*spoilers*
I guess it's possible that you can't kill Taggart. I didn't actually try to kill him once I got back stage, so maybe there is something preventing you from doing so.
I agree. I'd give it 8/10, maybe more.
However, I also agree with the reviewers two big issues. The AI *is* pretty bad at times. How bad probably depends on how you play the game, but it does feel unpolished in that regard.
I also agree regarding the ending(s)...

Being presented with four big red buttons at the end, basically saying, "which ending would you like, 1, 2, 3 or 4?" - That was a ...
Makes sense to me. If your kid plays an excessive amount of games you're probably not a very good parent.
Gotta agree with Blacktric on this one.
I understand where you're coming from but, in the Batman universe, the villains are almost as important as Batman himself. On the surface it seems like it'd be easy to think "Awesome! Rocksteady is putting in so much content! This is fantastic!" -- the problem though is that the more they cram in there the less confidence I have that they'll flesh out these characters in such a way that they're still interestin...
Cpt_kitten, you're an idiot.
"but there is a difference between killing drug addicts in grand theft auto and an innocent kid"
Oh? What about killing cops in GTA? Innocent bystanders on the street? What about all the other games where killing innocents is possible? Why is it ok to kill one group or class of people and not another? How is virtually murdering a child any different than virtually murdering any other person?
"i ...
Now if he'd only start stealing videos from somebody with talent and a clue maybe he'd not suck so much.
Ok... lemme start by saying I absolutely love the original game and I like the latest one *almost* as much. It's a fine addition to the universe. Eidos knocked it out of the park.
1) I agree. That's actually one of the first things I tried to do and was surprised at its exclusion from this version of the game. It would have been nice to have. That said though, I can't say it detracted *that* much from the game, and after the first hour, I didn't miss it one bi...
I can't wait to customize my very own racing porch. I wonder if they'll include a screened in customization option and if that will make it go faster or not.
Agreed. Infinity Blade was a glorified tech demo. Barely qualified as a game.
Seriously, read the article before whining about something completely unrelated.
I'd call Deus Ex one of my favorite games of all time without hesitation... but wow... being reminded just how bad the voice acting really was back then is a shock. "What a shame", as JC would say.
Also, "a bomb's a bad choice for close range combat" - rofltastic.
The most astounding thing about this to me is also the most subtle thing...
When Bungie made Halo they had plastered the Marathon logo all over the game in various places, including, among other things, the side of the Pillar of Autumn and the centered blue light of Guilty Spark.
This video (and another before it that showed the Pillar of Autumn) has removed the Marathon logo from GS and replaced it with something similar but different.

I haven't played the game yet (should arrive any day now), but even the most glowing reviews have pointed to shortcomings similar to those you mention. The most common I've seen (other than the oft mentioned boss battles) is in regards to the jarring transitions from third to first person. However most of the reviews I've seen have also indicated that, despite those flaws, the game shines anyway.
Have those issues really been a deal breaker for you? If so, that...
"I think it is good to let them work out the horse armor prices before it comes to the PS3." <-- Hilarity.
Somebody is wearing his Comedy Cape +2.
Because it looks totally awesome. I mean, just look at it!!
You can stand on switches!!
And there's elevators!!
But in all seriousness, is anyone supposed to care after having seen that trailer? Cause really that looked pretty lame.
As for the headline: "Single-player games 'gone in 3 years'" - uhm... no, not a chance.
However, ignoring the headline and evaluating the likelihood of Cerny's predictions based on what he *actually* said (as can be seen by reading the article instead of only the headline) you'd see that he's simply saying that games 3 years from now, if they do not have some socially connective experience tied in to them, will be seen as lacking and behind the t...
I totally understand your point... but you do realize that Cole is an electrified vampire, right? If anything he's *more* sparkly.
Somebody woke up on the witty side of the bed this morning.
Hard to tell given the website has no date on it. However, if you actually have a forum account with them you can try to log in and see what happens. Easiest way to check.
As an aside, I hate it when websites don't date their articles. It should be a crime.
Can't blame you for wanting to hold off for a great deal, but I'd argue this is *already* a great deal. Even at the $55 I picked it up for I feel it was more than worth it. I can't believe it's taken such a dramatic price cut so early.
