DLC for Heavy Rain? Is that because it didn't fit on the disc?
It seems DLC is just part of this generation of gaming. We see it on the PS3 and the 360 in almost equal degree. It's mostly just a way for the developers to earn more money off their gaming franchises. As long as it is good I don't mind DLC.

But don't you see? Many 360 fans would say that Ninja Blade and Halo Wars also deserved higher scores. I personally loved Halo Wars and thought Ninja Blade was a fun romp.
The fact remains that Ninja Blade and Halo Wars have a 68 and 82 respectively, at the same time White Knight Chronicles and MAG have a 65 and 77 respectively. So, don't you see the hypocrisy? PS3 fans called those 360 games "flops" and now they are trying to act like White Knigh...
Alan Wake is not survival horror. It's focus is not on horror, but rather on a thrilling narrative. It is really a psychological thriller with exploration and action gameplay.
You are the fool if you think Alan Wake has anything but superficial similarities to Silent Hill.
I agree with a couple people above me that Heavy Rain is a great game, but the 360 also has its own great games. If you want all the good games you need to own both consoles. I can't get God of War 3 or Heavy Rain on my 360 and I can't get Alan Wake or Halo Reach on my PS3. That is why I own them both.
God of War 3 does look awesome. The scale and the art direction brings that mythical Greek setting to life. I can't wait.
Yeah, and the 360 version doesn't look that bad either. Screenshots often look worse than the way the game will look on your HDTV.
I have played both versions and I'm telling you guys, Lens of Truth's comparison was essentially accurate.
Besides, you guys just ignore that their findings were almost exactly the same as Digital Foundry reported as well.
I can't wait until the damn game comes out. All of you who are saying the 360 version looks so much worse are going to look like complete and utter fools. Trust me.
Two people on my friends list have fixed their own 360s too, but who wants to do that? I rather just send it in and get it fixed for free.
My 360 failed once several years ago, but it has been solid ever since.
I love these kinds of articles. All they do is give PS3 fanboys the excuse to hate on the 360 and explain why they don't like the console.
I like both HD consoles personally.
What's your point with showing those screen shots? I love Uncharted and it is a great looking game, but I still think Alan Wake looks just as good or better.

I think it looks right up there with Uncharted 2. I am not going to say which one looks better because they look too different and I can't really say which one looks better for sure. I just know they are both two of the best looking games I have seen.

I don't think it makes PS3 look obsolete. Uncharted 2 and Killzone 2 are amazing looking games on the PS3. I will say that Alan Wake is among the best looking games I have seen on either console.
When games have such different styles in terms of their graphics and art design how can really even compare them? Some games excel in certain ways and other games excel in other ways. Rarely can you compare games straight across, like for like.

I used to live in the Pacific Northwest and spent a lot of time in Oregon and Washington and I can tell you they absolutely nailed the look of the region. The graphics are stunningly beautiful. It has excellent dynamic lighting and shadows. The shadow maps seem to be of a very high quality, like in this shot http://www.gamersmint.com/w... for example.

Because when you have guys like HighDefinition, Saaking, cyguration and Clownbelt in the article it automatically becomes about downplaying the game, giving it backhanded compliments, and things of that nature.

So well deserved. Uncharted 2 is simply an amazing game. Out of all the games I own on both consoles I would probably still have to say that Uncharted 2 is my favorite. Basically everything about Uncharted 2 is first rate. All of the awards and sales are well deserved.
