Wait! Where's the accessory port on the top?? How am I going to use all those accessories that... never, um, came out? I'm still baffled as to what it's for and seeing how it has been removed on the redesign, I suppose we'll never find out.
My suggestion is to take all the money you save from not having to buy games because of PS+ and buy a bigger card. I had an 8gb and that soon proved to be too small, so I sucked it up and bought the 32gb. It really does make a big difference.
From someone who bought his at launch, just buy one. If you love games, buy one. And, you can Skype with it and not have to pay for Xbox Live Gold.

But the thing is it's not a timed exclusive for the One. It will also be coming out on the Xbox 360 as well as the PC. So if you have your 360 and want to pick up this game, you can just buy it for $60 or you can spend $560 to play a slightly better looking version.
Regardless, it seems like it's going to be a popular game. Which is hilarious because Microsoft got lot of flak for having a console that had to be connected to the internet to function, and now the only game...
Sony did not have a good start with the PS3. They came out a year later with a console that was significantly more expensive than the Xbox and had a serious problem with its game library. Multi-platform games usually look better on the Xbox because it was easier to develop for. In the US, Xbox consistently outsells the PS3. And yet, after 7 years, the PS3 has outsold Xbox globally. That's one hell of a comeback.
It'll be interesting to see how things turn out when they a...
So people who wait hours in line just to play a few minutes of the game love it, but people who spend a lot of time on Twitter prefer Titanfall. Personally I'm not that big into multiplayer, so I'd prefer whichever game has the better single player campaign.
There was also big news about how much they were going to spend marketing Windows Phone (and they do put out a lot of ads for it) but you don't see that setting the world on fire.
And from the Sony side, there was a lot of hype about how much they were going to spend marketing the Vita, and again, not that big of a response.
The biggest factor is going to be availability. Whichever side can produce the most units and get them onto store shelves will have an advantage. S...
So they blur out a ps3 but not the controller and there is clearly a ps4 controller in the foreground. And this twitter comment doesn't deny anything.
No offense to Europe, but neither company gave Gamescom a lot of effort. Microsoft made most of their big announcements at E3, and Sony is holding back for the Tokyo Games Show. Shuhei Yoshida made a comment after E3 in regards to the two remaining shows that TGS was going to be really exciting this year. So look for that.
Sony does get an edge for at least announcing something newsworthy, ie the release date. I think Microsoft might hold back because their date is going to be lat...
I will throw my hat in the ring and guess this is going to be a PS4 game and it will be revealed at the Tokyo Game Show as being released in early 2014. This is when the gaming press will put the nail in the coffin for the xbox one. There will be story after story about how TLG will be game of the year and suddenly all those xbox exclusives shown at e3 will be forgotten about. In fact I want to say that Sony has yet to announce any of their killer launch window games. I think the ones they ha...
And sadly 108 gold trophies would get you nothing. The first item up for bid is already over 300. It's a great idea but meaningless to players like myself whose gold trophy count hovers around 100.
Don't even get me started on the glitches. They were everywhere. The worse one for me was meeting a new character, spending 15 minutes talking with him then ten seconds later he acted like I had never met him. I had to go through everything all over again. How does such a glitchy game make so many people's game of the year list?
The Kinect costs almost as much as the console itself? And that is why they won't un-bundle it from the system. The amount of money that went into that thing with R&D has to be astronomical and they need to get their money's worth from it.
I feel like I'm the only person who didn't like the Walking Dead Game. Maybe it's because I had never seen the show, but the game was just really long and tedious. There really wasn't much in terms of gameplay, and the story wasn't all that. Then I'd get frustrated when there would be some tense situation where Lee had to find something because walkers were approaching, but then he just slowly walks up to Clementine and calmly asks, "How you holdin' up?&quo...
Companies that care about profit over their customers is a company that is playing the short game and will suffer in the long run. Companies care about their customers because they understand that fostering a good relationship with them will earn them repeat business. It's not always about profit. It's the reason why businesses give money to charities or sponsor a local little league team. Those are surely not profitable ventures, but they earn goodwill.
But let's no...
I think this should settle the debate on whether he was forced out or not. Microsoft was taken by surprise on this one and the fact they did not have a successor ready only points to that. They should have had at the very least a temporary replacement to oversee the team who is not the CEO of all of Microsoft. Phil Harrison, the VP wasn't even brought up to take over temporarily? I thought that is what the VP was for?
So why did Mattrick leave? He was slated for a promotion d...
I honestly don't think he was forced out. If he was going to be asked to leave, it would have been done in the Steven Sinofsky style and he would leave after the product shipped. Screwing with the executive team this close to launch is not a good idea, no matter how poorly he was communicating.
Another reason I think he wasn't let go is that the rumors about Microsoft's restructuring was going to have him in a more prominent role. He was on the short list of execs who...
I like how he concludes with "We know Max isn't for everyone, but we hope you use it.". It's nice to know they know it's hokey and kind of stupid, but what the hell, it can't hurt.
What I want is to be able to pick a show based on show length. So I can say, "I want an action-drama tv show that is an hour long." Or, I'm looking for a comedy movie no longer than 90 minutes. That's what would help me out the most.
I've got one word for why this thing is going to be awesome and needs to come to the States. Gaikai. When Gaikai comes to the Vita, it will come to VitaTV, which means that for $99 you can have a device that will stream-play classic PS3 games, along with Vita, PSP, and PS1 games.
It also means that I can play non-cross buy games on the big screen. With this, I wouldn't have to buy games like Dragon's Crown twice if I wanted the big screen experience. I'm also won...
