That baffled me as well. Maybe he wants Exciter-bike to be on it.
I have a strong suspicion that all these investors that are pumping up Nintendo's stock right now are not aware that Pokemon isn't fully owned by Nintendo. Everyone assumes it's a Nintendo game, but only partially.
Having just finished Uncharted 4, I don't think it's nearly as good as people are making it out to be. I love the Uncharted series, and while I really enjoyed the story, the gameplay fell really flat. There was way too much climbing and sliding. The gun battles popped up in spurts and never felt meaningful. It was very pretty and a good end to the series, but UC2 and Golden Abyss were both better games.
If it's anything like the PS4/Vita Cross-buy, it will be an expectation. God help the poor studio that makes the same version of a game for both but doesn't make it Cross-buy. They get hammered by gamers. Oddworld didn't want New n' Tasty to be Cross-buy, but they got taken to town for their decision and eventually changed their policy. So they took time and resources to make two versions of the game, but can only sell one while giving the other away for free. Gamers are a ver...
That makes it even worse. Now devs are going to be expected to make a PC version and an XB1 version, which previously they would have sold separately (and made money on both). Now the expectation is that they make both versions but give one away for free.
This is one of those moves that looks like a great idea at first, but down the road proves to be a disaster. It's like Cross-buy with the Vita all over again. It starts off as a nice bonus for a few games, but then it becomes an expectation. Gamers will get pissed when a game isn't "play anywhere." Then you have a situation where a dev has to make their game free to PC users if they buy the XB1 version... and basically do more work for less money.
2 of his points were it was smaller than the original and has a 2TB harddrive (available only for a limited time). Yet the Xbox S is still bigger than the PS4, and I have a 2TB drive in my PS4 because they let you swap out the drives. So really, he should just stick with what he already owns.
Of course video games are to blame. They're to blame for everything. You need to understand that people have no self control and that there was this group of people playing them some MW2 and said, "Hey. Let's blow the crap out of an airport!" Then they all high-fived each other, maybe tea-bagged a buddy who passed out from all the OverCharge and Mountain Dew they'd been drinking. I know from my personal experience, nothing gets me to do extreme acts of violence more than...
E3 2013: Sony delivers what fans want versus Microsoft's bold view of the future. We saw how that one played out.
When games come out only for PS4/Vita, they're not exclusives but are branded "Only on PlayStation." They're PlayStation exclusives. And I think that's why Sony had a better showing this E3 than Microsoft. They gave a rather strong statement for why you should want a PS4. Want to play Last Guardian? Only on PS4. God of War? Only on PS...
It's spelled "schade" not shade. Throwing shade means to block light.
So the MS games will be out before the Scorpio and not take advantage of the new system's specs? My thinking is that the only place to get the PS4 games is on a PS4 system while MS said all their games will also be coming to the PC.
This is one of those articles that just begs you to crack your knuckles and start commenting on.
I don't think Scorpio stole Sony's thunder, and after watching game after game after game at Sony's conference which can only be available on the PS4, I suddenly forgot about all the excitement I had for Xbox earlier in the day.
The problem that Microsoft is going to have is that in addition to announcing a super-powerful console (which won't r...
That was the one line that bothered me too. The PS4 is powerful enough for VR. Is it the most powerful VR machine in the world? No. Both Oculus and Vive require more, but that doesn't mean the PS4 can't produce an amazing experience.
Winning E3 means everything, despite the people who are trying to say it's not important. It actually is still very important. And by winning, that means building up the most excitement/anticipation/hype for your products. Sony has been very good at doing that the last few years and the results speak for themselves. Nintendo decided they didn't need E3 and instead of people being excited or their products, they've moved on. Their problem is that they revealed the existence of a ne...
I'm probably the one person who did not like Last of Us: Left Behind. Some people argue that they wanted it without any shooting, but the parts where you shoot were the only interesting ones. Slowly walking around an old mall is not interesting to me. The fun in video games is in being challenged and interacting with the content on the screen. None of that happens during those moments in Left Behind. By the time it was over, I was extremely let down and slightly pissed that I bought it.
Wii U is a bad console that has some really good games. It suffered from a muffed launch and bad marketing, but in the end it was just a system that people didn't want.
But then they would be the haters and thus hate themselves. You should never hate yourself.
In many ways, the SEGA Genesis never left.
I read his tweet and my first thought was about what a hypocritical comment it was. Just let these kids have their fun. Why does everything have to have a label? It wasn't sexist.
The Sega one has been around for years, and I've owned one for years. The only thing that seems to change is the included games list gets tweaked every now and then. I think this one adds Mortal Kombat but drops Ecco 2 or something. Personally, I really enjoy the device. People complain about the audio quality (which I've never noticed) and the wireless controllers aren't great, but you do have the option to used wired ones and play your own cartridges. That's what I use it fo...
