really doubt that Insomniac, Naughty Dog (those 2 seem pretty happy with Sony) and especially Media Molecule will ever develop for another console. MM because games like Little big Planet can't be done on the 360, not because it can't handle the graphics, but because of the user generated content, Microsoft doesn't like user gene...

Correction, they have 17 first party studios according to your wikipedia source. He said 15 first party games, not just exclusives.

PS: After watching the interview, I can only reiterate that Microsofts PR guys should really start to take notes on how to promote your product by talking about the product, not how you are better than the competition.

I think, Gran Turismo aside, one of the system seller titles for the PSP will be a third party game with a first party character.

Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny featuring Kratos? How freaking awesome is that? Still Namco Bandai deserves punishment for not including Kratos in Soul Calibur 4.

And bad ones, too. God of War 1 and 2 were released in March for a reason. March is the month of Mars, the Roman god of war. The games are based on greek mythology/history but Ares has no month so they settled for the month of the Roman god of war.

If an analyst/journalist can't even figure out that simple little detail before he makes some wild, baseless predictions he deserves to be kicked out of the club.

PS: Never trust someone with anal in the job title, just sa...

Regarding God of War:

Quote Wikipedia:

"The name of March comes from ancient Rome, when March was the first month of the year and named Martius after Mars, the Roman god of war."

The God of War series are based on greek mythology/history but since Ares has no month, they had to go with the month of the Roman god of war.

Knowing that you could predict that it would be released in March, even if you didn't know that, going by the fir...

I know what you mean, it's not what I meant. You can clearly see the Wii is appealing to people who aren't interesten in gaming, they simply have a fun time playing some Wii sports and don't worry about other games much. It's not like the Wii is a gateway system to shooters and action games.

All I was saying is that Sonys primary focus is to keep the passionate gamers happy, not the soccer mums and granny gamers who are enjoying their Wii every now and then. This is the path Nint...

I don't want Sony to head in a casual direction. They care about the hardcore more than the other 2. Look at the games, they have so many games coming from their own studios year after year, all of them really good games, some stand out more of course, but I enjoyed Resistance 2 as much as Killzone 2, Uncharted as much as Heavenly Sword, Ratchet and Clank, Motorstorm etc etc etc, I could go on and on, all great titles. They keep tossing these games out with no end in sight, that's what I real...

This will never happen. You can't put a pricetag on everything. The internet is too big, there is an uncountable amount of websites out there, it's obvious some sites stand out but they are I believe under 1% of all the sites online. Some sites offer subscriptions with the benefit of HD videos or beta keys for games etc and that's about it.

Where do you draw the line? You have to pay per click or a monthly fee to visit certain websites? Or you have to pay to access a certain netw...

Appearently it is hard to find if your IQ is lower than a metacritic score of a movie license game.

Microsoft deserves a kick in the balls for ruining Rare. I bet they have acquired Rare to produce games for a younger and more casual audience because they had Donkey Kong, Banjo and ... Conker! Right? MS is to blame because they decide what games Rare has to make, or what abomination (Avatars). If a different company would have bought them, we would probably see something the fans would go nuts over and all the petitions would finally come to an end, you know what I'm talking about, Killer I...

From a business standpoint, if the Duke Nukem Forever license is available for purchase it wouldn't be a wise decision for id to pick it up, they are only a small team compared to other studios and with Rage and Doom 4, probably a Quake 5 is also planned, they have plenty of stuff to do in the coming years. It would only delay the game further and further. I am sure someone will pick up the license, I just hope it won't be Activision, they would probably bundle it with a plastic gun and renam...

Well if you see reviewers who are so desperate to downplay a PS3 Exclusive game to actually give it a bad rating for having too much variety, well I don't know about you but I never felt like a lot of variety hurt a game and this is the number one complaint on publishers for giving us more of the same year after year. It's safe to assume the reviewer is biased and is just desperately looking for something he can use to make a game look worse than it actually is.

The mentioned gam...

Well I haven't read the review and won't, already finished the game in some long nights. And honestly, I love it. I can understand why a lot of reviewers gave it a 7-8.x. Don't get me wrong the game is pure fun, but it has a lot of things to be picky about a gamer can easily overlook while playing it (Did I mention I love the game and it's pure fun?), a reviewer, however, can not. In comparison, the graphics are bad, the missions are repetitive, the story is something that has been done a hun...

I would give it a 10 just for the fun factor it has. You have movement capabilities Spiderman could only dream of, it is so much fun just running through the city or simply climbing the highest building. Sure it has it's downsides but I'd say it redefines free roaming.

Professional reviewers can't ignore the downsides, but as a gamer, I'd say Prototype is worth every cent.

Have yet to play Infamous so I can't say anything about it.

Microsoft makes, markets, sells Windows. They own the Windows OS, but they have no control over it. If they want to stay in the game, they need to play by the rules, and including all this functionality burying all 3rd parties in the process, breaks a rule. Governments use Windows, if they would just blindly install it on their computers, Microsoft would reach world domination controlling the governments.

Sounds like a bad SciFi movie? It will stay that way as long as no governme...

Same here in Germany, I have a proxy app that connects me to a US proxy though, I can even watch shows on hulu.com :).

But anyway I've tested VidZone and love it so far. There is a lot of room for improvement, like the terrible search function described in the article. Navigation could also be improved. The menu where you manage current songs and your playlists, they could place it on top so you could access it anytime.

Some songs are censored, some aren't, all in SD...

May I ask, what in the world are you talking about? What has Crytek to do with KillZone? Guerrilla Games developed most of the engine, some of Sonys other 1st party studios provided components as well. Again, your link to Crytek is...? Crytek makes their own engines and they are licensing them, I don't know any game besides Crysis that was using the CryEngine 2, but I think with CryEngine 3 and all of it's great productive multiplatform capabilities, like realtime editing of every part of the...
