I agree. I can't wait for MW2 and Halo ODST. MAG has potential but I need to see more before I decide whether to buy it.
What I am really looking forward to though, is Splinter Cell Conviction and Mass Effect 2.

Yeah and it still looks better than about 97% of the PS3 lineup, so what's your point? Just because maybe 1 or 2 games have jumped ahead of that doesn't mean much. The 360 could come out with a game at some point that jumps ahead of those games and it could go back and forth all generation.

No way, there was a MUCH bigger graphical gap between the two consoles last generation than there is this gen. Games like Chronicles of Riddick, Doom 3 and Splinter Cell Chaos Theory were much more graphically advanced than anything on the PS2. It wasn't even close.
This gen it is very close indeed. Killzone 2, despite the rantings of fanboys, has only marginally better graphics, if at all, than what has been achieved on the 360.
I'm sorry, I disagree. MGS4 is a great game, but the graphics are not that great. The lighting and the character models look great but the whole game runs at a sub-HD resolution, the texture are often bland and the anti-aliasing could be a lot better. Several games on both consoles look better in my opinion.
Still a great looking game and gameplay wise one of the best.
Exclusives aren't better than multiplats. SOME exclusives are better than SOME multiplats.
Personally a lot of my favorite games are multiplats and many exclusives I have played were crap.
Killzone 2 looks really nice and is a good game, but its graphics are overrated. They are good, but not as good as some people make them out to be. Lighting and physics are its strong points, but other areas aren't so good--textures and framerate to give two examples.

Man Xbox has sure achieved a significant improvement in the market in terms of brand recognition. I loved my Xbox last generation and even though I had a PS2 as well and loved a lot of the games on that system, I was a bigger fan of the Xbox for its online service, for its amazing graphics and games like Chronicles of Riddick EFBB, Halo, Jade Empire, KOTOR, the Splinter Cell series and many more.

Based on everything I have seen and read the 360 is functionally the most powerful console for modern day game making in general. Lots of game developers have expressed this, but they are ignored.
The PS3 if coded for in a very particular way can put out some amazing graphics, but most developers will get better performance out of the 360. The 360 has a more powerful and efficient GPU, a much better memory architecture, more general purpose computing power and a smaller OS memo...
I'm sorry, but Heavenly Sword and Ratchet & Clank, while they look nice, do not look any better than many games on the 360.
But the fact remains that this article is talking about a very specific kind of task. Those with technical knowledge know that this doesn't mean that the PS3 is necessarily going to be good at the majority of game related tasks.
The vast majority of games perform better on the 360. This is an undeniable fact. Outside of the absurd fanboy hype there are maybe two games on the PS3 that truly could be considered to be more graphically advanced than any game currently on the PS3...
I have Killzone 2 and it does look really great, but it does only look marginally better than other top shooters. The same way the majority of multiplatform games look marginally better on the 360. There is a noticeable difference but in the end it doesn't make that much difference. The quality of the game is the most important thing.
Some people already like Forza better than Grand Turismo so it is obviously debatable as to which one is better.
Rage is multiplatform and I would be willing to bet anybody that it will remain so. The idea of it going exclusively to the PS3 is far fetched as hell.
Well Cupid_Viper if you want to play that game I guess the 360 fans were right when they pointed out Killzone 2 isn't played in the professional gaming league like Halo so it must not be as good of a shooter.
Seriously, what you are saying is pointless. The fact is the past two Forza games have received higher scores than the past two Grand Turismo games.

I think it is curious that PS3 fanboys are always saying that sales numbers do not equal quality, which I agree with, but when it comes to a comparison between Forza and Grand Turismo you suddenly have all these people comparing the sales of the two games and implying that because GT has had higher sales it somehow proves it is a better game. Sorry, but there is no way in hell that Rage is going to be exclusive to the PS3. It is multi-platform and despite what Carmack said (to get Microsoft to reduce its fees) I would be willing to bet that it actually ends up looking a little better on the 360.
