that M/18 rated games should not be played/viewed by children any more than pornographic or violent movies should be viewed by them.
If children get access to this material then the parents are primarily to blame.
Hopefully these studies will lead to the legal enforcement of age ratings on games and ensure that those who give children access to inappropriate material are prosecuted.
The danger is that these reports simply lead to all games being censored...
Use sackboy in a rocket pack.
Put the rocket pack on a move-able platform in the background and then as you fly around the platform follows you.
To get the ship to follow you, you make it a creature with the follow brain setting and high speed.
Sackboy + grabbable sponge + hover pack all go on rear level. Space background plates come next, and then ship animal and enemies in foreground level.
Something along those lines should work I think. ...
1) Well, the materials to make a car cost a lot of money. The materials to make software are very small - just the cost to make a new DVD from a master. Hence the software materials = small amount, while a car's materials = very high. When you resale a car you are selling the materials - the use of the cars design but not the car's design in itself. With software you are *not* selling the materials since they cost very little - you are selling your license to use the software and that is not ...
Used games = no revenue to the game company at all. As far as they're concerned you are not their customer.
r.
When you buy a game, or any software, you purchase a license to use that software.
If you read the license you'll see that you purchase the software for your personal use and that the license is not transferrable.
The disc you buy - CD/DVD/BD costs very little - a tiny percentage of the cost of a game for example.
The extra cost is the cost of the license.
So when you take your "used game" disc into the store to trade it in...
So many reviews, so many high scores for LBP. I'm just not sure about it's AAA status - just seems like AAA isn't quite enough!!
LBP seems to be steamrollering its way through gaming I think it *could* be the first game to deserve AAAA status!
Heh - well, good game anywho ;)

Just like counterstrike, yes, SOCOM can turn into a campfest if the team is broken - just needs one or two lone wolves, the team starts to fail, and everyone starts to sit back and not try to achieve the objective and then they lose.
Either way, the team that functions better wins (for the most part) in this game and a big part of that is the excellent sound/chat modelling that is unique to SOCOM.
As it is, while there are known problems, personally I play every day ...
One thing the review didn't really emphasise enough is that the basic SOCOM gameplay is fun.
SOCOM is limited, yes. It doesn't have the nicest set of online features (or to put it another way, not everything is copied from Xbox Live). It doesn't have a mass of maps (well it only came out 2 weeks ago). There's no easy features for friend following. Etc etc - lots of little useability features that aren't there.
But the basic misson structure and gameplay is fun and th...
If you aspire to that then be prepared for an uphill struggle. However for anyone of normal or better intelligence and dexterity, it should be easy enough to knock something up - part of the fun of LBP creation is seeing what you end up with rather than dogmatically following some design you had in mind.
Have a theme for sure - but no need to bury yourself in design and forget the fun part.
That's what we were saying - for $60CDN you got a headset and a game.
The headset is supposed to be $50 by itself - so the game cost you $10 (ok so the bundling doesn't work that way but hopefully you understand our point).
The price isn't the point - the game is still supposed to work as advertised regardless of its price - I guess we're just saying that SOCOM is currently a budget release, and so perhaps our expectations of it should be a little lower too (not real...
Why did you buy it for $60? SOCOM MSRP is less than that....
Presumably you got the headset bundle - the headset alone is $40 so in effect you bought the game for $20
They gave me a beta key :P
But this does seem like a weak reason. If they're so concerned then review it like an MMO with a re-review in a month.
Then again so what, LBP has done enough to justify it's hype and more on top. People looking at it will see that and buy it regardless of any poor reviews.
Then again, it's worth remembering that thus far LBP hasn't had any bad reviews even from sites with something of a history for harsh marking of PS3 exclusi...
Make level based on his comments - hehe.
Perhaps hitting him over the head with all the great games he's slammed hehe.
Apple have a long tradition of keeping Apple stuff proprietary. They don't like Blu-Ray because they don't control it - the market does.
Only a 5/5 - EPIC FAIL
Halo/GOW FTW!!111!!!!11

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ This is a joke btw!
Suddenly they have a crystal ball and all...
Fact is, while a console has games people want to play it'll sell - and when it sells, devs will make games for it. PS3 is already past the point where it is viable for devs to make games.
All this crap about development complexity was raised for the PS2 vs Xbox and here it is again. The hump is already cleared - EA are cranking out their multi-plat yearly updates and Ubi are doing the same.
And there is the s...
I think this is probably a more accurate score than the 9s we've seen elsewhere.
Almost tempted to cancel my pre-order even if it is very cheap.
LOL at the reviewer taking a swipe at Xbox reliability too - whiney little runt :P
Is that LBP is the first game so far this gen to push boundaries to this extent and succeed. Regardless of whether LBP is to someone's taste or not, it is a technical achievement which has no equal this gen on console.
Other games this gen have received 10s from the same of the websites now giving LBP less than 10 - that's what is confusing to people.
I don't think anyone minds that LBP is getting 9/10s = they mind that other worse games have been given 10/10s. I gue...
Seems strange that some (not necessarily this website - just talking general here) are happy to throw high scores around to FPS's and other "hardcore" gamers games - you know the ones your grandparents or kids can't/won't play and never question the diffculty or content.
Here we have a game which can potentially give something to both the hardcore and the casual gamer to the extent they'll both love it for different reasons, and yet it gets marked down for being too com...
1) When developers are making multi-plat games they do their best to make the games look and play *identical*. Given this - there is literally no point in comparing the two - the differences will be so small as to be irrelevant for simultaneous multi-plat releases. What you're seeing aren't designed in differences or compromises - you're just looking at the difference between Nvidia and ATI graphics processing.
2) While the Xbox vs PS3 graphically are whatever, in my case I prefe...
