I think if, these days, you don't have some PC gaming time then you can't call yourself a gamer.... And I don't believe cost is a true barrier to PC gaming anymore but I'm sure that old line will get used again.
Gamers go where the games are, and while the PC has taken a battering, it is still the home of many excellent games - ones which are simply impossible on the current crop of consoles.

Well, for car sim fans there is a problem of precedent since the Forza series has always released with various physics bugs and terrible damage simulation, and until this version, GT has always felt a bilt stilted in some gameplay situations.
I guess we're hoping GT5 will raise the bar.... Hopefully it will get fixed, spamming youtube probably doesn't help but who knows - maybe a PD dev will see it and go tweak a line of code somewhere.

But the Quantum Theory demo IS just a demo - most people don't bother stating obvious points all the time, they assume most other normal folk understand reality too.
AFAIK there were no "bugs" in the QT demo, it was just a bland thing to play. Bugs get fixed, gameplay doesn't.
I doubt this kind of thing will get fixed before release, even so, GT5 is fun to play, QT, well isn't. So uh yeah, QT isn't great, GT5 is....

I think this is deliberate - GT5 now has a Skate style tricking mode ;) In the rest of that video he grinds the rail around the track for a while before kick flipping into the pit lane. SICK!

I think the heat issue with this is down to a programming error since this isn't a cutting edge game from a graphical standpoint. Nice but definitely not cutting edge.
Even average PC specs like yours can cope with it comfortably.

Best get your trampoline out - the page with the track listing listing also includes reference to a track editor....
Standard cars were already confirmed just after E3 to have interiors (see GT5 Prologue for examples), and the 70 tracks is really 70 tracks since there is a big list from GT4 and GT Mobile mixed with a set of new courses.

The problem is that GT is more realistic than most and has sold very widely (how many is it for the GT series - 50m+ now?). PGR, Blur etc etc aren't taken seriously - GT is.
So, if in GT, the latest and greatest Ferrari for example, seems to come off worse when hitting an Aston Martin, enthusiasts will conclude that PD has done it's homework and there is some deficiency in the car. That's great for exotics/sports cars that most will ...
