Thanks a lot, vulcanproject. I really think I am going to go ahead with building a PC for gaming. I am pretty technically minded and good with computers so I think I should have no problem building my own.
I don't need a monitor because I can just connect it to my HDTV. However, my tv is only 720p and I'm not able to upgrade to the 1080p set I want just yet. If I am only running the PC games at 720p that will give me more performance overhead to increase things li...
I thought the demo was pretty amazing. The graphics were outstanding and the gameplay was solid. It surpassed my expectations.
I think Uncharted 2 looks better than God of War 3 which in turn looks better than Killzone 2. In my opinion it is: Uncharted 2 > GOW3 > Killzone2.
Anyway, not a big deal, just a difference of opinion. GOW3 did look better than Uncharted 2 in certain parts, but Uncharted 2 was more consistent throughout the whole game.
I disagree with Itagaki san. Graphical techniques and technology will continue to progress.
The PS3 and 360 continue to get better looking games. Uncharted 2 was a noticeable improvement over Uncharted 1. The same can be said about Halo Reach and Gears of War 3...both of those games are clear improvements over their predecessors. And multi-platform games like Dead Space 2, Crysis 2 and Rage are a significant leap over most previous multi-platform games.
Sold means sold to retailers, because retailers are Sony's customers. That doesn't tell how many were actually sold to individual gamers.
Hey, vulcanproject, I have been interested in getting into PC gaming and I have a few questions. How much do you think I will have to spend to get reliably better performance than on the consoles? I have heard of some games like Chronicles of Riddick AODA and Assassin's Creed require a pretty powerful rig in order to get better performance than the consoles.
The other thing that bothers me is the fact that when I watch videos on youtube of PC versions of games being pla...
Conan?
How could it not include Uncharted 2?
Some of those, though, I'm not so sure about.
Judging by your agree/disagree ratio it doesn't seem that very many people put any stock in this article, so quit overreacting.
Just because there are a couple of guys that think this is plausible doesn't represent the vast majority of 360 gamers on this site.
So Hip Hop Gamer was right! /s
No, really, this is silly. Naughty Dog are a 1st party developer owned by Sony. They won't be making any games for other platforms. Besides, I am used to playing their games on the Playstation platforms.
Umm...who cares?
I couldn't even tell Halo 3 was sub-HD, so if Halo Reach has a higher resolution I'm not even worried about it.
I haven't pre-ordered yet, but I'm definitely getting it.
Why do people like you come into a 360 article and bash 360 fans? That's just lame.
BeaArthur, you are exactly right. It isn't just here on N4G, like some people claim, it is everywhere.
The fact that we can't have reasonable discussions without being attacked or fearing the loss of our bubbles is a sad commentary on the state of things in gaming. Sure, fanboyism might have a few positives, but overall it is a net negative.
Being a fan or having a preference is one thing, but actual fanboyism crosses the line into being something...
What if you just like both?
I have supported the 360 since it came out (anybody can check my past comment history), but I don't agree with you. The 360 has gradually become more and more soft.
From the cutesy avatars on the dashboard to the decline in hard core games, it definitely feels like MS is trying to make the 360 more of a casual console.
It now seems like something between the Wii and the PS3.
I do appreciate Sony's approach to exclusives and hardcore games, but I wouldn't say MS has totally checked out of hardcore games. The 360 is getting Halo Reach and Gears of War 3. It just needs more, and more diversity.
I'll just say that I doubt any other game on a single platform will sell more this year. So in that sense I don't think they are incorrect to say that it is the most anticipated game of the year.
Naw, MGS4 was great, but Uncharted 2 was so much better in my opinion.
I won't say it puts all those games to shame, the way HorsePowerr says, but it is definitely the most well rounded and polished of any of those games.
What I mean is, not only is it an incredible game experience, but the sheer amount of features and quality is unmatched. No other game combines the quality of graphics, story, characters, gameplay, multiplayer modes and co-op modes at...
Thanks again, vulcanproject, for sharing your knowledge on the subject. I have some things to figure out, but it seems very enticing.
