I don't know I skipped the vid, but the icons on screen all showed xbox buttons.

Of course maybe they were just running the PC version but configured it to use an xbox controller.

Probably running on the dev debug kit.

Although EA may be guilty of trying to tell people this is the game running on 360 when in fact it's running in the debug environment on a PC.

Either way, it doesn't look as good as Crysis 1 graphically, and the gameplay looks pretty bland too...

@Redempteur

PES is a good example, but as yet there's no Move specific version of it (although I hope we get something like the Wii version in terms of controls).

Taking PES as an example - let's assume it had Move support similar to the Wii. You could then only have 3 players at most using the Move controls. I base this on the requirement that each player have a PS Move and a subcontroller (or dual shock). As a result each person is using 2 Bluetooth...

I think it's the PC "fanboys" who want to make Crysis into a ground breaking revolutionary game (that it isn't) given it is a PC exclusive.

Well when it comes to consumer products, not all publicity is good publicity.

In Europe Skoda cars are pretty nice now, but their reputation from the early years still means they're viewed with disdain.

Kinect is going through a difficult pre-Natal period (pun intended). The problem now is that no matter how much MS manage to fix it up, the damage is done - everyone has the same opinion that it is broken tech and MS seem powerless to stop the bad articles...

Well it's a somewhat misleading title AGAIN....

The guy basically says that gamers aren't keen on talking about the tech specs - what they want is the control system to connect them to the game. If that is achieved by accuracy and low reponse times that's fine, but accuracy and low response times aren't the goal, they're just a mechanism to achieve connection to the game.

It's really unlike N4G to have a flamebait title to a totally in...

Actually there was far too little Kinect than there needed to be. What we saw was a ton of video, with people trying to mime to it.

What we would have liked to have seen for a product hitting stores in 4 months, was the product working.

I think there's no doubt MS made a giant miscalculation at this E3 - the question isn't whether they lost E3, but whether they've just killed the 360 product line.

One small difference GTGuy - the PS Move works, while Kinect clearly doesn't....

I suppose you'll be lucky to get 4 people who want to play with Kinect at the same time hehe.

As for support. Kinect is 2 as we now know - in fact 2 standing people to be specific.

The PS3 can handle 7 bluetooth devices, however I've only seen mention of up to 4 players. I suspect the PS3 limit depends on the game - if the game can be played with a si...

Boom Blox was a quite fun game, hampered by poor Wii graphics and also the lack of proper 3d control.

It was so irritating not to be able to control the depth of your blox accurately (coupled with the usual Wiimote twitchiness).

Hopefully, PS Move will solve both of those problems....

Ok it wasn't terrible but it also wasn't a great game to play.

That article spends the first half page whining about the requirements - well that's an aspect of PC gaming we all deal with and given that Crysis looked nice even with reduced settings shouldn't be held against it.

However, it is fair to say that while Crytek delivered a nice engine, the game itself wasn't the best use of it. It was pretty easy to play through the whole thing ...

Really weird articles and opinions about this.

Just try Resi 4 or Metroid on Wii - you can play them for hours, they're comfortable to play, accurate, fast smooth. In fact better than using a regular controller. That's on Wii with problems with it's tracking, poor graphics and wires between the nunchuk and wiimote which can be annoying.

I don't see why, from waht I've seen of Move, it should not be at least as good and probably much better...

Now it's clear how limited Kinect is, it's obvious it cannot support those "core" style games in any meaningful way.

I am surprised that MS are not pushing to Kinect enabled games with those big names you mentioned - Halo Dance, Fable Animal Farm or whatever. They aren't - I suppose MS can't because most of the games are developed by 3rd parties so MS has no control over them.

Exclusives make console gaming worthwhile - I'm all in favor.

The more for Wii and PS3 the better - shame MS let everyone down.... I think they're hoping to kill console gaming by only running multiplats and forcing a bidding war over DLC.

EDIT : Whatever happened to MS LBP killer? Did it get a release or was it trampled under the stampede to casual gaming? Just don't hear anything about it now.

Probably best - PS3 seems to be in short supply but I think there'll be plenty of 360s to go around later this year.

from the vids so far of Move based multiplayer, the Move player doesn't have much to do.

I think the most likely use of Move is for the level designs where I think it will prove much better than Dualshock use. However, I also saw a vid from MM that they're now including Mouse support in the level designer so Move could get overhauled by that for anyone serious about their work....

Good, thing, I wish Mouse support was more prevalent on PS3 given it ha...

You don't have to wait it can be simulated right now (in fact you may only get the option to simulate it since Fable 3 doesn't include Kinect support strangely).

Anywho, on to the simulation.

a) Clear a space in your room
b) Stand in front of your TV for 3 hours

OK done - wasn't that fun?

I think you should read the article - as Brooker points out, buttons work well and aren't subject to any technical limitations for 99% of uses. Sci Fi likes to use voice activation since it allows the character to have dialog with the audience, rather than boring over the shoulder shots of keyboards and monitors.

In everyday use, buttons are efficient, simple and cheap. Short lived Novelty techs like Kinect are there to hoover up spare cash but not adequate replacements f...

Fall 2010? Did you mean 2011? I think they said at E3 no release this year (I got the impression they were aiming for March/April 2011....).

That could be one way in which this TM really innovates - an arena creator. The graphical fidelity would understandably take a back seat.... AFAIK that's not planned though.

Yeah graphically it looked a little basic - seemed like the lighting hadn't been fully implemented.

I think though, that to keep the action fast, and to have a big enough arena space, this isn't going to be a graphical powerhouse - then again none of the TM have really been standard setters graphically...

I did wonder as I watched it whether this will be a full BR release or a PSN download.... I imagine BR given the presentation at E3, but graphically...
