I just love how he excluded all games from the listed companies but has added Epic, Square and Bungie.

This leaves these companies with pretty much... nothing? And I would bet cash that his list wouldn't include Square before last years E3. Just sad.

Sony and Naughty Dog have no such contract. Sony OWNS Naughty Dog - it is save to say that while the Playstation brand is here, so are Playstation exclusive games from Naughty Dog. They have a deal with Insomniac, and as we've seen in another topic, they are happy with Sony and won't leave them in the near future.

You also just made clear that you take quantity over quality. BluRay is necessary for a few genres, like sandbox, otherwise the games will be GTA4-like. Good intentions...

The problem is, they dumbed down the entire game, not just the 360 version, so everyone is getting the same.

I think in the future we will see publishers who can afford it, making different versions for 360/Wii/PC&PS3 (The last 2 beeing the same version). Like Ubisoft did with some installments of the Splinter Cell franchise, where each platform recieved a different version that was suitable for the hardware.

At least that's what I hope they do. I don't like the ...

My point is, you clearly referred to Sony fans only, not fanboys in general. And an article is flamebait even without mentioning the competition. He claims to know better how to run an international multi billion dollar company. And even after saying he has a reputation as a "Sony basher" and a "PS3 hater" people should take this "blogger" seriously? The paint makeover of Kaz Hirai and Jack Tretton just adds to this ridicule.

He completely ignored Mi...

"if anyone says something even remotely negative about sony, you fanboys treat them like the enemy"

Well, you are clearly referring to Sony/PS3 fans. But the obvious truth is, it's not just Sony fans. Look into the comments section of this:

article, you can see the author is a gamer even though he posts on a PS fansite. As you ...

Actually Gears of War is a great game. I would welcome it on the PS3. And it is possible it could hit PS3 with the 3rd installment, since MS and Epic only contracted the first 2. This may have changed to include the third game but who knows. Anyway my point is I doubt it would be just another game on the PS3.

I've played through the first game in COOP, it was awesome. Bought the PC version since I would never buy a 360, can't wait for the second game to hit the PC. I'm certain it...

The PS3 has it's share of violent games, so why would he want to support a gaming platform?

Jace Hall had an interview with him, they shook hands afterwards and Jack Thompson wiped his hand with a handkerchief just because Jace Hall is a gamer. He disrespects someone for playing games, again why would he support a gaming platform?

And for the record, I didn't hit the disagree button.

He would get a regular BluRay player just so he wouldn't support anything game related. So that argument is null.

This guy is such a fanatic that assuming he uses it for a ritual sacrifice becomes reasonable.

You could fit the entire 360 library in a 4 disc box set using Panasonics technology.

Also NPD is NA only... the PC has an installbase of.. uhm, a billion people? Not all gamers, that should be clear, but 200 million gamers worldwide should be a somewhat accurate guess. Did you get the keyword? You give up? Ok here it is: WORLDWIDE. The PC market is far more popular in Europe and Asia so NPD can get lost on this topic.

Also piracy is a popular excuse for developers producing shovelware. OMG our game didn't sell as we expected, we even rushed it on the market with ...

Consoles haven't killed anything. They have dampen the PC yes, but the PC is here to stay. I wouldn't trade my PC for anything and yes, I own a console as well.

They should ban the politicians who obviosly don't know what they are doing. One has recommended to ban all games who in some way allow to kill human and human-like creatures, good bye Mario. Another one was proposing a law to make posession of banned games worth 2 years prison time, 2 years, go rape a girl and get out earlier. Thank god both weren't approved.

You know I do wonder sometimes, if they fail on the topic I could be called an expert on. How are they managing everythin...

You mean HVD? Holographic Versatile Disc? I don't know why you think MS would discard BluRay, I assume it's because BluRay is associated with Sony a lot.

Well, too bad Sony has it's hands on HVD as well.

Uhm, to the guys who don't know what 1080p is...

1080p or FullHD is a pixel resolution, namely 1920x1080. What you are talking about is aspect ratio. The former standard was 4:3 and movies were 16:9, means the movies were wider than the screen that's why it had black stripes on top and bottom. Todays LCD and Plasma TVs have an aspect ratio of 16:9, black stripes vanished. But people started to miss those stripes, they were an indicator for movies or something, think of something ...

30 million people basicly told them rushing out a console is alright, fix it 10 times and we will still love you MS...

This is the exact reason why I will never buy a 360, it's like bending over your customer values and let MS in for a ride.

As long as people support such a sorry excuse of hardware manufacturing, they see no reason to fix it, why do you think it took them 3 years to take on the RROD (Not including the other flaws the hardware has)? (To my knowledge i...

It's not a question of what it offers or what it can do. It is a question whether or not people will move on from Windows. Linux is my preferred system. It is free, it has a giant load of software for every purpose, it is stable like a mountain and can run for YEARS and still perform like on day one (We have 5 Linux and Unix servers and 2 Windows servers at work, we are rebooting the Windows servers every weekend, while the Linux and Unix servers are still running since we set them up 9 years...

Discs are easily damaged, if you smash them with a hammer or sit on them or play football on them... But seriously what do you do to your discs? My PS1 collection is alive and kicking, they have minor scratches and work flawlessly.

Now HDD space is another story. My PC has 4 HDDs with a total of 1.6 TB (terabyte) of space, full. You read me right, they are completely full. Family movies, pictures, music, all sorts of programs, games, you name it.

Uhm, the bundle is 399$, Metal Gear Solid 4 is 30$ (Amazon.com) and Killzone 2 is 50$ (Amazon.com), so the system is 320$. What are you waiting for? For Sony to drop it to 300$ WITHOUT games?

This bundle is a steal if you ask me. You get a PS3 and 2 of the best games this gen. Go for it before it's too late.
