This isn't Microsoft's game, it belongs to 2K and Irrational games. They only way for MS to profit is if someone buys a console in order to get this game.
Sitting 10 feet away from a 52" or sitting 1" away from a 22", it's all the same, display-wise. On PC's though I'll have a better control scheme, mods, and better graphics.
I like that we're getting reviews a little before the actuall release, so you know what to expect if you buy on release day.
9 million gamers on World of Warcraft alone. Think what you want.
This is probably true for games made by Developers who use consoles as their primary platform, but I don't think this is true for primarily Pc developers. Part of developing a PC-first game is that you have to optimise it so that it is compatible with lesser hardware(older computers, consoles) while still making the best possible game fully utilizing the newest hardware and features. I have full faith in developers like Epic, Valve, and Crytek to keep pushing the PC envelope.
Definite buy for my PC, never buy a shooter on a console if you have an option.
Because epileptic people know the risks associated with watching movies, playing games, ect...(anything with flashing lights), not to mention the fact that every game manual has a warning, ususally on the inside of the front cover. God, if we keep trying to idiot-proof the world, the only people fit to live here will be idiots.
It's nice to know that if you're already a PC gamer, you'll never have to buy an X-box360.
There is nothing financial about games for Windows. If anything MS would be paying developers to put the branding on the game. GFW just means that the devs incorporated stuff like Vista's built in game features like parental monitoring.
What I ment to say was they didn't really show any 08 stuff at E3. But thanks for ripping me for the minor point and not accepting the fact that b!tching about sales is lame and pathetic.
but when your being offered the exact same thing for free, yes it is better.
Why is it neccessary for Sony to topple Live? They are two different systems with different games and different networks. It's not like Sony will be forced to use Live if PSN fails. The fact that Sony gives you every thing for free and doesn't hold any features back is appealing enough for some. In the end the only thing that matters is...can I get online to play some games? Thats it.
I somehow feel as if I have been transported back in time to about a month before E3. You know PS3 owners are feeling good now after E3, we have a good fall line up to look forward to and an even better '08, not to mention stuff like HOME and the return of rumble. I just see a bunch of venting because of a lack of negative PS3 news and bit of bad Xbox news (Moore's departure, admitance of faulty hardware, MS's Billion doller+ loss). My question is...why do you even care? X-box has a good lin...
From what I've read it's supposed to be about creating a new world or civilization, or something like that. It's also supposed to have the most realistic economy of any online game *gasp*, not really the most exciting feature.
Sadly to say but ID Software is now MS's b!@tch. What exactly is the benefit of a closed system? Less Piracy? PC games alrady have Product ID codes, which is more protection than consoles have. PC's have always been an open platform for gamers and I see no reason why that should change. I have never torrented or downloaded any new games, I've only ever emulated NES, SNES, and Sega games.
When are we going to see 30vs30 games on consoles? PC games have been doing since Battlefied 2.
The MGS series has always been rooted more in the genre of Japanese Anime(Sci-fi, mechs, ninja cyborgs, light comedy, and fan service) than games like Splinter Cell which are cut straight out of a Tom Clancy novel. I personally would have been sad if they took the exclamation points and stars out, they are a staple of the series. The fact that MGS doesn't take itself 100% seriously only makes it more fun.
Blizzard rakes in $135,000,000/per month, minus costs of managing so many servers is still a ridiculous amount of money. Who says PC gaming is dying?
But I would like for them to fit in with a game, like they do for movies. If you're doing ads for Pepsi make all vending machines in the game Pepsi machines, as long as it fits in. What I don't like is random branding all over the walls. I don't want to see a subway advert just painted on to a wall in Dust1 on Counter-strike, it just looks bad.
Couldn't agree more.
