I'm just excited for E3 in general. I am sure there is going to be great stuff announced by all the platform holders.
Yeah, a new Twisted Metal would be awesome. I'll cross my fingers.
However, I'm not really clamoring for any of the games on their list, except for maybe a new Jak and Daxter. But even then, I would still rather see Naughty Dog working on another iteration of the Uncharted series over a new Jak and Daxter.
A new Twisted Metal and Killzone 3 would have to be two of the games I am most hoping for.
If those games will look that good on the consoles they will be by far some of the best looking games on consoles. They look breathtaking. I do think Rage looks slightly better though.
I really loved Ninja Theory's work on Heavenly Sword and after seeing this trailer I am really looking forward to this game as well. Enslaved seems interesting and a little bit different than what else is out there right now.
Same could be said about any other game. I have a friend who hates the God of War games and I don't agree with him at all but he thinks they are boring and simplistic and he hates the Kratos character. Not everybody is going to agree. Just know that you are in the minority and move along. Why do you care so much if other people love it?
As for your comment about the aim in Halo, I can't say I agree. I play Killzone 2, Uncharted 2, Halo 3, Gears of War and a lot o...
It has larger environments, more advanced particle effects, motion blur, much better lighting and shadows, better textures and it all comes together to look substantially better than the previous Halo games. It's a ton of fun too, which is the most important factor.
Actually if you had actually played the game you would know that it is a pretty big improvement over the first game. The lighting, textures, explosions, and other effects are all significantly improved.
Digital Foundry wrote about many of these improvements here: http://www.eurogamer.net/ar...
It looks damn good to me.
The only reason you say that is because you are a fanboy just like him and you like to troll 360 articles. People like me who just like to play good games, regardless of what console they are on, don't enjoy shifting through all the crap that guys like you write.
I'm really looking forward to the third installment of Gears of War. I loved the first two.
This does sound great. The first LBP was such a unique and enjoyable game and the new editions and enhancements for the sequel sound amazing.
I hate mandatory installs. My harddrive is already pretty full of demos and videos and stuff and I don't like having to erase stuff that I occassionally go back to. It's a hassle.
Off topic I just wanted to say that the new N4G is nice. I am also really happy that I can use it with my PS3's browser and actually post comments, agree/disagree, and not have to worry about constantly being signed out. Good job, staff.
Alan Wake looks awesome to me. I can tell by all the reviews that the few negatives some reviewers mention would not bother me in the slightest. I will always take a well made single player game over an average game with more replay value. The quality of the experience is paramount. Alan Wake brings that quality.
I love Dead Space! Bring on part two!
I own and enjoy both consoles. Xbox 360 is great for multi-platform games, has a fantastic online service, and has some great exclusives. PS3 has some awesome exclusives of its own, lots of multi-media features, and the online service is free and pretty great as well. They both have their pros and cons. Own them both if you can. If not, just buy the one that is the best fit for YOU.
See, this is a good comment from a single console owner. I personally think owning both PS3 and 360 is the way to go, but I also realize that some people choose to only own one console, and that is fine. Owning only one console is perfectly fine, but there is no need to be negative about any competing consoles. You can be a single console owner and still be respectful of other consoles and their games.
Exactly. When GOW3 was getting positive previews nobody was throwing a hissy fit like Dirty Hairy Joystick is doing. I guess some of these guys think it's only ok to get excited about PS3 games and any positivity about an Xbox 360 game is simply not allowed.
Whatever. All I know is that Alan Wake has consistently impressed me and has been one of the games that interested me most for quite some time.
Yeah, man, owning both consoles is the way to go. I love it. That way you can play all the best games on either console.
I love the fact that you can sprint now. I know some other shooters have had it, but Halo was always so much better than most other shooters and one of the few things I wish it had that some other shooters had was sprinting. Reach's gameplay looks like FPS bliss. Just awesome.
Looks incredible. The graphics and gameplay are amazing.
Absolutely. Fierce competition between Sony and Microsoft is the best thing that could happen for gamers. They both have so much to offer.
