Drip feed isn't good on the consumers end, but I see why they do this. It keeps NSO in the news and keeps interest alive.

It's the difference between VC and a subscription like NSO. For VC it doesn't matter if they drip feed or not because you are only going to buy what you are interested in. For NSO they need to constantly reinvigorate interest to keep people subscribed.

That said, they should not take as long as they have been with these dri...

It's only going to be focusing on games from now until around March 2022 too. We should be getting a release date or dates for whatever games they have planned after Pokemon Legends Arceus. Hopefully BotW 2 for March 2022, but not counting on it.

If I had to bet, I'm guessing N64 games on NSO and Donkey Kong for 2022 will be mentioned.

Talk about an incredibly immature fanboy response. No use talking to you anymore.

If the Xbox 360 was performing at one degree, and the Xbox One was performing at a MUCH lower degree, then the Xbox Series performing significantly better than the Xbox One would be a comeback. It's not quite there with the 360, but it's getting much closer to it than they were.

I just don't get how no one here can celebrate small victories. You either have to sell the best or be the best rated otherwise you might as well kick rocks. It's a dumb mindset. Im...

Regarding your comment below: The "comeback" doesn't mean it's beating anybody, just that they are increasing their sales significantly gen over gen. The Xbox Series is on track to outsell Xbox One's entire lifetime Japan sales by the end of the year. That's impressive for them and much better than they were doing last generation.

I don't think Nintendo asked Platinum to tone down anything. In fact, Nintendo asked them to increase the sex appeal of their Nintendo character costumes and they even partnered with Playboy to market the game.

I disagree, Ultimate is incredibly refined. You think it's more sluggish than Brawl or the original?

Been playing Smash Bros. since the original came out and this is one list I can whole heartedly agree on.

I think this is one of those things that is about efficiency over possibility, and is something we've been hearing about leading up to this generation. The Rift Mechanic could have been done via bank switching from the RAM. However, the fast speeds of the SSD allow it to act as if it is a form of RAM leading to the developers having a greater amount of RAM to work with (as they don't have to pack as many assets into it) and leads to simplicity in development.

I know it sucks, but sometimes control experimentation ends up being awesome. Sometimes it ends up being a blunder. We just have to roll with the punches.

Where would VR be if people didn't experiment?

"It's not selling because of software"

Yeah man, people just buy it to look at it. Not to play anything.

The Switch Lite still has gyroscope motion, but the minigames in Super Mario Party require you to do very weird things with it, so you wouldn't even be able to see what was happening on screen while you're participating in the minigames.

Though, fun fact, if you pair joycons to the Lite then you can, in fact, play Super Mario Party. The same probably goes for most of the games on here. But...I just couldn't imagine that being fun on ...

All of those make sense. Luckily the newwst Mario Party has button controls so Switch Lite users can join in.

Trailer started off good with the homage to the original, but the graphics of the overworld and character portraits just look cheap. The graphics of the battle scenes is better, but overall I'm not impressed.

Shining Force used to be my favorite. I wish Sega treated Shining Force like how Nintendo has been treating Fire Emblem recently, with Awakening, Echoes, and Three Houses.

It's based on the amount sold. It's not fluctuating as much. There were weeks where there were only like 140k units of the PS5. Now there is almost double that on a weekly basis.

This is the first week in the last 72 weeks that Switch is under 300k. This can be partially attributed to the new model which was announced. Though naturally a consoles sales will start to fall as it becomes more saturated.

August and September game line ups don't have anything terribly huge for Switch either. Though I personally will be picking up NMH 3 I don't think it will provide a big hardware boost. I expect Switch will continue being down YoY until October w...

I'm sure Nintendo makes a lot of their Switch games with portability in mind.

There are some first party games on sale rn, but it's by 30% so they are still around $40.

@Spectator

I don't believe that is correct. For Nintendo's fiscal year Q2 is July-September, Q3 is October-December, Q4 is January-March.

If we were talking calendar year you'd be correct, but we are not.

4.45M units sold in Q1 is great, though it is a drop from 2020. This is likely because of the quarantine + Animal Crossing boost. That game couldn't have come at a better time.

Nintendo wants to sell 25.5M consoles in FY21, so they just need 20.55M left. In other words, Nintendo's goal is to get to almost 110M by March of 2022. I'd expect Q2 to also be down from 2020 (which was 6.85M) due to the announcement of the OLED. My estimate is probably 5-5.5M. But Q3 s...
