This is a 3rd party developed game. Developers don't pay Microsoft so that they can build games for the Windows based platform, and MS gets no percentage of the PC software sales. That is all split between developer and publisher.
Do you even know the origin of "pwned"? It was simply a typographical error when PC gamers were playing online and they would try to type the word "owned", but missed the "O" and hit "P" instead. It happened so often that the word "pwned" just caught on. Also your whole Geek ripping on other Geeks thing is a bit redundant.
Neither have I, but I'd like to try it out. I think there is a local group that sets them up near me. I just worry about PC compatibility issues, especially with Vista.
Overpriced piece of crap. With Alienware you pay and extra thousand dollars just for the shinny case.
Why would he play Gears? He's a PC gamer last time I checked. Most big money tournaments are PC centric, aren't they?
I believe he comes to Europe often to compete in tournaments. All the games you listed are team-games. You can't really do deathmatch in any of them.
When was the last time you made $100,000 a year in tournament prize money?
What is the author's proximity to the tragedy? I hope that he can rid himself of his fears. If VT has taught us anything it is that the people that tell us that we cannot or should not protect ourselves at times can not or will not defend us. We should all start taking our own personal protection more seriously. No one is more responsible for protecting your life than you.
Neither of these sites are credible on their own and the 4 million preoders are never verified. Well now MS has verified a number and it's not 4 million.
Stupid Spammer.
This is the kind of thing that turns games into vapor-ware. I would think under no circumstances could SK steal UE3 engine code and use it to build there own engine. I think Epic hold alot more ground in this lawsuit. I think SK will wind up having to pay Epic and possibly have whatever modified UE3 engine they have created taken from them.
I would rather have a Critical Review Board give awards, because when you involve the public they are just going to spam for their console.
And I don't know about Too Human, but Mass Effect will eventually come to the PC. Just like both the KOTOR games and Jade Empire.
I'd say Xbox360 is pretty much "PC Gaming Light", it's for people who don't have enough money or a uninterested in gaming on a PC.
No one is disputing the fact that Halo 3 will be another "Halo Cash Cow". Were just poking fun at the discrepency between the pre-order numbers posted by users and offical pre-orders. 7 million pre-orders would just be insane. That would mean roughly 70% of all Xbox360 owners preordered it. Which is highly unlikely.
I guess you could say that consoles have an advantage over PC's as far a renting goes. You don't rent PC games, it's buy or no buy.
Who are we supposed to believe a site with the name "fanboy" in it or Microsoft? I know it's like choosing between two evils, but I'll go with Microsoft on this one.
Well, since I only own a PS3 it's a nobrainer. I really need a game like this. I've beaten all my other PS3 games, and it's cool to have an open ended game that you can just keep playing.
Did you play GOW 2? Boobies were running rampant in that game and it didn't get an AO rating.
PC to 360 Crossplatform play is less likely because Epic doesn't want to use Live Anywhere for it's PC version of UT3, which is a requirement for playing PC to 360. They may be willing to work within constraints when they are developing games for Xbox360, but when there are doing a PC game they aren't going to deal with MS's control freak attitude.
