When was the last time Midway made a half decent game for PC? I don't think they have any skill for it. If they are anything like Ubisoft they will release it without any mouse support and try to make you use a game pad. In which case your just better of buying it for your console. I also think Midway is talking out of their @$$ when it comes to the PC requirements. Nvidia 7800 and ATI x1300 are on two different sides of the DX9 video card spectrum with the x1300 being low-cost mainstream and...
I wouln't say ID's engine is better looking, just better suited to make big games. Either way ID still has yet to prove that they can make a really good game, they haven't made any in recent history. That's including Doom 3 and Quake 4.
I don't care as long as it's done right to resemble real advertising and not haphazardly pasted everywhere.
I hate sports games, soccer being first among them.
Although I'm by no means a 360 fan, I completely agree with you. This is just another example of a good article made bad by adding a fanboy title.
No, the real test for Microsoft now is how many XBox 360's can it sell in excess of the 10 million original Xbox owners who migrated to 360 when MS "put down" the Xbox. The question is...How much more market share can they capture this generation?
Was this article already posted? If not it was only written 3 days ago.
I think this game sets itself apart somewhat by being the first co-op focus game.
I think it has more to do with the Japanese geared games that have released recently or are yet to be released. The Pron could have something to do with it also. Japanese people are the most sexually repressed people in the world.
I think this article was pretty fair. If the manufacturers would actually take note, many of these problems could be fixed.
As good as always. I notice two of the players are taking cover against the pylons. There hasn't really been any talk about the cover system, and I'm interested to see how it works.
I think Sony could have waited another year to launch PS3, it would have had a much more impressive line up and it wouldn't have been such a long wait for the good games to come down the pipe. PS2's are still selling a hell of alot better than either system anyway.
On Topic: Halo is no better or worse than most shooters out now. In it's favor it's story is more Epic in scope than most. Hopefully it will look a little better when it come out. If it's really good I'll grab it wh...
So, I've got some time to save up for my DX10 card and maybe a little bit more Ram.
It's almost impossible to be a one platform gamer. There's always a game somewhere else that your going to want.
How is that innovative? It's been around forever.
I think Bioshock has an edge on Mass Effect, just in terms of shear innovation. While Mass Effect may look better, underneath it's still just another RPG in the vein of KOTOR and Jade Empire with a little 3rd Person shooter tossed in the mix.
Update: If you're going to disagree with me at least say why. Lets hear some facts.
I prefer mags that thoroughly detail the games they review, and not just give them rubber stamp ratings like OXM.
The graphics are a little bland, but I like the alternate-reality plot.
It's a plot element for god's sake. Sorry, they didn't want to make a game about saving a princess or collecting bananas.
The breasts are partially blurred to make them appropriate.
