I agree, those mid gen’s kinda defeat the purpose of a console imo.
For me, no. For others perhaps yes. Each his own on this one imo.
Pretty underwhelming if you asked me.
You still “pay” for demos if you don’t have acces to it another way for free.
Probably, but enough to finance all these updates? This game is like 6 years old. But hey, I’m not complaining tho 😁
I am truly amazed by what this game has become. All these free updates, how is HelloGames making money??
I'm not stating they don't have any new ideas as a whole, I was only talking about Max Payne, not Control or Alan Wake or any other new IP.
There are 3 Max Payne games already, how far can you go with the same characters storywise to keep it interesting and keep true to the world the game is set in?
@Captain: My guess is, in order for a new one, they need a need story and perhaps updated gameplay mechanics. The first Max Payne was awesome primarily because of the gameplay, unique at the time. Now we’ve all seen it. Remaking/rebooting an old succesfull game seems like a safer bet if you have no ideas for a new game.
If we talk hideous, how about the Sega Genesis with the 32X upgrade installed onto it, I mean, what the hell was that??
Agreed, PS3/X360 was a great era for games. Loved that generation!
Weird, my LG automatically goes to game mode when changing to the channel where my console is hooked on. I don’t see the point in this “stealthy added” feature.
So you drank paint thinner before? 😁
Going from PS3 to PS4 gave you the first person view at least, which was a different experience to play it that way.
You can look at this from 2 standpoints. Either the Series S is selling better than expected which proves MS right to launch a "mid-tier" console or it doesn't sell as much and the Series X is doing well anyway where the Series S has low impact on the selling chart. I believe it's the second, because I can get my hands on a Series S pretty easy but I still can't find a Series X.
Back in the day with GT1 I used left stick for steering a right stick for gas/brake, ‘cause L2/R2 were just buttons then, not triggers like now. Took some time to adjust to it, but in the end got better laptimes because of smoother riding and better control of gas/brake :)
Kraken compression where are thou?
Like when PS4 was launched, it didn’t have friends notifications coming online, when PS3 apparently did. What was that all about?
I think you underestimate the amount if console players hooking their system up on a PC screen. I’ve been doing this for over a decade now.
I don’t entirely agree: 4K on a big TV screen isn’t a waste imo. Native is always better then upscaled (despite the cost of resource)
However, as I play on a 27” pc screen, 1440p is indeed the sweetspot, totally agreed on that. Too bad PS doesn’t support it. Maybe one day…
Seriously? Proud for owning a console?
