I guess “amazing” was word of the day on the toilet paper.
On topic: the game looks promising!
Ok, but do you need VR for a game like this?? I don’t get that. VR for first person games or Gran Turismo hell yes! But this?
@Goosejuice: If Anunnaki meant gpu clockspeeds, then correct, PS5 is higher.
No it doesn’t. PS5 has faster Data Transfer Speed (I/O Throughput): 5.5GB/s (Raw),
8-9GB/S (Compressed) compared to SeriesX 2.4GB/s (Raw), 4.8GB/s (Compressed).
But the CPU on PS5 is clocked lower: 8x Zen 2 Cores at 3.5HGz vs SeriesX 8x Zen 2 Cores at 3.8GHz (3.6GHz with SMT).
The faster IO from the SSD is what makes the difference in certain games making the PS5 having the better version.
Sorry but that’s BS. SeriesS is bottlenecking SeriesX rather than GP does imo.
I really love this game, even when I’m not a Harry Potter fan. Just the broom flying feels a bit off to me, control wise.
It’s not really misinformation tho; when wearing the headset, the foveated rendering makes that the point where you look will be 4K, around that point will have a lower resolution. But the wearer of the headset can’t see this. When you would stream however, someone can actually look where the wearer is not and therefore can see the lower resolution areas, hence the blurry effect.
@ Tiredgamer:
I can agree that there are passionate people working on the playstation brand, sure. But in the end, that division will have to turn in profit. Playstation is a part of Sony and not the other way around. However, 25% earnings to Sony come from Playstation brand, so it’s an important division.
And you think Sony cares about gaming? They ALL care about making money and profit one way or another. That’s just how business is done. You can agree or disagree on how they do their business, true to that. But in the end, to them you are a consumer, nothing more, nothing less.
I think the faster SSD gives PS5 the edge here but not all games depend on the speed of SSD’s. Open world games do however. I wouldn’t be suprised if games like GTA6 would run better on PS5 as well but others might run better/equal on SeriesX I guess. I’m playing this game on SeriesX, no complaints so far in terms of framedrops tho (thanks to VRR on my monitor). Noticed a few little graphical glitches, not sure they are the same on PS5.
I play on a 27 inch LG monitor @1440P. Imo the sweetspot considering sharpness of resolution and screensize. My PC, SeriesX and PS5 are hooked up on it. My wife can watch TV as I can game whenever I want.
VRR for 1440p, yes please!!
Kinda weird to just ad up both eyes and then assume you have 4K. Also, wouldn’t that make it 4000x4080 then?
Can someone explain to me how a resolution of 2000x2040 is called 4K (3840x2160)??
I think Sony is smart enough to realize that making a new handheld puts them against steamdeck and switch (in a way), where as with PS VR2 they are the only ones with a VR setup for console. A no-brainer in my opinion.
It’s about making money, either with services or games or both, whatever. Sony, MS and Nintendo do business and profit is what they want in the end.
Great game, really enjoyed this one.
😂
Kenny and Creature only have 2 mods as far as I know?
@Terry:
Last Epoch indeed, got my eyes on that one for sure! They seem to have an interesting drop/trade system, according to a vid from Rhykker.
