@Army
How would a Switch Pro be pointless at this time? It's the middle of the generation. It's the perfect time to extend the life of the Switch.
The PS5 and Series X don't seem to be affecting Switch sales. Switch sales are up YoY.
The people who are disagreeing...give me a reason you think that a Switch 2 will be released sooner. Like, are you conflating a Switch 2 with a Switch Pro? An upgrade is different than a whole new successor...
There wont be a Switch 2 for at least three more years.
Not every game on a new console will be some crazy innovative experience. For example, there were still 2D platformers on the PS1 and N64.
The game looks pretty cool, and this is coming from someone who does not like rogue-likes. Is it game changing, no, but not every game has to be. They just have to be fun.
Can you be a bit nicer? Jesus...
Sony isn't redesigning the whole console any time soon, if the rumor is true they are just changing their 7nm chip to 6nm. The reason? More chips per wafer. It is way to early to expect a slim model, as the amount they could reduce the PS5's chip would not be significant enough to change cooling and/or form factor.
Don't expect a slim unit until 3nm become easy to produce, which wont be until 2023-2024. This is also historically around the time Sony typically la...
That sucks about your experience. That is a relatively common occurrence with digital marketplaces. I used to work for Google and we would lock up peoples accounts if they reported fraudulent activity on their card. We would ask them to reverse them and offer a refund, but often times we couldn't refund either. Basically it amounted to "pay for the fraudulent purchases to get your account back".
Left a VERY sour taste in my mouth. It hasn't happened to me...
Does that mean it will be coming to PC? Would be cool if true. I don't have a PS5 yet, but I would like higher frames than my PS4 Pro gets me.
84.59M in 49 months is pretty cool. Only videogame console that has beat that record is the Nintendo DS.
@Gameseeker@Shiken
The GBA did not sell 81.5M in those three years and change. In March of 2005 the console was at 66M units. The next year, March of 2006, the console was at 75M. March of 2007 the console was at 79M units. It took the console 7 years to sell 81.5M.
Nintendo literally had their biggest year ever profit wise, so everything you said here is pretty much false. No offense.
@DefiledViper
Sony is breaking records, MS is selling more consoles than before (allegedly) and Nintendo is breaking records. The chip shortage is due to a large amount of demand. Also, Nintendo does use different chips than Sony and MS.
Yeah, I think the PS Store can fix some issues.
On PS3 it is just so incredibly slow, and the filter options on all devices is not great. For example, if I select sales on PS4 it doesn't actually show me all games that are on sale. For PS4 I have to find the sales theme card and hit that, then I see those sales. If there are multiple themed sales going on then I can't see all the sales that are currently happening. In addition, when I filter by PS Classics on PS3 or...
Well, it's no Dreams, but it looks interesting. Seems to emphasize simplicity. Would be a good way to get kids involved in making games. Though, of course in typical Nintendo fashion, I'm sure it will be fun for adults too.
@destiny
I didn't boast about it. I literally said "From what I saw, I think there were slightly lower frames on PS5 at it's lowest and the lowered frames were slightly more persistent (i.e. longer).
The emphasis here is on slightly. It's barely enough to mention from what I could see. I wouldn't be able to tell any difference without the actual frame counter"
I was just making a factual statement and got slamm...
On the last analysis video by someone else I made a comment that said the Series X with Ray Tracing on performed slightly better (like 2-3 FPS) when someone suggested there was no difference and I got downvoted to hell. Yet, based on this, it looks like both the video and I were correct in our analysis. I wish people didn't just disagree and run away.
Well that's not very cool.
This game is overpriced, but the Switch has many quality games that aren't shovelware.
@thedisagrees
I'm not sure why people are disagreeing. I watched this video like ten times before I even commented. Look at the third comparison specifically. Drops to 55FPS on PS5 and 57FPS on XSX and it lasts a little longer on PS5. But, again, a 2FPS difference at the worst is pretty negligible and barely worth mentioning.
I don't think so. At least, not at this time. Sony said "There’s still a lot of development underway for our new VR system, so it won’t be launching in 2021". If Gabe is really talking about a game coming out late in 2021...well PSVR2 wont be a thing yet.
