From what I saw, I think there were slightly lower frames on PS5 at it's lowest and the lowered frames were slightly more persistent (i.e. longer).
The emphasis here is on slightly. It's barely enough to mention from what I could see. I wouldn't be able to tell any difference without the actual frame counter and, even then, it's a blink and you'll miss it
Wonder if they might port omikron or indigo prophecy to switch.
Based on estimates, Nintendo could have sold anywhere from 4.8M-5.5M in this final quarter. Bringing their total FY sales to 28.9M-29.6M.
But we will see if these estimates are accurate!
@ABizzel
Last week PS4 didn't even sell 30K combined for EU and the RotW.
At the current rate PS4 will barely pass 2.5M total for the whole year. Next year will likely be half that. And so on.
Nintendo releases their numbers May 6th.
It wont hit 130M. Sales have slowed down considerably. PS4 was at 112M as of June of 2020. 9 months (including the holiday season) they are only 4M units above that. 120M is the maximum not the minimum.
Switch will steal number 4 or number 5 by the end of the year. PS4 might reach number 3 when it is all said and done.
Handheld consoles and home consoles are in different categories, but both are still videogame consoles. Since this is a list of the best selling videogame consoles, handhelds are included. They would not be if it was the list of the best selling home consoles though.
Gonna be honest, I've only played like 20 minutes of Syphon Filter 2 on the PS1. However, I have been interested in trying the PSP games. Anyone know if they are on the Vita PS Store?

The Series X/S is outselling it's predecessor by a greater margin than the PS5 is outselling the PS4.
Personally, I think the pandemic helped both consoles sell crazy amounts s...

A) If it has been a problem, why again has Nintendo been able to manufacture more Switch units and Sony/MS been able to manufacture more launch units than ever before? Please, I legitimately want to hear how production issues explain this.
B) 3,729,135 > 3,591,945
@Nyxus
Maybe, but, again, there has been a huge boost in video game console sales since the pandemic. If they could have made more maybe their wouldn't have had unprecedented demand.
I mean, look at the Switch sales last year. It blew up around March and just kept going. It ended up hitting 28M in one year, something we haven't seen since the Nintendo DS. Is that despite the pandemic? Nah, in reality it's, at least in part, because of the pand...
@Nyxus
They are struggling to manufacture consoles, yet they are able to manufacture more consoles than they ever have before...Clearly it hasn't impacted manufacturing much.
They are selling out due to high demand. PS2, Wii, 360, PS3, PS4, Switch...all these consoles suffered shortage after launch due to high demand. None of them amid a pandemic. It's certainly not uncommon.
To this day I don't know why people are saying "with the pandemic" as if it's been a hindrance for game sales.
A) Literally all consoles saw a huge boost when the pandemic hit and game sales and console sales are up YoY
B) Clearly manufacturing is not an issue as the PS5 and XSX are selling more than their predecessors in the same timeframe and even the Switch is selling more this year in comparison to last year.
@RauLeCreuset
Idk about impossible. I own it and got the platinum trophy for it. I think there are definitely ways they could adjust it to be in 2D and non VR, but it'd require the perspective be changed in a lot of places. Also they'd have to add a reticule for some of the shooting sections and the ability to go into first person view in order to find the chameleons.
Overall it wouldn't be as good though. Game was incredible in VR.
@DarkZane
People say that it would easily do this, but even the PS4 never had a year that sold over 20M, yet last year Switch sold 28M and is looking to mimic that this year.
I don't think the PS5 would overtake that easily. Consoles typically take a bit to hit their peak even after stock is accounted for.
Go Switch! Paths won't ever cross again it seems.
@kayoss
"The pandemic caused a shortage of chips that are used for the next gen consoles"
If this shortage was actually affecting anything the PS5 wouldn't have sold so well...clearly the impact isn't that significant since the console continues to be shipped and sell.
Resident Evil 7 had the most Resident Evil-esque tropes since Resident Evil: Code Veronica, IMO. The only thing missing is the tank controls.
@Sullys
Yeah I still haven't played RE7 in VR. Beat RE7 years ago but just got PSVR recently. Haven't had the time to go back, but I definitely will at some point.
