Yeah, it's a really cool feature, I don't know that I'd go so far as to say it makes "PSN superior to LIVE" though.
Personally the one feature I think could be better utilized is Home integration. As it stands right now, I think Home is little more than a mediocre distraction. It bugs me more than any other feature about the PS3/PSN though because of all the potential it has that is going unrealized. When people criticize it, Sony generally says something about how they...
Agreed. Every time I see a new video for this game, *especially* those fantastic narrated ones, I get more excited. I've always been a big fan of westerns and felt they've been sadly under represented in gaming. I'm just glad to see that Red Dead Redemption is looking so damn good. Here's hoping it's an overwhelming success.
If only they were simply "catchy" it wouldn't be a problem. HHGs titles are misleading at best, more often they are flat out lies.
This whole "you clicked on it so you secretly like it" argument doesn't hold any water. I wonder if this is what goes through HHGs head whenever he gets hits. It seems he'll take any attention whether it's positive or negative, just so long as somebody is talking about him.
To be clear, I didn't follow the link to his site, I just came here to vote down idiots like yourself that support him. If you like HHG so much just add his site to those you regularly visit and keep...
What exactly has he "achieved" in his life that is so amazing I should kneel down and kiss his ass? He's a clown with a video camera. If you think uploading a video to the internet is some great "achievement" then you really need to get some perspective in your life.
I think the disagrees are because you said "another good show" as if HHG has ever had even a single good show.
And if you had any common sense you'd understand that it's a misleading and sensationalist title designed to do nothing but draw negative attention.
If game quality is the criteria for the #1 position being discussed here, then Activision never occupied the #1 spot for EA to take.
Yeah, they're all equally bad. XBL only *seems* worse because every idiot has a headset.
Here here! Well said sir.
I cannot believe I'm going to defend Jim Sterling, but there are two very key differences between Jim Sterling and HHG...
1) Sterling states his opinion (no matter how incredibly ridiculous it may be) and that's it. He does not make up stories or pretend to know things he doesn't know. In short, he doesn't lie.
In contrast, HHG constantly acts like he has some kind of inside information that he *does not have*, he's always making comments about some developer or anot...
That gave me a good laugh. +1 to you sir.
Oh come off it. It does not look that bad. I'll agree it's not the best looking game ever, probably not even the best looking game on the 360, but it looks pretty damn good and you know it. I think we've all seen much better shots from Alan Wake in the past though, so I don't know that I'd jump to any conclusions based on these.
The sad truth is that you're probably spot on with that assessment.
The bottom line is it's all marketing and sales talking points that they feel they can get away with, no matter how untrue any of the statements happen to be. As far as I'm aware Nintendo was the first, not with the Wii, but with the Power Glove in the 80s. I suppose it's possible somebody did it before them, but it sure as hell wasn't Sony.
In any case, why would anyone in their right mind want to t...
And Nintendo had the Power Glove way back in the late 80s, over 20 years ago. In fact, thinking back on it, I'm really surprised this motion control craze didn't begin 15+ years ago.
Ok. So Crytek spends the last two weeks dropping massive loads of crap on every major developer and franchise they can think of and yet somehow WE are the disrespectful ones?!
WTF? These guys are looney.
Fantastic. I suppose this means I can put away my decoder ring.
Good catch. I didn't realize I had misheard the N as M.
Going off the assumption that ZZZ = WWW, that would mean each letter mentioned is 3 places after the letter that was meant, giving us ZZZ JMQRYD3 FRP = www.gjnova3.com (or perhaps 3 is 0? or 6? or 9? I dunno, I tried 0-9 and none worked). MOD comes out to be JLA which is equally meaningless to me.
Perhaps ZZZ != WWW, but given that FRP *does* correspond to COM, following that method, it seems likely that it's correct. Maybe I just missed something?
Just for me personally, my favorite exclusives would be (edit: I of course mean *console* exclusives, try not to get your panties in a twist)...
PS3:
Uncharted 1 & 2
LittleBigPlanet
Demon's Souls
Heavy Rain
and really looking forward to The Last Guardian
360:
Halo 3
Gears 1 & 2
Mass Effect 1 & 2
and really looking forward to Alan Wake
If I really had to pick a favorite though, I think I'd ...
Sorry man, you lose. There are a whole lot of things that every game is required to support in order to meet approval. Among those items are custom soundtracks and being Live Aware. MS forces this on the developers because of all the criticism they received in the original XBox days when so very few games supported custom soundtracks and/or live awareness, among other functions.
