This didn't leak. It was officially announced days ago.
I have a PS4 Pro right now, though I got it about two years ago. It's nice for some of these new PS4 games that are cross gen with PS5 as it increases the admittedly lower resolution. For example, Sackboy on stock PS4 is 720p, but it's 1080p on my Pro. It keeps these games looking good while I wait for PS5's to be available.
I experienced drift in my joy cons, as well as a weird disconnection issue. I sent it to Nintendo and got it fixed pretty fast, but this was well before the pandemic so idk how there support is now.
I've never experienced drift with any other controller, PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo.
Still over 40% YoY growth for the Switch. That's pretty crazy. It won't sustain that throughout the whole year unless Nintendo drops another killer app, but I might have to raise my prediction from 20-22M to 23-25M for the 2021 year.
@Christopher
I'm pretty sure the Division 2 originally had a marketing deal with Xbox. Maybe that's why they prioritized that console.
I think that what we have been seeing with the disparity on both consoles is the emphasis of one platform over another instead of actual power differences. For example, Controls stuttering issue. As SDK's improve and devs get more comfortable with the hardware we should see more consistency with the consoles in what they are actually good at. Also, projects won't be as rushed to cash in on the next gen craze.
Japan may love handhelds, but the dockable Switch still regularly sells more in japan (by a considerable amount) than the lite version.
I think there is still a market for consoles in Japan, they just have to also make it convenient.
By the end of this year no less. They just need a bit over 20M to do it. Selling 20M in 2021 would actually be significantly down from 2020, which was like 28 or something.
@DCarnage
Yeah, you can only reply directly to the OP and a direct commenter on N4G. The rest gets lumped up into a single thread. It's pretty dumb
I would say the gym is better for a workout overall, but the pandemic closed every one of the gyms in my area, so I was pretty much forced. Even then, it's still a pretty cool game. The only thing I wish is that they worked a bit more with strength (some workouts are painfully easy) and that you could ...
Out of the list there is literally only one Wii U port.
REVIII excites me! I just hope it plays well on the PS4 Pro
I have 4 of those on my must have list and 4 of those on my back burner list
@Darkzane
Console launches actually tell us little about overall sales. For example, the Wii U sold around the same as the Wii did at launch, yet where they ended up are complete opposites.
Similarly, the DS didn't sell as well as Nintendo hoped until year 2 when it exploded.
@DCarnage
Dude, don't knock ring fit. I did at first. Bought the game for my girlfriend and we've both put in over 60 hours. It's fun and challenging. Better than Wii fit, imo
This list isn't bad, but mine would be (in no order)
Smash Ultimate
BotW
Xenoblade 2
Luigi's Mansion 3
Fire Emblem 3 Houses
100M is going to happen by the end of 2021.
"So the PS4 continues to be the best selling accumulative console surpassing the Nintendo Switch and selling more than 100m."
This is such a weird spin...
@bousebbal
Yes, this is a new MH.
@1Victor
Disregard my last comment I misread your response.
NPD doesn't release numbers to the public, and the majority of Europe doesn't either, so I'm not sure how you think they haphazardly update every month.
Also, they do receive information from retailers. They just don't receive information from all retailers. It's a sample. They extrapolate that data and estimate from there, but they are legitimate statistics...
The Switch will pass the Wii in lifetime sales by the end of this year.
